"I purchased my first chip from System-Mods and found that they offered the best price for these chips. Even after adding shipping, they were still cheaper than most other sites who were charging more just for the chip.

I bought two Xecuter 2.6 CE chips that arrived in a week. Both chips work great but had a problem with one of the switches that is getting replaced as we speak. The online rep. was quick to answer my request and was extremely curtious as well, which is a plus.

I definitely plan to order more in the near future here and hope to continue getting the great service I have so far.

"I doubted System-Mods for a second since their site looks really bad and shady compared to say extreme-mods.com but these guys really are the mod scene forget the low rating on here and the frumpy site. I got my package in a timely manner and everything came perfectly packaged. I even noted that I wanted my package well protected and they took the necessary measures to make sure my X3CP came in one piece. I did have some problems with my LCD but their support walked me through the troubles and my xbox is looking better then ever thanks system mods you guys deserve a higher rating."

"***Update*** After two months of phone tag, chat room hell, and unaswered email the missing part finally arrived. Wors experience ever!!!*** I mod x-boxs on a regular basis in the town I live in and have always recommended SMT until now. The last order I had a friend make arrived over a week after it was ordered and it was missing a wire needed to make it work. After calling several times and only getting voicemail we emailed the company about the missing part. We were told that they would "investigate" the order and contact us. this was over two weeks ago and we have heard nothing. Evrey time we call we get routed to the voice mailbox. I will not recommend SMT again unless this is resolved quicky. "

"the are back on track it seems. Everything in my order went smooth. My order shipped with in 24hr and i received everything with out any problems. One of my chips was bad and i sent it back for rma and received a replacement 2 weeks after. "Placed order for (2) items from sellers website and received only one item that I ordered. I tried E-mailing the seller several times and received no response. I tried calling the seller several times a day for several days and they do not answer the phone. I finally got through to the seller over the phone and they told me they were investigating the incident and would get back to me in a week. It has been over a well over a week and they still will not contact me. This seller stole my money. Order from someone else unless you want to be ripped off. I place several orders from Extreem-mods after this happened and they were great and I had no problems at all.

"I have had terrible luck with this company! I placed an order for a modchip/hard drive install in December. Due to a backorder on the 120 Gb hard dive, they held my order until late January. So I cancelled the hard drive off the order and they installed the Modchip and shipped it 1/25/05. I received it in a few days. I have called 11 times asking for my refund of the money for the cancelled harddrive. They have said they are not equipped to do refunds, except thru Paypal. Due to my house being broke into, I have cancelled my Credit cards, and I do not want to use Paypal. So they said to call back and choose option 991, when I do they dont answer and their voicemail box is full. Hopefully they will see my issue on the posting and get my refund to me. "

"Im not one to bad mouth anybody for anything, but I will NEVER purchase anything from this store again. I order an excuter 2.6 on december 1, 2004 and it came rather quickly. I was impressed by this, but the chip never worked. so i sent it back and i didn't get the chip back until THREE MONTHS LATER. I thinks that is wrong. i don't care what kind of problems a company is having, you don't make a customer wait that long for anything, thats how companies go out of business, especially since i had to PAY to ship the chip back and system mods did not offer any consolation for this. On top of that,when i finally got the chip back it was missing the two MOST IMPORTANT PARTS besides the chip itself, the D0/lan/HDD wires and the header pin. i contacted them and they were nice enough to resend them, but i took them a WEEK just to do that. So you add on the five days it will take for the chip to get here and you get almost FOUR MONTHS has gone by and i haven't got anything out of this chip from system-mods. so people out there, how would you feel if your xbox was out of commission for four months? this situation was horrible and i think they could of handled it better. so in short, system mods WILL NEVER EVER OBTAIN MY BUSINESS AGAIN BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL LIKE WAITING FOR FOUR MONTHS TO USE ANY PRODUCT THAT I BUY FROM THEM. "

"hi everybody,
actually i'm tired of writing a review on system-mods, but i just found this forum. so, let's get it on.
my experience with SMT is very bad.
i ordered 3 xecuter3 chips on 11th november '04. as i live in germany, the packet arrived fast. something good, i must admit. but inside the packet there was only one chip!
so i tried to tell system-mods, but it took me a while to find out that there email was down. so, a friend of mine got to contact nolga, the owner, in a forum and told him about my concern. he said, my 2 missing chips would be shipped per USPS. i waited and waited but nothing arrived. so, i tried to contact SMT through their irc-channel. but there i was always told that "it would be looked into it". and everytime i got there and asked if there was something new about my order, i got a "no". i found the forums on www.xbox-scene.com and www.teamxecuter.com and posted there my reviews. i pm'd nolga (even in their irc-channel, because i was told to try!) and i left some more reviews. but nolga did not answer. never until today. and today i am waiting more than 4 months since i ordered!
needless to say that i paid for everything. even the import-taxes for all three chips, because the invoice is indeed saying 3 X3s.
now, the last thing i heard from SMT is an email from 23 february '05 stating that my order has been shipped via UPS and that it should arrive in 1-2 days. well, nothing until today. so i got to the irc-channel, where i found out that this email was an automated email and that all orders would be shipped this week(the last five days from today) and that they would be shipping with USPS, but the operator did not know how they handle international.
(haha!)
i just don't know what i shall do anymore. i can't go there and talk to them or something like that as i live in germany. i hope that someday nolga will get back to me! or that someday my 2 missing chips arrive, just like a big surprise.
but honestly, as a customer i feel very disrepected and disregarded by SMT.
an apology would be the least that should come from SMT (besides my 2 chips!), don't you think?

"Never order from this site! I ordered something months ago - and I never got it! Their website said that the order was "completed", yet, I never got it. I have sent four e-mails to them, and I have never heard back. I have called and left at least five messages - again, no response. I even called the site that handles their transactions...they got my money, but there is nothing that I can do. Stay away from these guys... I would have posted sooner, but I just found out about this web site.

In response to the response I have just received, I ask you this: first, why am I required to log on to your site and post in a forum about an order that I placed in December? are the other methods of communication that you list on your site simply for show? do you not monitor them? because if you do, it is simply rude to not respond.
the most important question is this...if you know what the problem is, than why did I never receive my order? are you planning on sending it now? or are you willing to do the right thing and refund my money?
to your company's credit, it is nice to see how much attention you pay to this site and what people are saying about you. I mean, a response in less than 24 hours! it would be superb if you devoted some of that time to your phone lines and e-mail responses!
until something is actually DONE about this, I will remain VERY disappointed with you. you have sixty dollars that belongs to me, now what are you going to do about it?

New update: I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THIS PLACE! To all of you reading this, it seems like most of you at least received SOMETHING from this crock of a business...they just stole from me. If anyone has any ideas on how to further expose these criminals, please let me know!
