"I bought a Neptune Apex (and a couple of accessories for it) from Salty Supply just after Black Friday, which the website said was in stock. However, I got a call later saying that they weren't in stock and that the website was incorrect. It wouldn't be in stock until the next week, but they would ship it out immediately thereafter. This same conversation happened a couple of times, and I didn't actually get the Apex until yesterday (1/2/14). This was an inconvenience to me, because it has delayed my aquarium by almost a month, and I had to constantly email to get updates (although they were quick about responding). The other issue I had was that I got the distinct feeling they wanted me to cancel the order (since Neptune products rarely go on sale). I was asked multiple times if I wanted to cancel, which would have forced me to buy the item from another retailer at significantly more cost. Overall, the experience was average, if not a little below. "

"You guys are not going to like this as EVERYTHING I ordered was not stocked by you and had to be shipped from somewhere else...that is CRAP. I chose your website as you said you had it not that you would have to have the manufacture send it to me...and that it would take till after Christmas to get it....POOR....your competition had it in stock and shipped it with no hassles....you guys called me but, didn't offer me any kind of perk for having to wait and or ordering it from somewhere else.....POOP...get it together guys....PS you might want to put BACK on your website that this stuff does not ship from you.

Followup on Review....They called and we discussed their dropping the ball with my order. Guess you can say it was one of them all the stars or coal aligned for me with this order. They were receptive to my comments...even as Harsh as they were and agreed that they will work on the things I pointed out. I agreed I would try another order with them and then review that order.
Take what you will from this review but, I would not base my entire visit to their site based on my experience. Many others have had a wonderful experience...I did not .... I hope to have a different experience next time. Again thanks Salty for calling me and working with me on this disaster of an order...I give them HIGH PROPS for calling me and discussing this review and listening to what I had to say...A+++++"
