"I placed my order and immediately called to confirm it as instructed in the email. They attempted to sell me a memory card for an additional $300.00 to go with the camera stating the camera would not be usable without it. I knew that was not true so I refused the memory card. After a week I had heard nothing in spite of emails to request status. When I called, I was told that the order was cancelled because the camera was not available. They obviously were providing low pricing on the camera with the expectation to make up the difference on the memory card and when I would not purchase that they cancelled the order without benefit of notifying me. I guess I should be thankful they did not charge my account. I definitely do not recommend dealing with this company."

"This is a first for me. I got totally pulled in and made a big mistake. I took out the credit card! Don't do it. They bait and switch; sent me reburbished camera that did not work; I returned it, and I don't expect to hear from them again based on what everyone is saying on these reviews. I suspect I got taken for $300 plus! "

"I read the reviews AFTER ordering from them and was very nervous. I confirmed, they tried to upsell, I said no thanks and they hung-up. I emailed them stating that if this camera was refurbished to let me know and cancel my order. I heard nothing but also didn't receive the camera. I called to check and they said "that order has been canceled, that camera is not in stock" and hung-up. At least they didn't charge my account."

"Placed order online for the Panasonic Lumnix DMC-LX2. Upon placing the order, an email is sent asking you to call to confirm the order (who does this??). When I called, they tried to sell me a memory card for the camera. When I said I already had one, they then tell me the camera I ordered is refurbished (does not mention this anywhere on the website) and it would be another $100 for a new one. As soon as I started to argue the customer service guy said, “We’ll cancel your order, good bye.” And that was that.

DO NOT even take your chance with these guys. They are probably placing their own ratings here to keep them a little positive, but take my word for it, you don’t want to get involved with them…it is worth another $50 to go elsewhere.

"I have ordered twice from the same store,. different digital cameras. Please notice: no accessories. Did not get the orders shipped. I understand that they are making money on the accessories, but should not allow ordering a single item if this does not fit their "business model" of a sort... very disappointing experience. Bad part is - there are too many of the same "businessman" type on the net."

"BUYERS BEWARE!! DigitalExpo is out to rip you off!! This is one of those companies that hooks you in with a low price, requires you to call to confirm the order so they can try to sell you options at triple or more of what their cost should be. If you don't buy any of these extras, your order gets canceled but they never bother to tell you. I looked up every extra thing they tried to sell me and even after they "got permission from their supervisor" for the lowest price, I found that each of them actually sold for 1/3 of what they quoted. Don't bother posting a review on everyprice.com - they don't post negative reviews, which means the companies are likely paying them for this service."

"1.I placed my order online for one Pentax K100D upon checkout I noticed they had charged me for two cameras. I then went back to revise the order to reflect only one.
2.I received an email telling me to call them to confirm my order so they could ship it out.
3.I called them and asked if they carry a certain S.D. card and they told me that card would not work with that camera and recommended one that was twice the price and was the fastest card available. I said OK but with some reservations since I had never heard of the card they were recommending.
4. I was then asked if I wanted an extended warranty that would cover virtually anything short of throwing the camera in the river to include accidental dropping. I bought that as well.
5. Then he offered me a camera bag for a substantial discount. I bought that too.
6. He then gave me a total of 887.00 that would be charged to my credit card. I realized that the total was way more than it should have been and asked if he could summarize it for me and he hung up on me.
7. The total should have been 772.00 plus shipping.
8. I called the next day, which was Monday and told them that I wanted to cancel the order for the card and the warranty. I was put on hold for 15 minutes.
9. I called back and was very rudely told that I was just going to have to stay on hold.
10. When they finally picked up they asked me what the problem was and I told them I was trying to cancel the card and warranty and asked what the other charges were for and was told they were for shipping.
11. The original charge for shipping for the camera was 14.93 with no tax for a grand total of 463.93
12. Now my shipping charges were 115.00 after adding a S.D. card a warranty card and a camera bag.
13. He continued to argue with me stating that the package had already been shipped and there was nothing he could do except to give me a refund after I received the package and sent the card and warranty back.
14. I called to finalize this order on a Sunday, called back the minute they opened on Monday and the package was already shipped? I don't think so!
15. After several phone calls, a lot of rude responses, accusations and generally disgusting behavior on there part I told them to cancel the entire order or I would turn them in to the proper authorities.
16. They finally got the message and agreed to cancel my entire order.
17. To summarize these people are very shady and fraudulent. They would not sell me the camera for the advertised price without gouging me on the upsells. DO NOT UNDER ANY CURCUMSTANCES DEAL WITH THEM.

