Spothero found me a spot for 12.00 from 5p to 5a , ok cool got email with IR scan code, parked I'm good. 4:21 am on the 6th THE WHOLE EMAIL DISAPPEARED FROM MY GMAIL NO CODE NO NOTHING !! So if it wasnt for an attendant letting me out after showing the charge to my bank I'd still be sitting there. BEWARE OF THIS B.S. be sure to screenshot your email."
"I booked a SpotHero parking spot in Revere, MA. Though the instructions told me to wait for a valet, I drove around a Comfort Inn parking lot for 15 minutes before going inside and finding that there was no valet, the service was merely a drop-off. There were no signs or guidance to show me where to park or give up my keys.
On the way home, I called from the airport as instructed to ask for a shuttle. It took the shuttle 45 minutes to arrive instead of 10 - the driver kept driving around and around the airport, missing the people he was supposed to pick up.
The people I did speak to were courteous, but no one had any idea what they were doing or what to tell me when I asked for help."
"Searched Spothero for a parking spot specifying arrival at 9:30am and exit by 7:30pm and found a garage for $24. Pulled up to the garage ten minutes after 10am and hit "Book Now". Spothero took my money.
When I returned at 6:30pm the garage demanded $8 more. Why? The fine print on the booking pass issued after taking my money said that the price I'd paid applied only for arrivals before 10am. No, I didn't see this warning when I searched or booked. Although I saw no notification, it is possible that this was there in tiny print, but if so, this is terrible design and given that I booked after 10am this is doubly bad design and just unethical business practice.
A call to Spothero after the fact was to no avail--even after appealing to a supervisor. The rep and then the supervisor told me that it was my responsibility to read the parking pass and abide by the terms, i.e., the parking pass that Spothero issues after taking a customer's money.

"I booked a 3 day parking in DC through Spothero. I received comfirmation and followed all procedures when parking. Put the confirmation page on the Dashboard. I come to pickup my Van on the 3rd day to find out that it had been towed away the next day itself. I called the parking lot and they claimed that they did not have any parking through spothero. I was charged $ 504 to get my Van released from the towing lot and was given a summon for $ 250 for illegal parking in a private lot.
I provided all details to Spothero and have sent multiple emails but havent received any updates or reimbursement .

"This app ruined my concert experience! I bought my parking validation ahead of time because I knew that parking would be bad in Atlanta, Georgia. It stated on the app that the parking garage was 2 minutes away from the venue; it was 15 minutes. I had to walk 15 minutes to the venue because of false advertising, at night, while it was raining. Upon exiting the concert I couldn’t get to my car because the parking garage was locked down and CLOSED! All the exits were closed and were restricted by cones. I will never use this app again. Just save yourself of the anxiety and time and either park at a nearby garage or use Lyft!"
"My experience with booking my reservation was so positive, I had high hopes for SpotHero. The customer service was responsive and helpful. Imagine my disgust and disbelief, then, when I entered the address in my GPS navigation and followed the directions but could not locate the lot! The address did not seem to exist. I did find myself in a parking lot, but it did not look anything like the photo or description on the website, seemed to belong to the business next to it, and furthermore did not seem like a safe location to leave my car. I called customer service but got no response. After wasting time driving around trying to find the lot and continuing to try to call, I eventually had no choice but to park at O'Hare, and I am now paying double for parking. I am very frustrated and would recommend finding out everything you can about the parking location before you go. I probably will not try to use SpotHero again."
"We left our comedy show to find our car GONE. It was towed from the reserved spot even though we had confirmation of the reservation. A glitch in the system somehow defaulted the license plate to a random number. Our customer service experience was horrific. We spoke to the manager Taylor/Charlie. She was extremely condescending and unhelpful. She refused to give us terms that would allow us to be reimbursed by spot hero for the cost of the tow ($200) and the $40 in Uber’s we had to take to get around once the car was towed, not to mention what we paid for the actual Spot. All while this was a mistake made by Spot Hero!!! Then she’s proceeded to tell us if we blasted this information that she would personally make sure that no one at Spot Hero would take our call or help us with this extremely frustrating situation. The absolute WORST customer service I have ever seen. "
"If I could give this app zero stars I would. They oversold the parking lot by several hundred reservations according to the parking attendants. People were waiting in line to get into the lot for 30 minutes only to be told they couldn't park there. We were told to go to another lot several blocks away, but it wasn't certain if there were spots, nor was our reservation guaranteed even if a spot were available. Total joke. Just take a rideshare service instead.
We missed the first third of our concert because of the parking situation.
Fortunately, as we were next in line to exit the lot, one of the attendants found a single remaining spot for us. Still, this service is a joke. Don't bother"
"Do not use SpotHero!!! Our experience was to say the least stressful. In trying to locate the SpotHero parking location before Michael Buble's concert at Amalie Arena Downtown Tampa, we drove around the block 10 times, making inquiries with people in the area including 3 Tampa policemen. No one had heard of the 140 N. Florida St. lot or its location and we could find it, much less any signage for it. Very frustrating!! We had to pay $12.00 at another lot to be able to get to the concert on time. SpotHero robbed us of their $10.00 prepaid fee. We spent $22.00 total and premium adjacent to the Amalie Arena is $25.00.1742222"
"I went to a garage I've used before using Spot Hero, but their equipment didn't work and there was no attendant on site to answer our call. With cars stacking up behind me, I took a ticket to answer and called Spot Hero customer service before I exited. They told me to try calling the attendant again, but not to worry because I'd be reimbursed if I had to pay to exit. I tried to scan my QR code upon exit to no avail, so I paid (again) for the spot and got a receipt. It turns out that I won't be reimbursed -- they gave me a CREDIT. So I paid twice for the spot and am out additional funds until I need to use their service again. Their excuse is that they cannot get payment back from the garage, but of course, they won't reimburse me from the funds I paid THEM. So if the equipment isn't working, don't expect to get reimbursed when you pay twice for a spot. Spot Theft, not Spot Hero."

"Booked a spot for the Sat after Thanksgiving to see Book of Mormon. Got the the lot, which was one block from the theater, 45 minutes before the show started. We drove all the way up to the roof without finding an open spot. At that point, there were cars backed up for floors behind us, so leaving wasn't an option. It took almost an hour before we could park and we were late for the beginning of the show. The entire elevator of people we rode down in the garage with had all booked through SpotHero and all had to wait for at least 40 minutes before they could park. Clearly, they had oversold the structure. There is no point saving a couple bucks parking if you miss what you came to park for. Plus the spot they finally stuck me in was so crammed that my date had to exit the car through the drivers side -- couldn't even open the passenger door. Horrible experience. Will never use SpotHero again and will tell anyone who asks that it's a ripoff."
" I booked and confirmed for a spot in Atlanta next to acquarum on Thanks giving day, when I reached, the lot was closed. I end up paying lot of money finding another place. So inconvenient."
