"Waited 3 days... couldn't wait no longer... so I called them and try to cancel the order.

Ken answered. How rude of him. He doesn't listen what I'm trying to say... He just keeps saying that they didn't do nothing wrong. But I persisted to cancel my order and he said he would and he hung up. No confirmation of canceling my order yet. How rude.... I definitely recommand not to deal anything with them... Their default voicemail is full always... put me on hold without any notice for 10 minutes... Just worse service I ever had... I'm very regretting that I didnot look other's review before I decide to buy from them....

"Ordered a new CPU for a system I'm putting together. Got a confirmation e-mail 7/24/02 that the order would be shipped "within three business days" adn the shipping was "4 - 7 days guaranteed". I ordered many products online that same day from other e-retailers and they all arrived, but not my CPU. I checked the order status page, and much to my surprise the status was still "order received". I e-mailed them and they replied the following day that their new back of CPUs just arrived today. I also inquired about being upgraded to next-day shipping so I'd have the CPU before the week-end. Alas, the best they would offer is an upgrade to 3-day shipping - yippie.
With most companies out there, once an order is confirmed and you are given a ship date the company makes sure they HAVE a product before they cofirm that it'll be shipped. After reading other reviews of this reseller I wish I would have known that this is apparantly normal operating procedure for this mis-managed firm. In my humble opinion, their inventory management is ridiculous and their customer service doesn't exists. Customer service would mean the company telling the customer that the order will be received late, NOT the customer contacting the company after their product should have arrived and being informed that the company KNEW about the delay the whole time, but didn't mention it, since I'd obviously have cancelled my order so that I could get my CPU in time. Don't do business with them. Spend the extra $5-10 and find someone on pricewatch that has a decent rating.

LOOK UPDATE 8/2/02 - hmm still nothing. Caleld today and they shipped it yesterday, but with UPS ground 4-7 day, NOT the promised upgrade in shipping, they even lied about THAT!.

This company in NO way WHAT SO EVER deserves your business! Go elsewhere. I've bought a couple grand worht of PC components online. This company has been the wrost of them all. I only can pray that I don't ahve to return anything.

"Picked 3 day delivery. Called and was told items on backorder. Finally shipped July 24 and I got it July 26. Mobo and cpu. Cpu was DOA, did buy extended warranty, but they did not offer advance replacment. They do business like..well I'd rather not say. I have prior dealings with them and the only prblem I had last time was I ordered a mobo overnight or 2 day, and it took a week since it was out of stock. Other than the fact that they need to state on the site if an items in stock, that order went well. This time is a different story. I ordered a mobo and xp2200 cpu, the cpu was DOA. I placed the order july 19 and did not get till july 26. Of course both items were out of stock was the excuse. Is anything ever in stock? I called them back and they told me to send it back at my expense which I found hard to believe, then I called back july 31 to see if they got it, and Pat said he would talk to Brad and see, then call me back. Needless to say I did not get a call from Pat so I checked the website and sure enough they did get it and it was bad. It also said sending cpu back to vendor for replacement...ETA 2-4 weeks. So when I finally get the new cpu, if it isnt DOA, it will be over a month I have had to wait to get my computer up and running. Pat said they offered DOA insurance for cpu but I could not find it anywhere, only thing I saw was for oem cpu extended warranty which I did purchase. I did see advance replacment warranty for mobo's, vid cards and HD's, but thats it. I emailed them and asked to have a replacement shipped now since I did buy the warranty, and if not, credit my card since the chip was bad. If they dont, I will contact my credit card company and dispute the charges. No matter how this works out, they will never get any business from me again."

This vendor had the lowest price for WD1200BB disk drive, but they took a full month getting it to me. It was a 4~7 Guarantee Shipping. I suppose I should have asked "which month?"

My credit card was charged the same day the order was placed.

"Purchasing from this website has been a bit of a rollercoaster. It's definitely got it's highs and lows. Too bad most of the ride lays low. I ordered from their website on July the 18th. Today, after 2 phone calls, I finally have my order shipping out, but with changes that "I" had to call in about and ask "them" to make. It turns out that the motherboard I ordered was out of stock and also was in the process of being discontinued. They informed me that on the day I placed my order, someone had called me and left a message explaining why my order could not be shipped out that day. Whether or not they did, I can't really say as my phone line was under repair that day. Granted that this isn't their fault, but I'm a bit curious as to why they didn't just e-mail me about this situation when they couldn't reach me by phone. Second problem, I get an e-mail saying that they will ship my order within 3 business days. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this before. I wait for 3 business days to go by and still my order is under the "orders not shipped" category. I finally call in and get customer support. Their customer support was excellent as the person who helped me was very knowledgeable and made some suggestions about my purchase that helped lower my total by almost $100. I had thought that the order would ship out that day after the pleasant conversation I had with the customer support rep. Three more business days go by and still my order is under "Orders not shipped" category. Finally, I call in today with the intent of just flat out cancelling. After attempting to contact the shipping department for 30 minutes this morning, I finally gave up and just went directly to the operator. I explained my situation to the operator and he told me he could help me. Only today do I find out that the motherboard is being discontinued and that they have no idea when the shipment would come in or if there is even going to be a shipment. Apparently this is what was holding up my order for the past week and no one cared to inform me through the phone nor e-mail. After spending another thirty minutes on the phone with a customer support rep, he helped me find out alternatives to what I originally had purchased and he even ran my order to the warehouse department so that my order could finally ship today.

