"I ordered $1630.00 worth of parts on 1/08/03 ... on 1/10/03 the money came out of my bank acct.... but the parts were NOT shipped... several phone calls later and a week later the parts are now just being shipped... I wish I had checked this site first for their rating before buying from them... NEVER will I buy from them again and will warn anyone wishing to do so."

"I ordered an AMD Athlon XP 2100+ from QBitPC, and had a positive experience with them. Their price was quite good, and the item shipped quickly and without incident. Judging from the rest of these ratings though, I feel lucky. I will not have need to deal with their returns department as I bought a retail CPU, so I have a full manufacturer's warranty."

"Purchased a motherboard from QbitPC for a system upgrade. It died after about three months (no overclocking or anything). I sent it back to them for a warranty replacement. They mailed it back to me (after about 2 weeks) saying they required the original box, manuals, and all other contents to be included for an RMA. Of course I didn't have all of this stuff so I called them to ask and see if it was necessary for a WARRANTY exchange. Their reply was that I had to have everything or they won't exchange it. Never will I buy from them again."

"I should really be writing 3 reviews because i unfortunately got my brother and brother-in-law to accidently buy from them. They advertised one video card and shipped another. I then called up and they acknoledged they advertised the wrong card and corrected it on the website but gave me no discount. I then asked for the one advertised and it was just a hassle. Also the infamous KEN that works there failed to credit me like 5 times I called. My brother and bro-in-law ordered cards from them too, mostly cuz of the price (before I got mine). they too had bad experiences, with one finding the card not shipped when told it was shipped and he ended up buying a 4400 instead (paying $50 more than originally intended). Overall, find someone else to buy from."

"I have yet to receive my package and I am writing this review now. I has been 3 days (stated on their website) and I still do not have a shipping confirmation number nor a response from them via email. I was expecting to get the order quickly delivered since i life only a state away. Nowadays there are many many online sellers that have the same products with aprx the same amount in cost. Qbitpc has failed to prove to me that they rank high amoung them solely due to the important factor of shipping order speed (meaning the time it takes for them to ship the item(s)) and lack of updates."

"I have been buying computer parts online for 2 years now, and I use this site in conjunction with pricewatch.com to find the best resellers with the best price.

I recently purchased a mobo from another company, who had the lowest price on pricewatch.com and a decent rating here. Needless to say I got screwed.

QBitPC was my second option as they were the only other reseller out of my state so I would not have to pay tax.

I checked their rating here and was almost deterred, but I thought "what the heck?" and gave it a shot.

I called in my order about 10am on Tuesday the 10th. I spoke to a employee named Brad who was incredibly helpful in taking my order. I needed this mobo by Thursday, two days later, and Brad gave me 2nd day delivery from their east coast shop to me in San Diego, CA for a very reasonable rate.

He told me that in a few hours to go to their order status page, and my tracking number would show up there. It was there a few hours later. My motherboard arrived today as promised with matching serials and sealed box.

I WILL do business again with QBitPC. I really dont understand why they have such a bad rating on here. Maybe its the fact that they take back returns and most other online places dont, or with a hefty fee.

When you return something it has to go back to the manufacturer, and they are the ones who take over a month to process it, not the reseller.

Anyway, just thought I would post what I thought of this wonderful company. I called back and spoke to Sean to tell him what I thought and he was more than pleased to hear it.

"I had ordered from this company before back in March of 2002. And had a good experience (No I don't work for the company). The motherboard, processor, and RAM are ALL currently working, and I've had no problems with any of the hardware.

I placed an order for a hard drive on 9/3/2002 at night and didn't expect the order to be processed till morning. On 9/4/2002 I received an email from a Shawn Cronk explaining that the drive I ordered was out of stock and to select another one which I did. After a confirmation a little over an hour later, I began to wait.

I didn't relialize untill after rereading the email it takes them 3 days to process an order which I needed the drive as a replacement by Friday. I began the process to cancel the order since I had 3 day shipping (exepected it on Friday, hence the 3 day shipping), it had not shipped even on Friday and I had recieved no information on the status of the order.

I called my credit card company and told them I *might* need to start the process of disputing the order, which they told me that I had to wait for my next statement to come in and it would take about 6 weeks for that to process. I then went to QBitPC's website and used their cancel order link which just opened a blank email for me to fill out. Gave the order number and explained why I was canceling and that I had contacted my credit card company about it. Never heard a conformation from QBit on that.

