"I recently ordered a number of components from PC Progress. All of the components were in stock except for the particular variety of ram I ordered, 512mb of ECC pc1066 RDRAM. My other 4 items shipped without delay, and I received an email from Ray G. telling me that they did not know when the ram would be in. He was very responsive and knowledgeable over email and helped me to decide on an alternative. I was very happy with the level and quality of service I received, and the prices were very competitive as well.
I have dealt with many resellers, but PC Progress is alone in providing complete satisfaction on all facets of the process. Highly recommended."
"I ordered an ASUS A7M266 MB from these guys, but I called first to get details of the revision they had. Jamaal was very helpful and courteous, and got up to get the information I asked for. As my computer was down until this MB arrived, I asked them to overnight it. Everything went off without a hitch. I'm extremely happy with the service I got from PC Progress. I'll definitely be keeping them in mind for future orders."
"I have purchased from them several times over the last 3 years. They let me know when items are out of stock and they ship promptly. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again."
"I bought an asus a7v8x mobo from here, but then found out it was backordered. They cancelled my order in a second with no questions asked. I would do business with them again in a flush."
"I ordered an Asus V8200T2 Deluxe GeForce 3 and an Asus A7V266-E motherboard. Both products arrived on time and well packaged. I would do business with them again."
"PC Progress proved themselves the first time I bought from them with quality products and great shipping and communications."
"Ordered my stick of Corsair 3200 Cas 2 on Wednesday morning and I received it Friday afternoon of the same week. I would definitely order from them again."
"This is the second time I ordered from PC Progress. The first time I ordered from them, it wasn't a very good experience, but for some reason I decided to give them another try.
This time I received the correct items (mobo, h.d., cpu & fan) and received them on time. Very pleased with this order, although I didn't have to return anything so that may be why.
It seems that as long as they ship the correct items, they are a good company to deal with."
"Only thing I did not like. Web site said retail box cd-rom. Got an OEM cd-rom. Unit works fine. Sent e-mail to them about it. Did not get reply.Rest was fine."
"They advertise and sell products they do not have. After spending several hours trying to find a vendor for a Celeron 850 retail for a customer (looking at pricewatch and web searches) I finally found it at PC Progress. Or, so I thought. The item was listed, price listed, and was added to the shopping cart to purchase. So, I did. Their site did NOT say *out of stock* or anything of that nature. The next day after ordering I get an email telling me *we don't have them*. They STILL have this item listed at pricewatch AND at their website as *in stock* and are still accepting orders for them as though they have them! For the OTHER vendors that show having this item at pricewatch, at least when you go to their site to order, it CLEARLY STATES *OUT* or *not in stock* so they at least save you the hassle of ordering then being told at a later time *we don't have them*."
"Ordered a Linksys cable modem online for ATT's internet cable service. Arrived within a few days, and works great. As always, you must know what to order to meet the compatibility specs for your computer and cable service provider. I also like this company because they do not require you to generate an account with a password just to order something.
Have ordered numerous times without a problem. Key to success...know the detailed specs, compatibility, and reputation for quality of your product(s), read the fine print for purchasing products, double check your order prior to submittal, be patient for delivery(transporters are not available yet), and speaking from experience with numerous other vendors, they all make some mistakes in shipping."
"I placed an order for 512 megs of Corsair 3200 memory on Friday and shortly after I submitted the order I realized I had placed the wrong shipping address so I called up and provided the sales rep the correct shipping information. Today I received an email stating the memory was ready to ship but there was a problem with the cc addresses. I called and spoke with a man who told me all my information was wrong. It turns out the person I had originally spoken with screwed up all the information and deleted my home address.
Basically the man I spoke with came off as abrupt and rude. I thought about canceling the order but since my new XP cpu and mb is in the mail I didn't want to be held up waiting for ddr memory from another supplier. I would not order from them again, there are too many other online outfits out there that want your business and are at least cordial on the phone."
"Had originally ordered a processor from Spartan. When I called to check on the order however, I was told that the processor was on backorder. I found that PC Progress listed it on their website, for only a few dollars more than Spartan, so I called, and when I was told it was in stock, I placed an order with PC Progress, and cancelled my order with Spartan. Late that night, I got an e-mail from Spartan, saying that the processor had been shipped. It referenced the PC Progress order #. After some research, I realized that Spartan and PC Progress are the same company to some extent. They have the same address, and similar websites, but different phone #'s (and Spartan sends e-mails regarding orders placed at PC Progress.) Anyway, the processor was delivered quickly, and works fine. Even with the confusion about who you're really dealing with, I had no trouble with the order. Price was excellent, and shipping was at a fair price, and was very fast. "
"I ordered a motherboard and processor via 2-day air late at night, it went out the next day and I got it the following day. I originally posted a good review of this company, but unfortunately I have to change it. When I opened the box, I found not the ATX version of the board I ordered, but the micro-ATX. It was an honest mistake. When I called and got the RMA info, I was told they would ship the correct one right away. I assumed that meant cross-shipment. Apparantly it didn't, becuase they didn't ship it. So I called again on the 18th, and they claimed I had not said "cross-ship" on the RMA form, so I emailed the RMA people again and got a reply that same day saying it was being shipped out that day, the 18th. So I patiently waited until the 22nd, and it still wasn't here, so I called and got the tracking number. It hadn't been shipped out the 18th, or the 19th or the 20th. They waited until the 21'st to ship it. So now it's the weekend and I won't get it until the 25th. The first mistake was an honest one, waiting a week to fix it and lying about it just for the sake of laziness is completely inexcusable. I will not recommend this company to anyone else."
"I've ordered many products from them over the years. I've had very good luck and I've had to contact technical support several times. They always helped me out. I recommend them without reservation."
