How can the UK standards allow a PLC company which claims to be big and have won retailer awards run without and customer service helpline.

Telephone helpline does not exist - appalling

Ordered treadmill and it arrived broken.
Have contacted CS (email option only) and have been advised they will contact the manufacturer.
Why contact manufacturer? Item is faulty and its either replace with a new one or a refund.

Have asked them for a replacement or refund and no reply since.
Waiting for 6 days now for a reply but nothing.

Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid !

Will never ever again buy from this place - even if they are giving away things for a penny.

Sports Direct Borehawood

"Absolutely worst shop I have ever seen. Store manager called "Fiona" is a very rude, abusive and uneducated woman.
I was going to purchase swimming googles priced on a shelf at £12.99, took this stuff and went to pay, then girl at checkout said that this price is wrong
Unfortunately uneducated staff there doesn't know Consumer Rights Act that they must honour shelf price. They said "we have 24 hours to rectify a problem" but I have asked who said that and where it is written they were unable to show me, just said that it is their policy.
I have requested to see a store manager, hen she came and was very abusive and not interested in solving a problem.
Additionally I have purchased a pair of shoes on a ground level and paid for it, this small rude uneducated woman in a revenge of my requests based on Consumer Act Right had an allegation allegation to me that I haven't paid for it and stolen these shoes!
What a shame!, behaviour below any standards, I'm not surprised that Sports Direct is a really bad brand if people like store manager Fiona creates an image of Sports Direct.

WHAT A JOKE!!! DISGUSTED!!!

"Why can you not put zero stars?? They do not deserve 1 star.
The customer i have recieved from these over the last week or so is a joke!! I ordered over £200 worth of items from these nearly 3 weeks ago, i received an email stating that it had been delivered and left in a secure place i came home to find the parcel no there, i was sent a picture as to where the pictire was left and its so blurry that you cant even see the parcel. I have since then been emailing them for the last 2 weeks trying to find out where my parcel is. I have now been sent a form to complete which now states that the parcel was signed for by someone at the delivery address, which cannot be as there was nobody home at the stated the parcel was delivered. What's so frustrating is that you cannot call or contact them via phone or in store to actually talk to somebody in person you have to wait fod knows how long for a reply. They have sent this form to be completed which i now have to go out of my way to print off to be able to send back to them i find This appalling!!
I wouldnt mind but its over £200 worth of stuff and its for my sons birthday!!
Very very P*ssed off with this whole situation and the way it is being dealt with.

I will not be ordering online from sports direct in the future!!!

"I went to the shoe section in Sports Direct in Thurmaston earlier today. I wanted to buy some Sketchers shoes. I waited 8-10 minutes but no staff were available. I went to the store entrance and asked for assistance and was told that someone would be with me shortly. I waited another 8-10 minutes and as no one came I left the store. Will go to Clark’s tomorrow, more expensive but at least I will be served! "

"I have ordered a pair of BOY shoes for my 3 years old son via online. It seemed good price the 20£ for Kickers boots. I have found the boots among the boys shoes. I loved it and I bought it immediately. https://www.sportsdirect.com/kickers-infants-shoes-029182#colcode=02918299
There was a sign near the pictures: "The style you receive may vary from the image shown" . OK maybe not blue, or not with 3 fasten tapes, but Kickers and real leather boots for BOYS.
I have got a PINK, PATENT boots with BUTTERFLIES on the ankle.

Lovely. Could you imagine my son's face when I told just try it because of the size.
I have complained about it via e-mail. I told I have ordered BOY shoes and this pair of Kickers is clearly GIRL. They have sent a wrong item. They asked photos of them and the bar code. I have sent it plus the screenshot of the wanted boots.
After a couple e-mail I have got this answer: "Unfortunately as it states on the website, the style may vary from the image shown.
You have received the correct item."
It means I am the picky. If I don't want these I can send back and pay by myself the postal cost. And after they going to transfer back my money. What can I say?
Never SportsDirect again.

