I bought a Neptune Apex (and a couple of accessories for it) from Salty Supply just after Black Friday, which the website said was in stock. However, I got a call later saying that they weren't in stock and that the website was incorrect. It wouldn't be in stock until the next week, but they would ship it out immediately thereafter. This same conversation happened a couple of times, and I didn't actually get the Apex until yesterday (1/2/14). This was an inconvenience to me, because it has delayed my aquarium by almost a month, and I had to constantly email to get updates (although they were quick about responding). The other issue I had was that I got the distinct feeling they wanted me to cancel the order (since Neptune products rarely go on sale). I was asked multiple times if I wanted to cancel, which would have forced me to buy the item from another retailer at significantly more cost. Overall, the experience was average, if not a little below.

1800PetMeds has one thing going for them: price. Unfortunately, after attempts on three different prescriptions, I can't ever seem to get them to ship the item. The latest is a prescription for Soloxine. It's been around two weeks since I ordered. At first it was a back and forth between the vet and 1800petmeds to get the prescription. That didn't work, so I got the vet to write me a script which I then scanned and emailed to them. Apparently the customer service team doesn't enter my information or status into the system, as I've received the same canned email response multiple times. Every time, it indicates that my vet needs to approve something, or release information, but they already have the script and my vet has no idea what they're talking about. I really congratulate those of you who can actually buy anything from this store, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone (even considering the 50-75% discount when compared to vet pharmacies).

Do not use them, it's not worth the time and effort.

As a licensed pharmacy, we are unable to dispense prescription medications without an authorization from your veterinarian. We can accept an authorization from your vet by telephone or fax, or if your vet prefers not to authorize by telephone or fax, we can accept your vet's original written prescription that you mail to us. Our pharmacy department checked again on your order; while we did receive a response from your vet on 6/11/13, it was not an approval for the prescription. If you'd like, we would be more than happy to contact your vet again.

Ordered a DSC-P100 from the site on October 3rd, 2004. Called the next day to "expedite" the order. After getting the "you need the accessories" pitch, I still declined and was told it would ship in 21 days. None of my email was ever answered. 22 days later I received an email stating my order was cancelled. Calling about the order, they flat out lied to me and told me that I had called and cancelled the order.

Well, I should have left it at that and ordered from someplace more reputable. But being tempted like an idiot by the low price, I gave in to the accessory package. This raised the price of the camera over $100, but supposedly included an extra battery (in addition to the included battery), a case, a cleaning kit, and lcd screen protectors.

Surprise, surprise, the camera arrived 5 days later, but the supposed extra battery was missing.

I buy probably 90% of my major purchases on the internet, and this is the worse experience ever. It's ten times worse than the run arounds you sometimes get on ebay. I can't even consider this a 'business'. It's a scam. I'm filing a formal report to the BBB of NY.
