Horrible customer service

"There was a package on my porch last night, it was delivered to the wrong address, so I called the company to let them know. The first person I talked to told me to go delivery it myself and that they would call and tell the people to come to my home to pick it up. Never even asked me how far I lived from the correct address. The post office had already told me, and I explained to the company, that I would have to drop it off but I work and leave after it closes. The 2nd person told me she would call the person that ordered it and ask if they wanted to reorder. I'm leaving the package by my mailbox with a note but they wont pick up anything not in the box. This company won't do anything for the poor guy that tried to send a gift. Paul sorry if they never get the gift you sent."

"Ordered on line 80.00 dollar worth for gift and for serving the holidays. Never came when I called to check on order they figured it was sent to wrong address. I was told sorry nothing we can do. Where out of stock on everything.Refunded money that's it"

Horrible Business Ethics!!

"I ordered the Merry Christmas petits fours online and used a coupon code to receive 20 assorted chocolates Plus 24 petits fours. Prior to check out, there was a message that said to request the free items to be shipped to a different address, with additional $3.99 s&h, to call the customer service number or email AFTER order is completed. I called 8 times with each message saying the customer service representatives were all busy and to tray again at a later time, then the line would disconnect. After 2 attempted calls I emailed with my order number, where I wanted to have my free items sent to And I requested for a customer representative to call me back. My email was sent on Friday, 12/11/20 at 12:11 p.m. I called the additional 6 times throughout the day, with the same message and disconnect. I received a shipping confirmation on 12/12/20 at 4:57 a.m. with ALL the items being sent to one address. I immediately called Swiss Colony upon reading the email on Saturday, 12/12/20. The message simply said to call back during regular business hours! I again called on Monday, 12/14/20 and Again get the same message that all representatives are busy and to try again at a later time then the line disconnects.
On Sunday, 12/13/20 at 1:40 p.m. I get an email stating, "Your order has been shipped. Therefore, we cannot make the requested change. Our packages are shipped in refrigerated trucks to a postal center near the delivery area and then delivered by the U.S. Post Office. The packages stay refrigerated as long as possible before release to the Post Office. we hope this information is helpful to you."
So Swiss Colony can email me on the weekend but not answer my phone calls!
I guarantee will Never buy from Swiss Colony. I will never refer Swiss Colony. Very disappointed with my entire experience with this company.

Shipping

"Shipping is terrible. I was able to talk to Fedex and was told that they use the cheapest shipping method possible and use USPS as the final carrier. Average time is 10 to 15 days. This is unacceptable given the fact that their shipping is very expensive and it is perishable food. From now on I will deposit any more catalogs I receive directly into the trash. "

Worst company I've ever dealt with

"They rope you in with their credit they provide, so I placed an order and everything was OK. I placed another order used the credit they said I needed to place a down payment. I paid a down payment of $365 then their website kept saying "declined" didn't go through - I canceled the order. I checked today my bank said it DID go through. I called their credit customer service only to get Indians on the phone and then hung up on after wasting almost an hour on the phone. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They have extremely bad customer service. I will stick with Omaha Steaks."

Ruined Easter during COVID

"Ordered 4 baskets on 4/1 to arrive by Easter 4/12. They didn’t arrive. I’ve asked them to file a claim with FedEx. They told me to donate the items to charity. What?? My grandchildren who were quarantined during COVID never received their baskets. Horrible business. I’m out $127 and my grandchildren had no Easter baskets. "

Good until it’s not!

"Today I contacted the Swiss Colony because of an order I placed about a month ago through Seventh Avenue. At the time, I was sent a letter stating that the order couldn’t be completed because of security and fraud issues. Contacted them and I was told to order over the phone and send it to my address and I would have a better chance of receiving the item. I went to make a payment today and now my credit line is 0.00. I called and was told that the credit line is just a number that is given but the credit is run every time we order. I asked what happened between the time the original order was placed to now. All I got was attitude. At one point I told the rep to calm it with the attitude. Needless to say I will cancel my account after I finish paying. (I will note that my credit with them is excellent. I always pay on time. Also, I gave 3 stars because I’ve always been happy with the products.)"

Credit scam

"Just as another customer reported. I made several orders on my credit card- suddenly they sent me a letter saying my credit card had been denied and the opened a line of credit at 25% interest. I called them to say this was illegal and they said read the fine print. My card was NOT denied at the time of the order- this is clearly a credit scam. I will be reporting them.

Terrible Service & Overall Credit Cheaters

"I ordered 4 shipments in December. I paid with my credit card. I received a bill stating I open a credit account and I owe them money. How is this possible when I ordered on-line and paid with my CC on-line. The shipments all made it to its location so why ship if they did not receive payment, great question. Then you they have the balls to charge late fees and interest. WOW!

I will never do business with these guys again!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!

"I ordered something and it said 5-7 days for shipping. Got an email it would arrive on Thursday. Then another one saying Saturday. Then another saying Wednesday the following week. I contacted them through email and they just replied saying sorry for the inconvenience it’s the shippers fault. So I said you pick the shipper, it’s your fault. No response. So I called explained it to the rep and she said standard is 7-10 days. I told her it does not say that online. She said oh well standard is 7-10. I said no it doesn’t say that and went on to explain the emails and how my package hasn’t moved in 2 days and SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! I have recommended so many people to them and used them for so many occasions, NEVER AGAIN!!! "

Beware if you are Elderly

"This company has no qualms about refusing to refund to the elderly. My mom purchased a gift pack for a family member. Mom returned it, they issued the refund. Due to changing addresses she never got the check to cash it. As her son, I have tried to get them to re-issue the check for the past 9 months. They have promised and promised but never follow thru. "

Order scam

"I placed an order in December and the items were confirmed and paid for. Then I received an email telling me the main item was not available and I would need to choose something else. I just told them to cancel the order. Imagine my surprise when, about a week later, the other items showed up. They are telling me they cannot cancel orders due to how they are shipped - say what? It is okay for them to cancel items from my order but I cannot cancel it? They refuse to allow a return and refuse any kind of adjustment. I will never buy from them again."

Classic Bait and Switch

"Swiss Colony sent me a catalog last year offering me credit terms for ordering from them. I ordered around $300 worth of items for Christmas gifts. I paid my account off and the gifts were well received. I had some issues, but nothing major. This past year, I got the same offer. $400 credit and a free assorted chocolate tin. I placed an order.

Your order has been denied. You need to pay in advance.

I explained that I was a returning customer, that I had my previous account, and I was told, (quite rudely), to read the fine print. My order could be rejected for any reason or require a down payment or payment in full. Needless to say, I shopped elsewhere, got great quality and prices, free shipping and was treated with courtesy.

Never again Swiss Colony.
