"Ordered a 32" Toshiba LCD TV from them on 5/5/2009. Called to order and the first question I asked was if the TV was new or a refurbished model. They said it was a NEW TV. They quoted me something like 135.00 for shipping, and then told me if I added an extended warranty they would give me upgraded shipping at no additional cost.

Well, it took them a week to even process and ship the order... and then I check the tracking number and it was shipped via UPS ground. I called to see what happened and was told that UPS ground IS their upgraded shipping. They told me that standard shipping was DHL, and when I told them DHL didn't deliver in the U.S. anymore they told me they meant to say U.S.P.S. I asked to speak with a supervisor because the customer service lady wouldn't do anything for me and she claimed he was out of the office.

Frustrated and unsatisfied I waited for my TV to arrive. It shows up, I open the box, and right on the back of the TV it is burned into the plastic "REFURBISHED"

These guys are scamming liars, and I wouldn't doubt it if the 5 year warranty I paid extra for turned out to be a scam as well.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

"Completely disappointed in the professionalism of this store. After placing my order
AND paying extra money for a shipping tracking # after two weeks and no tv and no tracking information I call them up to find out that the tv I had ordered is on back order and currently unavailable. After speaking with them they did offer to a newer model AT AN ADDITONAL PRICE but they neglected to tell me it was a different size screen! Never will I ever place an order with them again as they have proven untrustworthy and misleading in their sales and show a serious lack of communication with their customers.

"This company is definitely a SCAM and should be shut down. Same story as others - placed order for Sharp 42" LCD TV via internet, received email to call & verify order, asked to purchase extended warranty since SHARP only offers 90 day warranty (not true, it's a year), was told I would receive email information/confirmation, never received. Sent email cancelling order and notified my credit card company of fraud. "

"I called this company to ask a couple of questions regarding the Sony Bravia 52" LCD TV. Spoke to a man (don't remember his name) with a very distinct rough voice. After answering my questions, he quoted me a price of $350 above the internet price. He said that the additional money included shipping (reasonable) and a 5% insurance charge (unreasonable). I quickly got the impression that this was another "bait and switch" company after dealing with another online "retailer" that gave the same type of line. After telling him that I would think about it and hanging up the phone I called back. Got the same person on the line. I called back a 3rd time and again spoke with the same man. Is this some guy doing business out of his garage??? I have since cancelled the order and received the TV from a reputable dealer. The cost was a bit more but MUCH less hassle! Save the time and aggravation and purchase from a retailer with a good reputation. The positive reviews of this site are phony!"

"AVOID THESE MERCHANTS!!!!! There are many statements about this group of companies accepting an order only to require a call-in 'verification' to sell unnecessary items with a higher profit margin as part of the order. If you refuse to buy the garbage, they will 'back order' your item indefinitely. I don't why why this behavior is not illegal in the state of New York, but it should be. We can now add their gaming of froogle.com to the list of offenses. On 3/26/09 their rating here (reseller ratings) is 2.7/10, on froogle it's 4.5/5. How can this be? They appear to have a great many minions."

"This is a SCAM! Website indicated LCD TV was in stock, my order was placed. They called to confirm credit card info and try to sell an extended warranty. When the LCD was not shipped, they said they were out of stock. But their website continued to say the LCD TV was in stock."

"on february 25th i placed an order for a Sharp Aquos LC42D64U 42 inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Shop Digital Online after conferming with them that the product was in stock. on march 4th i contacted them because they had not taken payment and i wanted to know what the status was. the product had not shiped. i spoke to two reps. one said it would ship 24 to 28 from the last date mentioned, the other said a week from now. march 5th (today) i received an email msgs;

"Shop Digital Online is a very dishonest store. After the ship date came and went, I received a e-mail saying that the delivery of a Samsung 50" was delayed 1-2 weeks. Calling them every week thereafter, they told me the same old story,- they would have it in one to two weeks. After about 8 weeks of the same, I finally cancelled the order. Reading other's review after the fact, I see that this has happened to many others. Their advertised price is much lower that the competitiors, but they just will not live up to their advertised prices. So bottom line is: don't waste your time,- shop somerwhere else

