"Absolutely horrible experience. Ordered a pool cover one week ago today, everytime I check the status it says "will ship in 1-3 business days". Called customer service and got an extremely rude rep. she somehow claims it has only been 1 business day since I placed the order. Funny, I can look at my order on their site and it has 6-10-13 as order date. They also told me I cannot cancel this order,

"I so wish I had read reviews before ordering...I ordered a pool ladder for our new above ground pool we purchased to teach our girls how to swim. The ladder I ordered was an A-frame ladder with a platform at the top. The platform was the sole reason I went for this ladder as one of my girls is disabled. The ladder arrived quickly, but was the wrong one. The one I received was the same manufacturer and an A-frame, but no platform. I called customer service and after waiting for 5 minutes I got someone on the phone who asked me who the manufacturer was and after telling her she said "Oh you need to speak with X" and quickly transferred me to a voice mail. I hung up and called back. After waiting in que again, I got hung up on. I called back a third time and spoke with the same girl as the first time and explained that I was not interested in speaking with someones voice mail. She then put me on hold for 6 minutes and then said that she needed me to e-mail her a picture of the box for the warehouse to research this and she would get back with me. This was on 5/30 and I promptly sent the picture in an e-mail. I then received and e-mail on 5/31 asking me if the platform was in the box and I replied no. On 6/5 I sent an e-mail asked for an update on what is being done to correct my order. On 6/10 I sent another e-mail asking for an update again since hearing nothing back from the first I sent. On 6/10 I received the following reply from Corrine "Yes it was resolved, this is the new updated ladder, the ladder with the platform they do not make anymore." On 6/10 I sent a reply asking what I needed to do to return the ladder for a refund as it is not what I ordered and was more money than the ladder they sold from the same manufacturer without a platform. On 6/12 I received an e-mail from Corrine that simply stated "All sales are final". No apology or anything. I think it is absolute B.S. that you order one product and they send you something else and tell you tuff. Horrible service, very rude. Stay Away!!!!"

"This is my correspondence with the OWNER Charlie Goss of pooldeals.com. minus the incredibly rude conversations via phone with customer service regarding where & when this order would be fulfilled & if I could pay to upgrade shipping to get it shipped & delivered timely. After all this & mind you a deleted condescending email from this Owner, this tracking number that was created on the 23rd has not left the company and is NOT in fact in transit!

Once more. I paid for a product & accepted the terms of 3-7 business days,
which would at the latest would have been Fri the 24th, not a holiday. I
was given the run around regarding shipping & "the holiday" weekend as to
why it was shipped later than the terms agreed upon. Your company is at
fault here you moron.

I should have stuck to local businesses for my business as this wasn't such
a great deal after all. The precut product is what made it an attractive
deal. The first & last transaction with Pooldeals.

We offer lots of covers. You chose the one that takes 7 business days to ship. We also sell ones that ship the same day. Your cover shipped on time, and we do list all ship times on our website. 


Perhaps you need some therapy, it's a pool cover for god's sake. And it was delivered on time.

service. When asked if I could pay to upgrade my shipping the answer was
"no". Not only that but this package due to it being a holiday weekend
should have been out last Thursday as that was the 3-7 business day max.
Instead of today the 28th! I needed this product by the 30th & thanks to
your horrible customer service it will not happen.

Hello. I placed an ordef May 15 & the 3-7 business days to ship has passed & the order has still not been sent.  I absolutely need this by May 30th or I will hv to go purchase it locally. If this can not occur then this needs to be cancelled. On the confirmation & after speaking with customer service this should have shipped by this past Friday at the latest.

