"I placed an order for an item that was $20 less than purchasing it at a retailer here in town, plus free shipping. Everything was great until FedEx said the package was delivered and left on my door. Well it was not there when I got home, and after contacting FedEx who contacted the driver, he described a home that was obviously not mine. So they have determined that it is lost. Well I write RedOctane on 12/6, 12/7, 12/8, 12/9 with NO RESPONSE, and I have called their number ***-***-****, and all it says is there is no one available to take my call, and to submit an email online. I am going to dispute the charge with my CC company and never do business with them again, since they cannot even extend a courtesy to contact me back. I have since purchased a similar item ( 1 less game unfortunately ) for the $20 more, to have the item in time for a birthday. It's too bad this did not turn out to be such a great deal."

"I purchased the $200 GH:WT bundle on Oct. 19th and i have had a great time with it until recently when the foot pedal started cutting out on me during songs. i have tried everything to get it to work all the time but i havent had any luck. Over the last 2 weeks i have tried contacting Red Octane support to get a replacement foot pedal and i have yet to get a response. i plan on returning my purchase and getting my money back if i dont hear from them soon. the experience with the site and customer service has been horrible."

"I like other reviewers here purchased the $200 Guitar Hero World Tour special edition to discover I had a faulty drumset. I patiently waited for the "drum tuning kit" to test if sensitivity was indeed the issue (as they claimed). It was not, so I received an RMA and mailed my drumset back. It cost me $15.50, and I have not only heard no response back since it was delivered, but the RMA "does not exist" according to the site. This whole experience has been very horrible. I will never purchase another Red Octane product for as long as I live. If you have read this far, forget Guitar Hero. Stick to Rock Band 2 for not only a superior product (as proven by reviews), but also VASTLY better customer service."

"I purchased Guitar Hero World Tour with the excitement of getting to finally play drums in my favorite music game franchise. I bought the whole set for almost $200 and took the set home to begin playing on it and experienced issues out of the box.

For starters, the cymbals are very loose and tightening them does no good at all. The pads are all very unresponsive and tuning them doesn't help at all.

The main problem I have occurred a few days ago. My red drum pad completely died and won't respond to any hits-hard or soft. I contacted RedOctane online and got and RMA number and to my dismay they are MAKING me pay for shipping both ways. Why should a customer have to pay for shipping both ways when the game is less than a month old and hardly played?

Calling RedOctane is useless. I have tried every phone option and every number I could find during their hours of operation, but nothing works.

For those who purchased their game from GameStop, returning it to the store will be a waste of time because they are sending all returns direct to RedOctane.

I am only asking for what is fair, and that is for RedOctane to accept responsibility and send me a working drumset. For now I have no choice but to file a dispute with my bank and contact the Better Business Bureau.

"My overall shopping experience at RedOctane.com was exceptional. They offered the best prices on what is sure to be one of the hottest gifts (i.e. Guitar Hero bundles) this holiday season. Also, they included standard shipping for free and their communication was impressive, as well. "Terrible customer service. I have left at least 15 messages and have not heard back from any one regarding the status of my return. Guitar Hero World Tour was purchased through GameStop and I had to return it the next day because the drum kit was broken out of the box. Not only did this game cost $200, but I had to spent $50 to return the drum kit. This is unacceptable. I have been waiting nearly a month to find the status of my warranty coverage and have not heard anything. If this continues, I will have no choice but to commence a small claims court action to recover the monies that I have spent on this game that, in my opinion, is worthless without the drum kit."

"It was horrible. I filled out a RMA to exchange a product that was order for the wrong game system, which was fine my fault because I didn't double check the order form despite knowing I searched by Wii system first. Then I got the item exchanged only to get the same item again. It's been over a month and no guitar hero that works for the game system I requested. I can't get them on the phone or leave a message despite trying to contact daily at different hours. I contacted corporate and got a phone call back but no response since. They told me to call back, but I can't get through to get an actual person or even leave a message. The response isn't quick or efficient. I just want this online experience to be over! I want my money back, but now am having trouble getting anyone to get back to me or over the phone. I have a game for a system I can't use. It's costing me more money everytime to send it back. THis is the worst purchasing experience I ever had. Redoctane is very poor with customer service."

"So I pre-ordered Guitar Hero: World Tour Band Bundle for the Xbox 360, I received the Wii version. I have been trying to contact Red Octane by phone and e-mail for almost a month and I have only been ignored. Red Octane has never answered their customer support phone line and every e-mail I sent was never responded to. I cannot contact anyone and I am very upset with the experience with Red Octane."

"FANTASTIC! Honestly, the xbox guitar hero world tour is impossible to get at any retail store...but I have it right here in my home, ready to wrap and give to my 11 year old son! It was so amazingly easy to order, pay, and receive. I didn't have to speak to anyone, answer emails, no mess or hassle. I did receive an email from UPS to give me tracking details, delivery date and time. It was perfect...no problems. thank you red octane...I will use you guys again."
