Great service and product ... why all the hate?

"I've had nothing but great experiences with TubeDepot after several orders of new and NOS tubes / equipment. Dave from TubeDepot has always responded to my questions by email within 24 hours, has offered great support, and sold me exactly as advertised product. The one time I had an issue with new product (not NOS), they honored their warranty and responded quickly with no muss or fuss. I really don't get all the hate and venom from the previous reviewers. I even once had to make an order over phone due to a payment issue on my end, and Joe bent over backward to make it happen despite the PITA I presented him.

TubeDepot has done right be me over and over again, and I always look forward to my next order with them.

This Tubestore is a fraud. Buyer beware!

"I purchased 4 tubes from them.

No email, no phone call, no response at all after the payment has been made. Waiting for 2 weeks, also still unable to contact them by anyway.

And of course, no shipment also although I paid for premium freight charges.

I totally regret making a transaction with them. It causes me headache and stress while in the other hand I have to keep my promise to my customer.

Tube Depot totaly swindler.

"I make order for parts over $200 waiting two weeks and nothing from them -no parts, no email, no phone answers . I do cancel my order by email and ask them send the money back to me- already 1 month is gone and no money from them. This company must be closed. Now will use fraud division and court against tube depot . Tube depot guys 1000% are SWINDLERS."

Stay away!!

"I ordered a set of JJ el34 tubes.
They were bad right out of the box I tested them with my knight tube checker and the orange short light came on immediately..
I called and told them the situation they told me I would have to pay to ship them back.
Which I did I got the second set and those are bad too samething.
I called again they told me I had to pay to ship them back again they acted like I was lying the two sets of tubes couldn't be bad,
They were rude and they acted like they could careless.
I've been working on tube amps for over 20 years
I even tested with old tubes that I replaced in the past and the orange light did not come on, the tester is not lying..
Goes to show that they're power matching in 24 hour burn in is b*******
Needless to say I did not ship them back I'm not paying for shipping again.
I don't have time for that kind of crap..

Buyer Beware!!!

"Tube depot used to be a great place to buy a quality amp kit with the best technical support an amateur can ask for. Not anymore.

I purchased recently a 5E3 kit which came with some wrong parts, bad parts and no technical support. NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT whatsoever; telephone or emails.

There are many other suppliers of kits and I'll keep a safe distance from this one. What a disappointment...

TubeDepot cancelled my order, I don't know why.

"I should have checked Resellerratings.com before I placed an order with TubeDepot.com. Before placing my order I checked all the pages on their website, and noted that they sell and ship internationally, no restrictions. I placed an order with TubeDepot for an Elekit TU-8200DX and some other tubes, total cost with shipping a little over $1000 USD. I placed the order using my credit card, and I received notice from my bank within hours that the charge had been made, and I received an email from TubeDepot that the order had been placed, #R053371682?. My first email inquiry 6 days after placing the order went unanswered, but my email two days later was responded to. They said my order was being reviewed by the security department, and that it would ship shortly. I called 4 days later and learned that the order was cancelled, and that a refund was in the works. They told me that PayPal (apparently PayPal administers all their credit card orders) had a problem with my credit card. I called PayPal and learned from them that there was “absolutely no issue with my card or the payment, and that the Vendor initiated the refund action.”

What I found particularly disappointing was the fact that they made no attempt to contact me to address whatever the issue was, they simply cancelled the order without informing me. I’ll never know who had an issue with this transaction, or what the issue was. Perhaps it was with where the merchandise was going, Saudi Arabia. The amp I was interested in is offered on Amazon, free shipping to Saudi Arabia. I like to do business with small business, and try to do so when I can, but I can’t recommend TubeDepot.com. To their credit however I did receive a refund, I don’t think they are crooks.

"Buy someone else or buy with pay pal, and you can stop the money until you haave your order, i make them an order 15 days ago and its supposed to be here at 10th day, well its not here and i cant cancell because i pay with credit card. Next time i will buy to tube store or guitar center or... customer service? You dont know what that words mind right? You sucks"

"Ive place numeous very large orders with these guys the cheapest being $400.00! Everything has always been fine till i bought one of thier mini tube amps. It came to me drop shipped and when opened found it rattling from silica beads that had burst open and were all over in the box, next comes testing the amp. Plug it in and tons of hum!! I call to explain and get an rma. Was told a new one would be sent when they get old one. Sent old amp in. Recieved amp back but its the same amp but now old tubes in it, scratched, humming and still with silica beads in it? Called and asked why? Was called "dude" by csr and told me hes to busy to mess with it to call next week? Ive since sent numerous emails and called, just being told they are working on it??
***UPDATE*****
Since this post the owner of the company has been in contact with me to remedy the issue. He has forgone the old one and advance shipped a new amp to me! The new amp is night and day from old. Problem has been resolved and promptly! Thank you to the CEO for stepping in to reaolve the issue! It is a ashame it takes all of this to resolve an issue but in the end i have a new amp and all is right in the land dor today! Based on expirience worth giving the guys a second chance!