"My Pool cover began to disintegrate after a season and a half (weekend use only and adult use only) but I gutted it out and figured I'd contact them (POOL DEALS) before the third summer began. I purchased the heaviest duty one they had in the gold with the diamond pattern thinking it would be covered. I spoke to the owner and he informed me that I would need to send it back to the manufacturer. However I couldn't confirm the manufacturer -- apparently the only record of the manufacturer is on the box but who keeps the cardboard box that a pool cover was shipped in? (I have subsequently found out from others on here that these covers are not covered for the thing that always goes wrong, the bubbles themselves). Whatever the case, if POOL DEALS truly believes in its product, they should stand behind it and their customer like "IN THE SWIM" does. I made the number one mistake in 'purchasing.' -- I bought what seemed like a superior product at a very good price but got burned in the long run by appalling customer service. It was only when I went to check on the reviews for this company that I see that this Charlie (owner) character is basically a crook. Never again.. Buyer beware. Always go with good customer service even if it means you have to pay more! "

"PoolDeals.com is the worst company I have ever dealt with! I am sharing this with Facebook as well so nobody else gets stuck dealing with these idiots! I ordered a winter cover 10 days ago and the $ has not even come out of my account yet. I contacted them several times and asked if everything was OK. They said they would get back to me. They never did. I called to cancel the order today and they said they could put a request in but that if it shipped they can't stop it. I asked how could it have shipped if it never cleared my bank???? They said they will let me know tomorrow if the order cancellation goes through. Yeah, we'll see! They are completely unprofessional and I will be posting this everywhere I find to on the internet and to every person I know!"

"MAY THEY GO BANKRUPT! (please)

I purchased a pool cover from pooldeals.com on 17th June 2010. This is a cover that comes with a 10 year warranty - best available. I frankly did not want to have to replace it again for as long as I owned the pool. At the beginning of this season, less than 2 years after purchase and only 2 seasons of use, the cover is literally disintegrating. It is not delaminating but actually dissolving. The tiny bubbles that insulate the water have turned into confetti. I have just quit using the cover after spending an HOUR, yes a full hour, scooping these tiny little particles out of the pool by hand as the cover came apart in my hands while removing it.

I contacted Pooldeals.com and asked them for assistance as the product is warrantied for 10 years. They will not even identify the manufacturer for me so that I can contact them to discuss a replacement - this is a total sham - the representative was a stone wall - unwilling to provide any feedback or assistance on how to get this remedied.

I am a business owner and understand that things can go wrong at times but beleive in standing by my product and remedying a wrong. This outfit is owned by sharks - DO NOT BUY FROM POOLDEALS.COM. Pooldeals.com are crap. pooldeals.com will not honor their warranty, will not provide customer support and their is no customer service at pooldeals.com

Have you got it yet - buy from these people and you are throwing your money away! ...while enriching a group of dishonest, dishonorable people.

"Ordered a pool cover from these guys on 8/1. After I didn't see the cover a little over a week later, I decided to follow up and find out what the status of my order was. Even though they didn't have my invoice # (since I was either never sent one, or it was marked as spam and deleted from my inbox before I had a chance to check for it), they assured me that my pool cover was in progress and would delivered by the factory. My credit card showed a charge pending, so I thought, ok, I'll just give them more time. On 8/13 I asked them for my invoice number so I could track. Once again, they told me to be patient, and that it will ship from the manufacturer. Contacted them again on 8/24, and told them that I was going to order another cover and write this review if they did not follow up with me, and determine what my invoice number is. No response. Very frustrating. Just ordered another cover from Wayfair. We'll see how this one goes..."

"Sadly, I am among those who had an awful experience with this company, pooldeals.com AKA poolsexpress.com.

While navigating their website, once I placed an item in my shopping cart and continued to shop, I could not get back to my shopping cart without added another item to my cart and then removing it. In this day of Internet Shopping, you'd think they'd have a CART link on each page, so you could actually place your order. Sadly, that didn't stop me from placing my order... I should have known it wouldn't have gone well...

I, too, was charged a 'handling fee' when it stated free shipping. Slightly deceptive, but not a deal breaker.