overcharged at store

"Went in for the first time ever, last week. Saw a pair of boots I wanted, reduced to £19. Only plastic but they'll last the winter. Upon inspection, one boot had obviously been worn to the point of scuffs and wear to the heel. When I pointed this out, they said there were no more in my size, these would have to be 'sent back' but they were getting new stock in. So today I did another 16 miles round trip to see if they had more in stock. Spotted the pair that I'd been told was to be 'sent' back, now priced at £15. So I grabbed the box and headed to the till. SPotted a new winter jacket on the way.
At the till, told the girl about spotting the boots that were supposed to be 'sent back' and was pleased to have saved myself £4 as instead of £10, they were now £15, and the £4 saving meant money towards the dog food bill.
Got home, looked at the receipt and she'd charged me £19!
Despite me actually pointing to the reduced price sticker and mentioning them having been reduced.
So tomorrow I shall have to waste an hour out of my day and another 16 miles round trip. That's 3 trips out within a week where normally I'd only go into town once a month.
I'd advise people that if the *must* shop there, they need to carefully check their receipt.
As for me, it was the first and last time I'll shop there. They will be getting both boots *and* jacket back in order to recoup some of my diesel costs for a total of 36 wasted miles.

BURNLEY store cleaning standards

"ive just been to collect a number of items that had been delivered to Burnley store, shop assistant very polite and professional and served me perfectly, but whilst walking through the store looking around it was very apparent the store was absolutely filthy with hundreds of stickers and (most disgustingly) chewing gum covering the store floor upstairs and more worrying as a customers first impression the ground floor with all areas covered in dust balls under every fixture.
I then asked to see the manager who came to my assistance and asked him why the store was filthy, to which he just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't think is was filthy,i told him that this was a fact that the store was filthy and he started getting rude and louder as he spoke to me, as a regular customer to sports direct i find his mannerism very offensive and rude, i spend on average per year around £2000 pounds,if this is how sports direct treats its customers then shame on you for not monitoring your cleaning standards.

Beaware of the scamming policy of NO REFUND

"Very annoyed at the scamming policy of no Refund, how can this be even legal? I tried to return item purchased 24 hours earlier with the receipt and was informed of the NO REFUND scamming policy. Name one another high street shop that does this? . Trading standard should enforce a condition that the till operator inform every customer at the time of purchase that they have NO REFUND policy. How many times you actually remember to spend the stupid credit note that gets issued instead of the REFUND?. Can Trading standard get the verification on the status of all the credit notes spendature? "

I should go to the Police and report them for attempted theft

"Absolutely terrible online shopping experience ,4 week wait to have a faulty reebok iRun picked up , endlessly contacting both Reebok and Sports direct to chase up to no avail, Now endlessly chasing up refund . while waiting for a replacement Running machine which was not delivered on day and time expected , Then to have the tracking system say it had been delivered and digitally signed for , Which is a blatant lie , then been told by Sports direct that I would have to take another day of work for re-delivery , Which I can not do for at least a month , So I had to cancel this order and ask for refund , Only to be told that could take weeks to go though, and I am already chasing previous refund which has not gone through . This company should be shut down for bad practices and no customer support , ok the woman on the phone are very apologetic but the service is terrible I mean Cleary none existent . Do not shop at sports direct online I warn you now you will be let down and endlessly failed . Terrible Company Terrible Service , and lying about signature for delivery is fraud !. I should go to the Police and report them for attempted theft ."

They simply don't do NEXT day delivery

"Sports direct once again state you can select your delivery day at a cost. I did this as needed the items. On the selected delivery date they send an email saying my items are ready for collection by the courier? So I emailed and asked does this mean that the courier will collect and deliver today? Nope. They will arrive by Friday!!! This is the 3rd time this has happened so I won't be using them again!!! Stay clear if you expect next day delivery."

worst company ever...

"I wish I had read these reviews before ordering... just like so many others before me it seems... I ordered as a gift... The parcel never arrived... They only answered ONE of my emails asking what happened, simply with a generic tracking number ( which I already had and which showed that the parcel was stuck somewhere.. ) They never answered ANY of my other emails and I had to actually DIG UP the shipping company contact number to get THEM to find out where my parcel was and to confirm that it was never delivered and had been sent back... Sports Direct now is answering neither me NOR the shipping company ... This is disgraceful... I am going to get my credit card to cancel that payment... I have NEVER had such bad online dealings - oh actually, I have, once... with a Chinese SCAM site ... Sports Direct should be ashamed of themselves and should be closed down by the look of things..."