"I have mixed feelings about this place. I have purchased a lot of stuff from these guys and have not had a problem in the past. A year ago I ordered a bunch of wire from them. It was a lacquered pvc hookup wire. It was great. It didn't fry when cut and looked like push-back wire, without the problems of push-back. I started to run out, so I ordered more of various colors. This latest batch looks like it wasn't lacquered. When I would cut it, the ends would fry and get fuzzy... Making the amp look like crap. I compared a piece of the old order with a piece of the new stuff and you could see that the new didn't have the shiny laquired coating on it. I sent an email about this problem and the only response was 'no returns on items cut to order'. Well of course it was cut to order... It was wire I ordered in 50' reels. They didn't offer any apology for the poor quality product.. Just referred me to their return policy. Not very good customer service. Now I have three different spools of hookup wire that I refuse to use, because it looks like crap and I take pride in the look of my amps. So don't expect any return business from me."

"Why didn't I come here first. These few guys running this store have absolutely no customer service skills. I ordered twice from them. The first time I was treated great. So I ordered again from them and when I even mention there is a problem I am treated terrible, told there is a 20 percent restocking fee and essentially I am screwed. They could care less about repeat customers. If you have high blood pressure definitely stay away. The USA needs good companies not crap like this.
I wanted to update my situation. I have gotten a refund. But those reading this should know that Tubedepot actually sent me 2 x 12AX7 Tubes in a 6 ounce bubble wrap envelope. NO box. Unbelievable . I mean that is just complete stupidity to think anyone would accept a tube purchase like that. I wish I could give Tubedepot less than 1 star for what they have put me through.
There is a new update to this totally unnecessary hassle to myself. As it turns out USPS not only lost this package but they now have lied twice to me. I refused this package on the phone with the last stop, my local post office. The Representative there said they would scan it as refused and they did just that. But USPS is supposed to send the package back to the sender. Well they waited 3 days from that day and delivered it to me. And to make things even worse they either lied to me about how it was packaged or they had it confused with another package. It turns out the Tubes were in fact shipped properly in a box marked fragile. More than likely I have to assume they just conducted the refusal with only the tracking number and they had the wrong package in their hand. Now out of decency I am going to have to take the package to USPS and do my best to see that they return it. The seller should learn a huge lesson from this. When a package gets lost in the mail like this they should Always be kind to the customer and if possible send a replacement while waiting for the original package to show up. The entire duration of time in the mail was from 5-13-15 to 5-23-15. It is normally a 3 day ship at the most. USPS failed both of us but the Seller does not have the customer service skills to realize that Mail does get lost. It really sucks I am still somehow stuck in this deal. To the seller: First I am not a liar. I was told incorrectly the packaging method by USPS. Why? Neither one of us will never know. Ask yourself why would I lie seriously its insane. I had thought this ordeal was over and now I am back in it. I can only imagine you still wont realize that I am just a customer. I am not USPS. All I ever attempted to ask of Tube Depot was to send me 2 tubes while the existing order was in limbo going from Postal location to another. You guys would have nothing to do with that. And I just spent 100 dollars with you on another order. Now I don't have to go out of my way to try and get this package back to you but because I am a decent person I will.

"Really fantastic service. I'm seeing alot of negative reviews on here about these guys and I totally don't understand why. I've ordered from TubeDepot several times over the years and every time it's fast, easy, and the cheapest prices around. Their customer service is really superb as well. I spoke to several representatives when I was having amp trouble, and Eric walked me through the process of troubleshooting for over a week via email. I also had one issue where a rectifier tube came in the box broken and they shipped me a new one ASAP. Their selection is great, the organization of the website is simple, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for new tubes. "

"Inconsistent service. Ordered twice with them with no problems, then the third time they were out of the tubes I ordered (why are they listed as available if they're not?), so I waited months, literally, for the order, and instead of the higher price tube I ordered they sent me a cheap generic tube. I'm supposed to put that in my amp?? I contacted them and they really didn't care. Didn't offer to reimburse met, told me to ship it back at my time and expense. Really disappointing customer service.
They don't seem to comprehend that the people who order these tubes actually have audio or musical equipment that they really care about.