Another frustrating thing about their site is that you can't tell whether items are in stock or not. Even when you checkout, there's still no warning whatsoever. They promply charge your card and if it can't be shipped, they'll put a little remark at the bottom. The only remark I had was, "order cannot be shipped today". There was no explanation for it.

It's hard for me to really recommend this site. I told my friends about this and almost everyone of them would have just cancelled the order when they found out that the order would ship within 3 business days. If I were an IT manager, such business practices would annoy me to no end. The actual shopping experience was not exactly a walk in the park and it's a good thing that their customer support is so good otherwise I would have cancelled my order immediately. From the experience I went through it seems like their customer support gets a thorough workout though.

"STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE HORRENDOUS. I placed an order for two MSI GeForce4 4400's on April 26th. My credit card was charged the full amount that same day. The delivery option I chose was "guaranteed 4-7 day delivery". It is clearly spelled out on their website that sometimes parts are on backorder, but they will immediately notify you if such is the case. Well, my 7 days came and went with no delivery. On about day 5 I was getting ansty, because what appears to be an online status tool on their website just never gets updated, and only shows you that yes, your credit card was charged. So I began writing emails and making phone calls to them on day 5. On day 8, I finally got a hold of someone, to find that the items were on backorder and they expected them in within ANOTHER week. I cancelled my order, at which point I was informed it could take up to a month to credit back the charge to my credit card.
I then ordered the cards from newegg.com and received them in 3 days for only $7 more.
Good Resellers do not charge a customer until they have the item to ship. Good Resellers allow you to check on the status of your order on their website, or at least send you an email when your order is backordered. Good Resellers answer their emails and phones promptly, instead of ignoring their customers. I will never buy from QbitPC again, and I would not suggest them to anyone else either.

"QBITPC seems to be a solid company. I ordered a motherboard and my credit card was charged. One week later I called QBITPC and was told that the motherboard I ordered was out of stock and a shipment was due soon. It did show up on 7-15-2002. Except for selling a component that they did not have in stock the only other issue with this company would be the order status on their website. It stated that order was placed but did not say if it was shipped or not in stock. Even after it was shipped it still did not have an update saying that the item has been shipped. Yes more communication would be refreshing.
I would buy from this company again but would ask if the part is in stock first before ordering and ask to be emailed with updates.

"I ordered an EPOX 8K3A+ moatherboard, received sooner then predicted, but apon installation would not boot(post).I had also just bought an untested processor and that complicated things so that I didn't know which one was at fault.

I contacted them to inform of the problem and they were understanding. After getting the RMA from Ken and the reshipping, they determined the MB was at fault after testing.
Hears something not 'clearly' stated in the return policy, all returns are handled (sent/tested) through the manufacture, this process take up to 1 month.
If you want to exchanged with an item out of there inventory you pay an extra $25 (that's right even if the item was defective when it came from them) this is called there "advance replacement insurance".
Was informed of this today, 03 July.

Recieved today.
Complaint's are that they made me pay for the shipping of there defective MB and made me wait more then 2 months to have one returned to me in working order, besides not even keeping me updated when it would arrive!

As a matter off fact I had just sent them an email asking for a full refund erlier, LOL.

"Placed an order with QBitPC on 4/23 for a few items. I tried to order as much as possible from them because their shipping costs are excessive. I've ordered prior if I found a good price before price watch switched to item cost + shipping cost for results, now they always turn up on the bottom of lists. Anyways I receive everything and get an Abit motherboard with RAID I just can't seem to get working with XP to save my life.

About 4 weeks or so after purchase (and allot of time spent with Abit tech support) I call them up and speak to Ken wanting to return this awful board. He tells me to go to their website and do an RMA request and that I could ask for an exchange in the RMA and I would get back the boards cost ($110) minus 20% restocking toward my exchange. He said once they received it they would send me the board I wanted to exchange with and charge me the difference as long as I noted that’s what I wanted done.

I sent the board back, wait 2 weeks, nothing. I call up Ken and apparently I had to reorder what I wanted, they just couldn't exchange and apply my credit to it. So I basically I waited an extra week for nothing, they didn't even call me to explain I now had credit. Ken also told me my credit amounted to around $65, which isn't what he had told me in the beginning. So I got hit with the 20% restock off the current price of the board ($81) instead of what I paid ($110) minus restock, which is what Ken said. I have yet to call back to dispute this.

So I've purchased a new board and on a $135 motherboard the shipping cost is $15. Nailed with excessive shipping again.

Bottom Line: Excessive shipping costs, excessive restocking on returns ONLY to get credit, lack of support for special circumstances (exchange), and staff that apparently haven't a clue about their own RMA & exchange policy (most notably KEN, if you get KEN on the phone, save yourself 2 aspirin and hang up).