"I will add that the salesman did ask me to purchase other items when I called back to confirm the order, and when I explained that I already had them, the salesman (Chris)then commented that the camera I purchased was at the refurbished price ($125-Canon A540), and that a new one would cost $225. I stated that I did not wish to order the new camera, and to please cancel the order. I asked for a confirmation #, he provided the following (C44) and his name last name, "Andrews." I will just keep an eye on the transaction to verify that it is not processed. Finally, I will have to agree with the other posts, DigitalExpo truly misrepresented what they are selling."

"Purchasing a camera online.
$309.00 w/shipping $323.90
Printed confirmation letter, it requests us to call and confirm transaction before they shipped.
Salesman asks if we want a battery with the camera, we reply they come with one.
Only then he tells us refurbished cameras come without batteries. We state we are purchasing a NEW camera! He informs us new cameras are $399.
We then request he cancel the order all together.
Only later, in the fine print we see his disclamer stating a 20% charge for cancelling orders. He already has our charge card information. So in fear of fraudulent activity we were forced to cancel our card.

"On December 23, 2006 tried to purchase the Sony Cybershot H2 digital camera from thedigitalexpo.com for $239 + shipping. My order number was 284497. After completing the checkout online, I received an email saying that I needed to call them and confirm my order due to the amount of fraud that they receive. They gave me the number of ***-***-**** ext. 201. On December 24, 2006, I called them to confirm my order someone named James answered the phone. I told him my order number and that I wanted to confirm my order. He said fine and put me on hold for a few minutes while he looked up my order. He then came back and said that the camera did not come with the media pro duo card which is said on their site and that I need to buy one. I had the option of buying a 512 MB for around $50 I don't remember the exact number or a 1 GB for 70 somthing. I told him that I had a card already. He told me that I did not have the right card and that I should buy one from them. I told him at least 4 times that I had the right card and that I was not interested. Once he finally realized that I was not authorizing the purchase of a card he told me that the camera that they show on their website is actually a refurbished camera and not the one that they are advertising for $239. He then said that if I wanted a new one that it would cost me $329 plus shipping. I told him to cancel my order and he then hung up on me. Less than a minute later they called me and tried to sell me some stuff and get me to confirm my order. I told them that I was not interested in a refurbished model so they hung up again. A few minutes later I received an email from them saying that my order had been canceled. This company advertised things as new when they are actually refurbished, makes you call them to confirm orders in order to prevent fraud when they can actually do this without making you call them, and harasses people to buy accessories that are way overpriced. I have a pdf printout from the page containing the Cybershot H2 camera as well as the emails saying to confirm and that my order has been canceled.
Because of this, I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, FBI, and FTC.

"Same story here, but MUCH WORSE is the following: there is another site that has all positive reviews, the POLAR OPPOSITE of this site that tells the truth. When I tried to post a warning there about digitalexpo.com, it didn't get posted -- and my review was ignored and set as "pending review". The fake site is: http://www.everyprice.com, where you can view the store's rating of "100%"! !!! This has got to be illegal, pretending to have all positive reviews. It is an outrage. Here is my review that they ignored (I just emailed every contact from their web page with this as well:)

" He gets all billing info first, if you buy the items he is pressuring you to buy you might get the original item. When you say no for the 10th time he is rude and tells u it is out of stock and hangs up. It was just in stock before you said no to the over priced accessories. He puts you on hold, yells at you, hangs up on you, won't answer any questions. Have him on tape after i was hung up on and had been put on hold three times. I actually got to speak with a different guy named john, when I called back the 3rd time. he claims they are just out of stock on everything, and they really do sell and send out 15,ooo packages per day. When I asked for owner, can't give that info, asked for manager, john says he is the manager.
THIS HAS RIPOFF, liars and cheat and FRAUD written all over it. How do we file complaints, and get them shut down????