"No satisfaction - had to cancel the order. Don't be fooled by the advertised low price - YOUR PROBLEMS HAVE JUST BEGUN! I ordered a new Sharp 42-inch LCD on 12/5/08. First surprise was that the posted total of $918 did not include a $20 discount code - it took a call to customer service to confirm. Next surprise is that the item went on backorder. I would call every 2 weeks and they would say the same thing - "looks like it will be another 1 to 2 weeks". Christmas comes and goes. NCAA football bowl games come and go. Superbowl comes and goes. Why would I need a TV anymore? Called today, they said the order was in however, they needed inform me that it is now reclassified as refurbished (Surprise #3) since they bought it from a company that went out of business and had the TV retested. I took some time to think about whether I wanted to proceed eventhough I started to get that rotten feeling in my stomach - like I'm being duped. I called back to proceed with the deal. During the re-total (Surprise #4) they informed me they needed to add 7% mandatory insurance. I asked why this was not on the published confirmation of the order which included the pricing? Sensing my angst Henry offered to upgrade my shipping (thereby assuring I have it within two and one-half months of my original purchase date) and upgrade the 2 ft HDMI cable to a 6 ft HDMI cable. I was sure the original enticement was a 6 ft cable but could not prove it (Surprise #5). I finally cancelled the order - enough is enough. I feel lucky to get out of the deal without losing money!"

"This company is using a form of bait & switch tactics (at least for Plasma TV's). They offer low prices (should be your first hint of trouble) but then they try to get you to agree to various overpriced addons. If you don't agree, your order gets put on backorder. They added an additional $120 for "insurance" after I had already checked out (something not mentioned when checking out). I finally canceled the order and bought it on Amazon for $100 less and free shipping.

"DISHONEST, RUDE, UNSYMPATHETIC

I ordered a Panasonic 46" Plasma HDTV (without an extended warranty) by phone. I explained that it was a birthday present and NEEDED it to arrive by a certain date. I was assured by Elliot that it was in stock and would arrive on time.

Several days passed and I received no confirmation email (though I had the order number) and the charge never posted to my credit card. I called and was again assured that the unit would arrive on time. Two more days went by and the status of my order still showed "confirmed" and the charge still had not posted. I called AGAIN and was told by a very obnoxious female that they were in fact out of stock and that the unit wouldn't ship until the following week.

I expressed my frustration and demanded a discount on the shipping as the shipping method I'd agreed to could not be honored. The extremely rude female offered to reduce my shipping rate to Ground, but that doing so would delay delivery even further. I asked to speak to her manager and she put me on indefinite hold. Eventually, I hung up and called back. Elliot answered immediately. I cancelled my order and received an email reflecting the cancellation within a minute.

I concur with other posters in that this company provides shady service (if at all) when customers decline to purchase their extended warranty packages. I will not be enticed by their low prices again.

"WATCH OUT!
I ordered a 46" Toshiba LCD Regza tv for ~$75 less than other reputable online dealers. My order went through and the website SAID it was "in stock" but after 3 phone calls "confirming" my order (basically confirming that I DIDN'T want the "warranty upgrade" for an extra $200) and getting a delivery confirmation that said I'd receive it in 7-10 days, I received an email a few days later saying that it was "backordered" and that it would be an extra 2 weeks for delivery, if at all!
These guys are very shady and I am filing a complaint with the NY Better Business Bureau for deceptive marketing practices.
Admittedly, I haven't lost any money (and I presume/hope my credit card number is secure) but these guys are definitely shady.

"Read about their shipping insurance before you purchase anything from this company, or you will be mislead as we were!!!!
On Monday December 29th, 2008 I went onto Shop Digital Online to purchase a 58" Panasonic Plasma TV for $2,365.00, with shipping the price came out to be $2,594.00. We felt that the price was the cheapest online that we could find. On Tuesday December 30, 2008 I read my email and was asked to contact this company. When I spoke with their customer service representative, he wanted to sell me the warranty for $500.00 which I denied, he then stated that he would cut the cost for (3) years down to $300.00. When I advised him that I just wanted him to ship the TV set to me, he told me that my price was $2,793.00. This was a difference of $199.00. When I advised this representative of the price that I had consented to, and that I had a copy of the order in front of me, he advised me that there is a charge of 6 1/2% charge added to the bill automatically for shipping Insurance. I asked him where did it show that on my paperwork and he stated "it is everywhere". It wasn't anywhere on the paperwork that I had printed out!! When I asked to speak to a manager this representative told me that he didn't know his name and then hung up on me. I called back and cancelled this order. Please don't be fooled by this company's lower prices!! This added charge will not show up until you contact them as I did.
