"I ordered a Denon receiver from PowerSellerNYC. Their price was significantly lower than all the competition. Got a call from them 3 days later to "confirm" my order. They then informed me that the $600 brand new receiver I was purchasing was not goign to be covered by the MFG warranty and claimed that it was because they were selling it at such a low price. Called the MFG and confirmed that it is ILLEGAL for PowersellerNYC to sell their products in this fashion. These guys are scam artists and need to be shutdown. BUYER BEWARE!!"

"Very Bad Treatment and Misleading advertising

I ordered a pair of 3D glasses pictured in their online ad. When the picture was enlarged, it clearly showed 2 pairs of glasses. When the box arrived it had one pair. Customer service said it was my fault,I should have checked the serial number. I asked to return the glasses but they said no returns. Later I thought I had been offered a compromise to buy two pairs at a discount, but when I called to confirm this, a person named David started yelling at me that I was a liar and scamming their store."

Although this has nothing to do with the retailer, the guys that delivered the 50" tv carried it up three flights of stairs and unpackaged it to make sure all was OK. "I just got the projector in and right away noticed that the factory box had been opened. Once I got the projector out of the box I noticed that the factory label on the bottom of the projector had been peeled back. It looks to me like this projector maybe reconditioned. This label which contains the serial number covers one of the screws that holds the case together.
Also the sales person reduced the express shipping from $59 to $29 but then when the shipping dept added in the free mount they added another $29 to the shipping price. So far the project seems to work fine and maybe it is. I will update this review if anything else happens.
Update 12/09 I got a call from powersellers assuring me that my projector was new and not reconditioned and that they would call back the next day to confirm that the projector worked and credit my card back for some of the shipping. Two days later still have not heard back and no credit on my account.
UPDATE: 12/15/2010 No response from Powersellers
after further examination of the projector I am convienced it was a return repaired and sold to me.
