"RedOctane SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I placed an order approximately two weeks ago. I received the automated order invoice in my email and that's the last I've heard from them. The order shows closed now, i'm assuming they cancelled the order however the charge is still pending on my credit card. No one answers their customer service number and no one responds to customer service emails. I will never buy another redoctane product. I had previously purchased guitar hero aerosmith bundle at Bestbuy, and they suggested buying a bestbuy warranty on the guitar because redoctane doesn't warrant it, what kind of crap is that? I need to start a manufacturing company if it's ok to sell new products AS-IS."

"I purchased a set of two DDR dance pads from the RedOctane website as a present for my youngest son a couple months ago. They arrived quickly and all seemed well for about two or three days. After that, we noticed that one pad had an issue where, rather regularly, hitting the back of left button would cause the game to think both the back and left button had been pressed. As a novice, this didn’t seem to be an issue for me, but watching my son play and looking at the explanations online makes it obvious that this makes the game impossible to play at any higher level. I tried contacting RedOctane by phone several times a day for several days, trying to get my issue resolved, yet was totally unsuccessful in being able to talk to a human being. After this, I attempted emailing and was told I would be able to talk to a supervisor if I provided a phone number for them to call. I waited a full week to be contacted by phone concerning the details of this return (I was most bothered by the fact that, though the product shipped to me was defective, I was the one who had to pay shipping back to the warehouse) until I finally gave up and sent the pad back for repair. I was extremely disappointed by this experience and I find it difficult to believe that a company would treat their customers in such a fashion."

"I should have listened to all of the negative reviews I saw before ordering. I placed an order, paid with paypal and have not heard anything since. Whats strange is, paypal sen the money and they list the payment as unclaimed, but red octane shows my account as "waiting for paypal authorization. I contacted paypal, there is nothing to authorize, red octane is just letting my payment hang. They dont answer the phone or emails, nice way to do business. If this is how you operate I will be sure to spread the word after I get my money back. Thanks for potentially ruining christmas red octane."

"This was my third time buying from Redoctane. I am very pleased this time. Everything went great.
While I did have a problem with a earlier order( part of order left out)and(no live customer support). If you do have a problem I found that if you do a little research on the company on the internet you will find they fulfill their orders through a company in Austell GA. They were very helpful and solved my problem instantly. I will continue to use Redoctane. They have great deals.

"NEVER PURCHASE FROM REDOCTANE! I was a big fan of the Guitar Hero franchise, but I will never purchase another Redoctane game. Their customer service is the worst of I've ever dealt with, and for all purposes, non-existent. I have called about 40 times over the last 5 days and have gotten the same BS message, that no one can answer your call. I have sent numerous emails and inquiries through their site, but have received NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE concerning my order and its status.

DO NOT BY FROM REDOCTANE OR ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

"Broken drumset out of box. Gamestop wouldn't take it back. Sent it back a 3 days after I got it a month ago. Requested RMA and everything, cost $50+ (even with a 'pity' discount from the mailplace) to send the huge drumset back. IT's been saying that my request is "in process" for 3 weeks. Worse service ever. Can't get anyone on the phone. I want a refund of the $50+ it cost to ship their POS drums back plus a refund for the entire game. In all over $250 for this game that doesn't even work. I will definitely file a complaint with the BBB after Christmas unless I get my drums back. Anyone else having the same problem? "I ordered item K0179 GH3 XBOX Wired Bundle 1 Dec 08. I recieved item 95137 GH3 Wired Controller without the GH3 game. I have called them several times daily only to hear there is never anyone available to take my call. There is no option to leave a message. They recommend filling out a support claim for faster service. I have filed 2 support claims, neither of which have been addressed by Redoctane. All I am looking for is an acknowledgement of my problem and when I should expect resolution. Ignoring me is unacceptable customer service.

Update 30 Dec 08: Filed with CC and BBB on 15 Dec. Finally heard from Redoctane on 16 Dec. They immediately sent out a copy of GH3 that I received on 19 Dec. It was the wrong copy and I informed them. This time I heard back after 2 business days and they immediately sent out the correct copy that I received on 27 Dec.

Update 6 Jan 09: Received a return label from Redoctane for wrong game they sent.

"I ordered two different Guitar Hero packages from Red Octane for the Xbox two weeks ago. They shipped me versions for the Wii despite the receipt saying Xbox 360 on it so I obviously can't use the packages. As others have said, their customer service is a nightmare. It has been 3 days now and they haven't even acknowledged the e-mail. There is no one to answer the phones as they just roll it to voicemail saying to contact them on their website. Their customer service [if it even exists] is terrible."
