"I purchased a pair of sunglasses that appeared to be in stock. Then I received an email after I ordered saying my sunglasses were back ordered. I was dissapointed because I wanted them for my vacation but realized that these things happen. My sunglasses arrived around 2 weeks later the day after I left for vacation. I returned home and was not happy with the sunglasses. I remembered the company having a good return policy when I ordered so I went online to request a return of the sunglasses. I realized that since they arrived while I was out of town I was now at 9 days since the date of receipt and they only have a 7 day return policy. I emailed explaininig the circumstances with the backorder etc asking if there was anything they could do for me. It has been over a week and I have not received any communication from them. Not even an email to say "no we are sorry- tough luck"... just no response at all. Poor customer service! I would not recommend this company. "

"My RayBan frames arrived precisely as advertised, complete with carry case and all factory accessories. Outer carton was sized to fit even the smallest Post Office box -- perfect for after-hours pick-up, which was a huge help to me since I missed the postman's initial attempt.

Order was placed late on Friday, 13 July. I received shipping confirmation on the evening of Wed., 18 July; tracking number was in USPS system by the next day. Took delivery on Monday, 23 July...that's a total of 6 work-days (or 10 days, if you count weekends).

If I might offer one -- very small -- complaint: I suggest that 'ShopByUs' should provide an estimated shipping date in their order-confirmation email. Fairly or not, customers are by nature impatient. No sense making us twiddle our thumbs until the order is actually shipped.

Again, that's just a quibble...it's worth a few days wait to save $100 on new frames. Overall, I am very pleased with this transaction! I will definitely come back to 'ShopByUs.com', next time we need eyeglasses. And I will happily recommend their service to my friends.

"Let me tell you 'bout a story 'bout a man named Aron. He is someone at the top of ShopByUs, possibly the owner. I have purchased 4 pairs of sunglasses from this company over the past few years and they have been genuine, have arrived in very reasonable time, and are also the best price for the product that you can find on the web. With those good things said, I will never, ever do business with this company again. To make a long story short, their customer service/returns policy caused me to eat a a $120 pair of sunglasses that I wanted to return for an exchange. I then placed a scathing review here. Funny, but a few days later I got a call from Aron Ekstein of ShopByUs apologizing for his customer service person and saying that my review was hurting his business. He asked what he could do. I had already given the sunglasses that I wanted to return to someone so there was no way to finally return them. Instead, Aron offered me a %15 discount on my next purchase in exchange for me to change the bad review to a good one. I did. He sent me an email saying that on my next purchase to contact him directly and he would give me the %15 discount. Well, a year later (I mean, how often do you buy glasses?), I decided to take him up on his discount. After 5 phone calls attempting to reach him ("Aron's time is very important to him, he is not available")and a series of emails that have not been responded to, I have given up on my quest for my %15 discount. So instead I am taking to the internet and trying to find every place possible to let the general buyer know that this firm is decrepit to its core. This firm is the embodiment of "buyer beware"."

"I'm very disappointed with the service I received from the calls for support from the customer service and the operator. I had received the wrong package for my order (I have received a Versace sunglasses for another lady, with her address on. I guess she also didn't receive her sunglasses) and its not even my fault. Yet I still have to make so many calls to get support for it. I asked for a shipping label as its not an exchange that I'm looking for, but I'm asking to exchange for the sunglasses which I have ordered. The customer support told me that he will send me the shipping label, but I didn't receive it. The phone calls are only answered in the morning and I called several times in the afternoon but there's no answer though its working hours. Today I called the operator because I did not receive the shipping label I asked for the previous time and he said there's no other way he can help me as David's in the hospital. I understand that he's in the hospital and I'm sorry to hear that. But can't the operator resend me the shipping label or send me another shipping label. After repeating he can't help me for a few times, he just hung up my phone. I had been shopping online for several times and this is my worst online shopping experience ever."

"Good pair of glasses. It arrived after a week though. At first when i bought it, i thought it was made in italy but infact it was made in china. and i am not happy about it. i know some ray ban models are made in china. and i hope they have not compromised with the quality. but i would have liked if it was made in italy."
