Price should always be $99

"Great experience overall, and I would’ve kept the subscription if it were always $99 instead of $160. Cancellation was easy, but I still had some pieces in transit that I wanted to wear. But I was told I had to return everything by the 5th which was the end of my billing cycle. Since it took 7 days for me to get my first shipment after I confirmed it, I think they should allow a week’s grace period before they charge a fee after your cancellation date. In all, I received 11 peices for the $99, and 2 were unwearable. That will never be worth $160 to me. Love the company and the concept, and the ease of everything on the app and website. I’ll probably buy another month in the winter to check out the selection then. They don’t have a lot of summer workwear options for the Texas heat. "

High Hopes but in reality....

"I had high hopes for being an Unlimited Rent The Runway client. I really like the idea and concept however it seems there are still a lot of kinks and logistic issues the company needs to work out before they can give a five star experience to clients. My frustrations came from items that showed "available" I would pick for my shipment and then after waiting a day or two for it to ship I would get a notice (sometimes a text and sometimes an email I would have to happen to see) saying "an item you picked is not available" pick something else so we can ship your order. I would pick and then it would take another day or two for my shipment to go. Besides the frustration of available items not actually being available the slow processing time to get the shipments out to me are very frustrating. Paying the hefty fee for the monthly unlimited plan only makes sense if there is a quick turnaround so you can have a healthy volume of new clothes to wear each month. I had the service for 3 months but have now canceled because each shipment would have some type of negative experience. Majority of clothes once received where in good shape but two items received were damaged and unwearable."

Not Helpful

"I forgot to enter my birthday code when I made my order. I asked the RTR chat person to refund me the difference. They said no...that was it. Not impressed, I spend a lot of money renting dresses that I have been lately just googling and buying used. I found that rtr dresses are usually last seasons surplus and I can find them and own them for the same price or cheaper on ebay/amazon. I will be telling my friends to do the same."

Frustrating experience.

"I signed up for the RTR Unlimited service hoping that I would be able to save time and money. But a few weeks in, I am pretty dissatisfied with what I've tried on (the choices, sizes, looks) and feel I have spent a lot of time on the app and money on the subscription, with very little payoff. It would help if it were shaped into a more focused, helpful experience to replace the in-person shopping experience, which is what I was trying to avoid, but may have to resort to for the occasions I have coming up. RTR Unlimited probably works for some, but for particular people like me, it's been frustrating."

Not receiving service paying for

" I am an unlimited member for rent runway and paying a premium price for service that is unacceptable and that i am not receiving. Almost every order I place there is some sort of issue. I have had order after order sent to me with damaged clothing, over worn clothing, stained clothing, wrong items, delivery problems in errors, inventory malfunction. Sizing is inconsistent and we should be allotted back up sizes without it taking up one of your 4 allotted items. I have sent email after email to customer service and tried online chatting but no one was ever available. I would not recommend this to anyone. Customer service has not sent me or overnighted items even when requested because of their errors, nor will they comp months of payment due to their own errors and issues. They are not helping resolve their problems!! I will be discontinuing my membership"

Great customer service

"Had a great experience with customer service after winter storm delayed my delivery. They stayed on the phone with me for an hour to help me choose new styles to have shipped to my hotel overnight at no extra charge. Will definitely use RTR again! Their dresses are so classy and dry cleaned perfectly so they look like new! "

So many compliments!

"Pros: Never buy a dress again! The dresses are great quality, the service is painless, and the extra backup size gives you peace of mind. Now I wear a different fabulous dress to every occasion on my calendar without breaking the bank. Always get many compliments.

Cons: non-transparent billing. If your order requires expedited shipping to arrive in time, you have to pay an extra $25 even if you have PRO (where shipping should be free). However, this is never explicitly shown anywhere so the bill can be really confusing.
One time my dress arrived dirty. Luckily I was able to wear the backup size, but this makes me nervous for future rentals.

Love this service, but

"Using RTR unlimited for a year was a great experience, especially a year where I went to a lot of weddings and got married myself. It helped me understand my own style a lot more. I do wish that there was more of my kind of style: more athleisure, more streetwear than just cute/sexy officewear and going out dresses. It ends up feeling more designed for sorority sisters than it does for, say, creative professionals. I also ended up spending a lot of time going to the store and returning/shopping for clothes because the delivery service always took 2-3 days to process. I will always RTR for special occasions but I would go back to Unlimited if the style selection got wider and more to my taste, and if there was a way to streamline/speed-up the delivery system. I'm sure it's already difficult to get it running as fast as it does, but I have to be honest about what would make me pay for that service. "

Rent The Runway Update Is Interesting

"I have used Rent the Runway Reserve and I one month into my Rent the Runway Update subscription. I love the concept. It feels great not to be adding more throw-away clothes to the world. And I can wear trendy and very chic clothes without the big investment. It is also a good option for me since I am losing weight and I want to be able to wear clothes that fit without investing in a new wardrobe every few months."

Shipping takes forever, clothes are good quality but some pieces are missing

"I was very excited to start Rent the Runway, but I have noticed that shipping takes forever! It is at least a full week from when you send the clothes back until you receive another. So really you can only get 2 shipments per month.

The clothes are great quality, but some of the things need better quality control. Lots of the pieces I received had loose buttons, and missing belts. To pay $150 per month, my expectation is that the quality of each piece would be closely monitored.
