"One of the most dissapointing experiences I have ever had buying from the internet. Not only was the shipping cost outrageous(14.95 for a AMD 1700!) But the chip was defective, I had to pay to ship it back and that was five weeks ago and still no replacement!! They do not return emails, they do not return calls, they are without a doubt the worst company on the internet today. I cannot say enough negative comments about them, they are the worst!!!!!"

"Ordered a new motherboard via their web page on a Friday. The following Monday, they charge my card, then they try to charge again, and again, and again, and again. After a few brief emails with one of their sales team, they stopped responding. Needless to say, I've cancelled my order, and will NEVER do business with them again."

"Ordered a Gforce4 card that never seemed to be in. I would call and they would say they got a shipment in of like 2, when I was number 19 on the list. This went on for two days so I cancelled my order. Plus I could not be sure of the exact item I was ordering they could give no more information then what was listed on the web site. Poor product descriptions, so I went back to a company I trust and could have the product a whole lot quicker from."

" I ordered a Soyo Fire Dragon motherboard, P4 2GHz CPU, and 60GB hard drive on (sunday) May 19. Card charged immediately (May 20). $24 shipping for the cheapest option! (Ouch!)
Online order status remained blank after several days. Called May 22, told CPU was backordered, would arrive Friday. Online order status still blank.
Sent email Tuesday, May 28 with "Either ship the order today or cancel it." Received response (with a non-working reply-to address) that the CPU was indefinately backordered.
Replied to the general email address to remove the CPU and ship the order. Online status finally becomes 'received order'. Not bad, admitting they received the order 8 days after charging my credit card. But, nothing beyond 'received order'.
Emailed morning of May 29, asking that the order be cancelled if it has not shipped, repeating my previous request. Got email stating order had been cancelled, as the motherboard was *also* indefinately out of stock.
AAARG! I only wanted the MB and CPU, I ordered the HD for the heck of it. They had neither. They charged me immediately and strung me along for a week and a half.
Now I'm watching my online credit card statements to see if/when that refund comes through. I'm giving it 2 days.
I *reallly* wish I would have found ResellerRatings.com 2 weeks ago. Now I see that they are finally listed on Pricegrabber - advertising the motherboard they couldn't ship me. This ad appeared *after* I ordered from them. Crooked stuff. I'm headed over there shortly to recap my lousy experience.
To recap:
* Credit card charged immediately
* Did not have the primary items in stock
* Did not know when they would have these items
* Made no attempt to let me know that the order was idling - note that your 'account ID' with this place is your email address
* Hidden charges: $24 for the 'cheapest' shipping from Maryland to Indiana.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
(update: refund was posted fully to my card on the day the order was cancelled, so at least that went well.)

"Qbit has both good and bad qualities. Quality products, EXCESSIVE SHIPPING COSTS!!! They want like $30 to ship two sticks of RAM, saying it weights 10 pounds!! IT WEIGHS LESS THAN 1/2 POUND!! Shipping is a total rip off, and ends up costing more overall than just to go to Newegg.com for a few bucks more. When I returned defective MB I bought, they did return my money, and were very nice about it. Only problem is that they kept charging me $160 because the book keeper couldn’t realize that I returned both the defective board and the replacement and exchanged them for RAM. Overall, I overpaid for everything. Don’t let yourself do the same mistakes I did. BE CAREFUL FOR SHIPPING COSTS!!!"

"I sent motherboard to this company on an RMA. The motherboard was DOA. When I got the Motherboard back, I recieved a not stating that the motherboard was NOT defective. When I re-installled the motherboard, it was STILL DOA. Their prices are good, but if you have a problem, you own the problem and they won't settle up.
NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WON'T EVEN GET KISSED.

"Had tried to purchase a new p4 mobo (MSI 6391-080) from newegg and ending up with a deefective one that resulted in them being out of stock for the rma. Decided to eat the few dollars difference and went ahead and bought from qbit as they are local (or as local as a 75 min drive around the dc-beltway can be) to insure that the box would be working when i brought it back. Was working fine in the store ... worked fine when i got it back ... went down HARD when i tried to place the sys in standby. Once i eliminated some of the more obvious issues i endeed up calling them with the intention of needing it swapped but they suggested to bring it by and have them look at it. They checkeed a few additional things to deetermine why this "odd" event was happening (power was on but pressing the switch did nothing, not even spin drives/fans). They stripped it down to just the memory i had needed to purchase from them (this mobo didnt agree with the hi-dens mem i was previously using) and then built it all the way back up as it started working again. We still arent sure what happened (standby-quirkiness being the only remaining culprit) but the sys is back to being able to power & start up. Thanks"

"Ordered Pioneer DVD-RW (DVR-A04), and my credit card was immediately charged on the next business day. After 9 days, I didn't receive anything, and the order status showed "Fully Paid". It's never been shipped. I E-mail and called them for at least 6 times, leave message on answering machines, but no response.

I finally got hold of one of them by phone, and they told me they had difficulty getting the retail version (which is what I ordered), so I decided to cancel the order. (They sounds really impolite...)

Now they still haven't credit me back to my credit card.

Really a very bad experience.

Never buy from QBitPC again.

"Pro: Low prices, fast shipping.
Con: Items shown in stock on web page but not in stock. Poor communication. Does not return e-mail or they keep you on hold forever until you hang up.

Details: Called to check the stock on an MSI 845 Ultra MB. In stock, ordered, delivered in two days. Same day ordered an Intel P4 1.6A. Supposedly in stock. No shipment in 2 days, called and the rep said "Oh, it shipped today." Called two days later and another rep said there was a problem with the order. Couldn't tell me what the problem was so I cancelled the order. No "sorry" or any attempt to help.

Found out a month later the MB was bad (AGP problems). They would not answer the phone or return e-mails about my RMA. I know - their web site says 2 weeks only (from invoice) for RMA. After you receive it that's about 1 week to build, test, and trouble shoot if there is a problem. Totally unacceptable for a vendor. I'll never buy from them again. BTW - MSI will RMA the board (repair only). Time: 3-4 weeks.

"Ordered 2 MSI motherboards and 2 MSI Geforce 3 cards. Best prices I could find anywhere on those items. Order arrived very quickly. Had a problem with 1 of the video cards and sent it back. Took a while to get the replacement card since their policy is to wait until the manufacturer replaces it for them. Can't say it is qbit's fault since this is clearly stated on their web site but didn't enjoy waiting 4 weeks for the replacement. Customer service was very nice and handled the RMA well. They even let me swap my RMA item for a different card as replacement that had the same value. Overall very good service and would definetly buy from them again. If you order from them though, you might consider the $10 replacement insurance they have where they will replace the defective item immediately rather than waiting for the manufacturer."

"This is the weirdest place I have ever bought from! And also the best!! I got a Retail Athlon XP 2100 and it was cheaper than the OEM that they had on the same page! The shipping charges were outragious but I could deal with it because it arived extremely quick. I have yet to reseave my motherboard from aciontech.com so I have yet to see if it is DOA or not. I will definatly give follow up if it is. But thus far this is a great place to deal with. As a seasoned eBayer I would have to give a 8/10 for this site."