On 9/11/2002 there has been a credit back to my credit card for the ammount of the order. So it's all good.

I really think this company needs to work on their customer service/confirm emails in regards to certain aspects of the order. I never recieved any rude treatment from any of the employees because I never actually talked to them when I called, always got voice mail which I'd rather like to speak to a live human being personally.

The 3 day order thing before they ship sucks. However when I did order from them before I had the time to wait. This time I didn't.

"I never meant to order an MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 from Qbit, but when I was trying to get a quote with shipping (I live APO/FPO so I need to see how much I'm getting charged since they always rip you off) but the stupid thing put through an order instead of quoting me a price. Not only that, but it didn't tell me that there would be a $25 surcharge. Well, I did some research on the part that I "accidentally" ordered, and it sounded good, so I decided not to cancel it. BIG mistake. I found out later that there was a $25 surcharge on top of the $7 to ship it, plus that it was on backorder (I didn't find that out until I e-mailed them 2 weeks after my order went through - it wasn't listed on the bloody page). So once it finally shipped, I sat around waiting, only to have to wait over 2 MONTHS! to get it. THe buggers charged me over $30 to ship it and they sent it parcel post through the US Postal Service. That might not seem like too much of an injustice, but if you send parcel post to an FPO address, it goes into a huge cargo container that sits there until it's filled until they ship it. So, I ordered this car in the beginning of June and when I left England for college in late August, it still hadn't gotten there!!!! I didn't spend over $200 dollars to wait until the next gen card was out to get mine. I am totaly dissatisfied and QBit has got to be one of the worst online retailers ont eh web. Want good prices and fast fast service (That also ships APO/FPO)? Go to newegg.com or mwave.com. Much better and faster customer service response times. "

"Worst. Store. EVER. I ordered a motherboard, processor and CPU. After the maximum theoretical shipping time, I called to see what was up. I was told *then* (not until I asked directly) that my video card was on backorder, and should be back in stock soon. Two weeks later, the video card and processor finally arrived, sans motherboard. After countless ignored emails, the website being offline for about a week, no phone answer, I finally got someone to tell me that the motherboard was no longer in production. This was a flat out lie, which I verified with the motherboard company (Asus). After a month and a half, and more missed shipping/arrival dates than I can count, I finally got all of my parts, though I wound up paying an extra 20 bucks for an alternate motherboard."

"Worst experience of my life. Ordered a motherboard and CPU from them. They worked out of the box but the CPU burn in failed and I returned to QbitPC with an RMA #. Did not know this but under their policy after they recieve any defective item they send it to the manufactuer for a replacement and then when they get a replacement they send it to you. In my case I have been without a computer for two months(September now) and I have still yet to get confirmation of RMA received or any information of where my computer is. I will never, ever buy from this company again and plan to flame them for the rest of my life."

"This was the worst online experience I have ever had. This is even worse considering I have ordered countless times from other online computer resellers. From this company, I ordered a motherboard and CPU. The first problem I had with the site was that the parts I ordered were not in stock, even though their site indicated they were. A couple of calls and week and half later I received my motherboard and CPU. Here started the second problem… the motherboard was bad. I called and got a message that the company was closed for restocking. I went to their site and it was down. I am still waiting a month and a half later for my replacement. The company was very rude and implied that it was my fault and that I should have purchased insurance. When I told the salesperson that I had been more then patient with his company and wanted to know what I could do to get a replacement, he said there was nothing I could do except wait. He went on to tell me that he did not care about my business. After telling the guy that this was unacceptable and I would never be purchasing from them again he told me “good”. I think that should tell anyone else all they need to know about even thinking of purchasing something from this company. Go elsewhere. They don't care about your business. They are cutting costs by shipping bad parts with no warranty."

"I ordered a motherboard from this company, and it came and didn't even work. I sent it back for RMA, and it was 2 weeks before I even heard they got it back. Then they charged my Credit Card and after more weeks of waiting, we demanded a full refund for not giving us a new mobo, and they charged me a
%20 restocking fee on an item that didn't work.

These guys have horrible customer service. I tried calling time after time and they kept evading my questions and giving me lies.

Tehy send you back products and when you try to get help, they ignore you and take forever to do anything about your problem.

NEVER order from this company. Go to www.newegg.com .. Newegg is totally woderful awesome, perfect prices, shipping, and service.

Don't even order from this sad, loser, annoying, company that came up with the stupid name of qbitpc. It is a waist of time to even visit their site.
