demo,but for the price and refund policy I figured I would take chance. The camera arrived 2 days after I ordered it in a sealed box from Canon. The camera is in perfect condition,not a scratch or mark on it. Would recommend and will definitely to business with them in the future.

"I had a great experience with The Imaging World. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I did place my order with them while they were closed for the holiday. Even though the fact they were closed was CLEARLY MARKED on their website, Joel contacted me and said if I was in a hurry I should buy from someone else. I wasn't in a hurry and am glad I bought from them. Considering they are a Nikon authorized dealer and aren't selling gray products, I could not find a better price. "I found this store two months ago on Ebay, during the MS cashback promotion, and bought my first camera. I picked them because of the great prices, current reseller rating, and the fact they are an actual authorized Canon dealer. I was amazed at the fast and professional service. "I have been in the process of switching from Nikon to Canon. Based the reviews of Imaging World on this website, I decided to purchase my equipment from IW. I worked with Joel to order a sizeable purchase and he exhibited great patience as we worked through hoops of dealing with Visa and my timing requirements. IW is a Canon dealer and the merchandise is US warranty, not gray market stuff. IW had the best prices that I found and their service was prompt as promised. "I used Price Grabber to find a highly-rated re-seller of high quality camera equipment that also had attractive prices. Price Grabber lead me to The Imaging World. I had a bit of a unique need from the re-seller. I wanted to pay using PayPal, but I was spending the summer at a seasonal home which is not the billing address for my credit card. It was an "unconfirmed" address, which many merchants that accept PayPal refuse to use as a shipping address. I called Joel before placing the order and he was able to determine the validity of my address by simply looking at my caller ID on his phone. He quickly agreed to ship to my unconfirmed address. I might add that other re-sellers like B+H refused to even consider such a shipment and others like Adorama consumed 4-5 days trying to figure out how to deal with my request. I ordered both a Canon 40D body and an EF 16-35 L lens from Joel. He shipped both items quickly and they arrived safely packed and exactly as described on his website. I found it necessary to call him with a question and he quickly greeted me by name (from the caller ID) when I called. I couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction or a more reliable and friendly internet merchant. Don't hesitate to buy from The Imaging World."

"B&H customer for many years. Decided to try Imaging World and have been happy since I placed my first order several months ago. Joel called after I placed my first order to confirm ID on credit card. Not at all an inconvience. All vendors should do this with new customers. All my orders have arrived promptly and in good condition. Sometimes an item may be out of stock for a few days but is shipped as soon as Imaging World gets item on the shelf. I hope that this is due to "growing pains" as more folks appreciate the competive pricing and prompt customer service. I will buy from them in the future. "

"I placed an order on a canon 17-40 F4L lens with theimagingworld on Wednesday, June 25th because they had the cheapest price had decent ratings. Little did I know that I basically gave away my debit card number to an irresponsible company with liars as customer reps. I called them on that Friday since I had not received confirmation and my debit card had not been charged. The customer rep replied that the order will be processed on that friday or the next monday. Well, the next monday came and went, still nothing. So I called on Wednsday, and again was reassured by the same rep that it will be processed either on that day or the next. But again, nothing. SO the week AFTER that I called them for the third time and my debit card was FINALLY charged, although the charge was "pending" according to my bank account. Well today I noticed that the charge on my debit card was not "pending" anymore, meaning the imagingworld had definitely got my money, yet my order still shows on their website as "in process".

Nine business days (after discounting the weekends and Fourth of July) and after taking my money, they still haven't even shipped the lens. I should've just gone with amazon and ponied up the extra twenty bucks to save all this stress.

In their defense, that customer rep did say that their computer system was down for some time so that may have caused some delays. And he did mention that my debit card doens't match the address I provided (even though it should and the card had been successfully charged). TWO WEEKS for just charging my card, after giving me false reassurance, and making me call three times. Then getting my money without shipping thelens? Simply unacceptable.

Right now I just hope they'll finally ship the thing so I can get it over with.

Edit: I called them again, and apparently it's because the lens is on backorder. They did say they will get some more in stock this friday and will upgrade my shipping to next day shipping so kudos for that. But the website should've shown that it was out of stock. and even if I do get it next monday, it will have been almost three weeks since I placed my order.
