"I ordered the X-Ecuter 3 w/1.6 LPC rebuild on 12/29/2004 1:23:00 PM . I paid for overnight shipping and recieved the order in a timely manner as expected. However when I opened the package it was missing the Power/Eject Button pcb and wire. I promptly notified system-mods.com via phone and was told that they would send the missing part out right away. After waitng two weeks I called again and was told that it should be shipping out that week. I have been calling every thursday sence then and am always told the same thing. On Thursday, February 10th I recieved an e-mail telling me my order had been shipped so I called the next day and was told it had infact shipped and I should be recieving it the following monday or tuesday. That was two and a half weeks ago. I just got off the phone with them again and was told that they were sorry for the mistake and that they will ship it out via ups so they can give me a tracking #.

Update: The last phone conversation was a week ago today I did not recieve parts and I did not get a tracking #. I e-mailed ****@**** a week ago and have not even recieved a reply. It has now been over two months sence I was first told that they would ship my part right out to me. There is now reason in the world for this kind of costomer sevice ( or lack of ). So I must say system-mods.com is the worst company I have ever done buissness with.

"UPDATE: I spoke with NPA and he said that they cannot check on the status of an RMA. Just that when it's done that the status will change on my order to complete. That's not very helpful. I hope system-mods can quickly transfer from the mom and pop operation to the new larger center quickly. The RMA process is cumbersome and the fact that nobody can tell you what is going on is not very professional. They have your money and they should be committed to satisfiying the customers. Especially when a product is sent with a manufacturing defect.


The product I purchased has a manufacturing defect. System-mods has been claiming that their RMA system is down and cannot process an RMA. I asked when the RMA system is fixed, how long can I expect a replacement? The gentlemen told me 4 to 6 weeks. Emails requesting info have been ignored as to when I can ship my part back for an RMA. I don't want to just ship it without prior authorization otherwise I will be out the money and the part won't be in my hands anymore.

To System-mods credit, they are all over it when it comes to getting your parts out on time. I ordered on Tuesday morning and my parts were there on Thursday as promised. I love their order tracking system. If they can get my RMA handled in a timely manor I will order from them again. Previous orders from system-mods were top notch.

"Previous overnight order placed prior day was improperly handled by their site. Called the next morning and inquired whether my reorder would ship same day I was promised it would. Reorderd the items and they did not ship as promised. When I spoke to an individual there was told the what the website said as far as shipping policies. When informed of the promise made over the phone by a rep there prior to order I was bascially called a liar and was told how lucky it was even shipping today rather then the following day. Wrong way to trat returning customers. I would have been fine with being told there was a problem getting it out the same day and sorry for the inconvienence. Being called a liar will not retain me as a customer. Be careful ordering from these guys.

The person I contacted on chat that said he was also the one on the phone which I doubt because he had no idea of the particulars of the matter the following day I spoke with him was BlackWolf. Hop that helps. In the past I never had any problems but this was enough to never make me come back."

I have no feedback on support because it was not needed. I placed my order. I received my confirmation e-mail. I tracked my order with the supplied order number. I the had my order at the house a couple of days later. The quality of the items I received were excellent.

"My wife ordered me a pre-mod as a Christmas gift on December 17.

It's now February 16.

I have no pre-mod.

My wife was told of various shortages, again and again, when she could get through to someone. More often, we'd get a lying outgoing voicemail message about how all the orders shipped on Wednesday, or were going to ship this week.

Which Wednesday would that be? Which week is "this week?"

If these guys aren't runing a scam, they seem to be going out of their way to make it look like they are."

"After going through hell with Chipdealer.com (I wil never buy from them/try to buy from them again. They are a shady group) I went to SMT.I placed a order last friday for over night shipping.
