"I had done business with Pacific Geek in the past, and had good experiences, but they definitely are not a reliable vendor any longer. I placed an order on 11/17/2015 and, when I attempted to follow up (via the contact form on their website) after several weeks of not seeing my merchandise, I received no response. During this time, my credit card statement had arrived, showing that I had been charged for the order. Apparently, they are using Paypal to process credit card transactions now, which did not instill much confidence... I tried to contact them again, again using their web form, since they provide no other options - not even a phone number. Even more strange, my order history on the site showed that my order was still in a "new" status, not "processing" or "shipped".
At this point, I decided I had no choice but to process a chargeback with my credit card company. In all my years, I've never been unable to resolve a dispute with a vendor, and this was my first-ever chargeback. I found it interesting that the Pacific Geek website includes rather strongly-worded verbiage that "A credit card chargeback instigated by the customer will be voided and treated as fraudulent. Our merchant providers have these terms on file and will refund accordingly." I found this statement ridiculous, since the vendor absolutely CANNOT "void" a chargeback. They may dispute it, and provide evidence that they fulfilled the order and/or made sincere effort to resolve the dispute, but the action lies with the buyer's credit card company, not theirs. In my case, they never responded to the chargeback, so I got my money back.
I'm left wondering if Pacific Geek is even a legitimate business any more. I almost think that someone may have just taken over the web site in order to grab whatever money they can get. In any case, buyer beware!

"Pretty much what every other bad reviewer has told you here holds true for my last experience with these guys. Placed one order in 2010 that went very well, but just placed an order in September of 2012 that NEVER got sent out. I missed an important deadline thanks to these guys. They do NOT answer the phone, getting them to even get back in touch with you is impossible. Now, I have been stonewalled on getting the refund they owe, which is well over $4,000. Same as the other guys here... my attorney is fixing to get involved and deal with whatever he needs to do to try and get this rectified. Do NOT buy anything from these guys. Damn shame too, they have great prices"

"I have ordered several products from Pacific Geek. I have received everything that I ordered. Prices are great especially on their nooner specials. Shipping time is slow, but they do warn of long delivery times in advance. I did have one order that was almost 30 days before I received it, but they did have a statement when I ordered it that said due to the demand shipping would be delayed by 3 weeks. I have had several communications with them and their response is usually same day. Overall, considering price and their response time to emails, I would buy from them again."

"We ordered a Dell Optiplex PC at the beginning of January. The deal was found on Woot.com. The ad said that it would take about 10 days for it to ship. After about 3 weeks we email them and they say that it won't ship for another 2 weeks. I requested a refund. Still no money back and no PC in sight. Called numerous times but have yet been able to get a hold of anyone. All emails I get back from them are just a generic "we'll get back to you" response. Don't waste your time with them."

I wish I had gone through this review list before I placed my order with Pacific Geek. Initially, when I called them, they said my order will be shipped out within 10 business days. After calling them on the 11th day they said that their claim was that the order will be shipped out after 10 business days. This was irritating because it can mean it will ship out on the 11th day or on the 21st day or anytime they wish. The person on the phone specifically said he did not know when the order would be shipping out.
Funny thing is that my credit card was charged right on the day I placed the order. They did not wait to charge the card just before shipping out the order. Its like a financial investment firm which keeps peoples money for extended period of time earning free interest. Now that I have asked them to refund my credit card they say it will be done within 5-7 business days. I hope they do this sincerely. They said they would not be sending me an email confirmation that the order has been cancelled.
This has been one of most most deceiving experiences with online shipping and I recommend people to stay away from Pacific Geek."

"They're going downhill. My company ordered from them a few times in the past going back a few years and their shipping used to be decently fast, their items were in good condition, and everything always arrived as stated. My most recent experience seems to match everyone else's here that wrote reviews in the last few months. I placed an order in November, they charged our company's credit card right away, and then nothing shipped for almost a month. And when it did, we only received half our order, with no indication of when the rest would ship, and on top of that, the computers we ordered didn't even come with any of the software preloaded that they were supposed to. Not shopping here again, which is a shame - but my business needs a dependable supplier. Pacificgeek is no longer capable of filling that role."
"How can this company stay in business??? I placed an order on Oct 15 expecting my item to be delivered within a week. Two weeks later and nothing shipped. They did manage to charge my credit card though (imagine that). I contacted them on Nov 1 to cancel the order and request a refund. I was told that the credit would be issued the next day. It is now Nov 21 and they still have not issued my refund. I have since had to request a chargeback through Discover. What a bunch of scamming losers! I have never dealt with such a worthless company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!"