Fast forward a few days, I sent an Email asking about the status, since online it still said 'Processing'. I called to inquire. The first time, I followed the prompts for existing orders, I got the message requesting to leave a message and they will respond via Email. Well, they already didn't respond to my Email. So I called back to speak to someone about a NEW order. After holding for more than 30 mins. I spoke to Chris, who told me that I needed to speak to customer service. I asked him to transfer me to an actual person.... Yeah, he transfered me back to the 101 extension which was the recording to leave a message. So, I left my message. No response.

I called another number and happened to actually get a CSR, Nichole - she must be the 'bored' woman that someone else mentioned. When I tried to cancel my order, she stated that the items had already been shipped and couldn't be canceled. She gave me the tracking number for the first package and then when asking about the 2nd package, she put me on hold and 6 mins later, hung up on me.

When I called back again - yes, my 4th time. I was in the queue to speak to her for only 5 mins this time. I asked her for the tracking number and she said she couldn't provide it. When I asked why the website still said processing, she said it takes a few days for them to update it. The package would have been delivered before the tracking info was provided. If they had given me the tracking number, I would have known that there was a signature required and maybe I would have been home to receive it. Now, I won't get it until monday.

Awful website, awful communication, awful Customer server. Terrible company! I do NOT recommend to ANYONE.... well, maybe to one person, but I really hate her...

"We bought a pool liner with a really nice colorful pattern and it turned white in a month. It cost $300.00 and $1000.00 to install plus water.

I contacted Pool Deals and they would not do anything for me, they said contact the manufacturer. I asked for that information and they said they did not have it. I asked for a refund and they refused. I asked for an address and they refused.

They are a fly by night company that sells crap and does not stand by it.

Never AGAIN!!!

"Love it, love it, love it. That's all I can say. Without the help pool deals gave me I am not sure what i would do. We just bought a house with a pool. I have no clue how to do anything with this pool. After several phone calls to pool deals and speaking with their very knowledgeable staff, I was able to get this pool going and save a tone of money! I can't even describe how helpful these people were. Thanks again for the prompt service and delivery. Love my solar pool cover and liner!"

"This has been the worst experience ever! I would not recommend using this company to anyone unless they are prepared to deal with misleading information including poor customer service. On May 23rd my husband and I ordered an inground solar pool cover to be shipped within 3-7 days. I noticed on Monday June 4th (now 9 days) our cover still had not left the warehouse. I contacted customer service in order to track our shipment and was advised that our cover would be shipped that day or the following day at the latest. Today now two days later I notice that the order on the website is still showing as not shipped. Once again, I contacted customer service to speak with the same female employee who now was very rude and stated that our order would not ship until Friday. I asked about having my order cancelled and was advised that there would be a 10% cancellation fee and no guarantee as to when they would get around to refunding the order. The individual that I spoke to had a very lazy attitude as if she did not care and or was just simply hating her job. She said " I don't know what you want me to tell you!" Maybe im sorry, better communication, or offering to follow up with any changes would have been an idea.. I am extremely dissapointed and will not be ordering my safety cover, diving board, and pool vacuum from this company as originally planned. This could have been easily resolved with better communication and educated employees. Now we are left with no other option to just wait until when ever this company has time to send out our solar cover. What a scam!! I will be leaving other poor ratings online regarding this company as well in order to save any other individuals the hassle of dealing with this unprofessional company."

"I learned a valuable lesson here.  I should have looked at the reputation of this company.  I ordered a pool cover and water bags for my pool and it came fairly shortly.  When the pool company came over to install the cover and winterize my pool, they found that 4 of the 12 water bags this company sent me had holes in them.  One of them had a 4 inch wide hole.  I asked for a refund on the defective bags since I had to purchase more bags to replace the 4 that they sent me that were not functional.  The company said they do not give refunds and that I was lucky because I "may have actually caused the bags to leak" and they didn't have to do anything. 

I was quite angry at this point and looked up their service record.  Oops.  Should have looked it up BEFORE ordering.  I confronted them with their bad service record and they said, "Actually I think it's best you handle the manufacturer warranty on your own at this point. We do not have to do the warranty legwork for you." 

Stay FAR away from this company.
