"My letter to their customer support, it explains my experience.

Well you have certainly ticked off an customer. On top of not asking me wether or not this was actually a duplicate order before canceling, telling me that both boxes shipped and issuing Fedex Tracking numbers, my credit account NOT reflecting the money returned, or the fact that it is TOTALLY useless to have just one of these items (LAN over powerline needs 2 nodes), i wont be able to talk to anyone about this because you have no valid Telephone Customer Support numbers available that work. Since i have a debit account and my money has not been credited back yet, i wont be able to order this item until the return cleared. also since it took 2 and-a-half days for proccessing the last time i ordered, it seems like i will be able to actually use what i ordered last week, in probably about 2 or 3 days since UPS sucks so much anyway. Also now that i have not gotten my product ordered before the 31st (which i would have if you had not canceled it), i wont be able to apply for the rebate for this item. so that pretty much took $50 dollars out of my pocket, i know that to you guys it might not seem like much, but I can tell you that i will preach to all my customers that PCCLUB certainly is not on my good side because of this issue. I sell system and pc equipment to just about everyone in my college and this was my first order i was going to test you guys out with. i am not sure that i will order again, because of the rebate not applying anymore, otherwise i would have asked for the item to not be just dropped and possibly send with free (faster) shipping. Please have someone talk to me about this issue, as it also is hurting me timewise. i was hoping to acutally use what i bought sometime soon, and at the rate that this company has been impressing me i might as well die of old age before i ever get anything working.

"I purchased a set of Corsair memory at the Clackamas store. The staff was rude and unhelpful when I made the purchase. Turned out the memory was BAD, and had some sticky substance all over one side of the memory. I went to return the memory and they actually accused me of ruining the memory with a static discharge. I proceeded to tell them that I am A+ certified and used a wrist strap. Without saying the actual words, they accused me of lying. After 20 minutes of arguing with the salesman, he finally gave me my money back.

I will NEVER shop their again, and would rather pay more at some of the other retailers in the area rather then deal with them again.

"A friend directed me to the store in Las Vegas to purchase some upgrade items before and I wasn't too impressed. He persuaded me to return and meet the new manager and mostly new crew since my last visit. I found the store very neat and well stocked unlike before, was greeted imediately and everyone was extremely helpful this time. The salesman wasn't pushy like before and the first question was "How are you going to use the machine" so he could point me in the right direction. He also kept the explanation at a level I could understand and explained anything I didn't very patiently. I'm sure I could have saved a few bucks on line and waited for the UPS man, but the extra dollars were well spent because of the advice and service I received. This store has gone from a total dump to a nice place to shop. Very impressive change since my last visit. I would highly recommend this store to anyone."

"I just want to say the Staff at the Riverdale Store in Utah are Awesome. They are so friendly and happy to help or answer any questions you have. I bought a Liteon DVD+-r/rw drive with a 25 spindle of discs and I couldn't be more happy. I used to have a store I would go to in SLC Utah and that was the only place I would trust. Not anymore. As long as PC Club remains this way they have a customer for life in me.

"I would rate th PC Club as the best place to purchase computers, and acessiores. Their customer service, stands alone, compared with any pc store I have shopped.
When having to order something, it usually arrives the next day.
Paul Tu, the manager, and his staff is knowledgable, and extremely helpful, and go far beyond the call of duty.

"In march of last year I ordered an Enpower laptop from PC Club, and about a week later received the laptop..


The laptop was absolutely great until just after halloween. When all of a sudden it starts turning itself off magically. That is when I figure out that the laptop is not charging properly anymore.

The laptop was then taken back into the Mesa, AZ B&M (where it was purchased) and I was told it could take up to a month for it to be repaired since it had to be shipped out.

About a week later the manager of the Mesa store called me to explain that there was "physical damage" to the power connector and therefore it would not be covered under warranty. Needless to say I balked @ the prospect of paying the 150$$ to repair a product that has not been dropped. At this point the manager told me he would look into it furhter and call me back.

A week or so later I called the store since I heard no information. Was told they would call me back.

Another week or so later I stop by the store. Still no information. Was told they would call me back.

Another call still no information adn of course an unfulfilled promise to call me back yet again.

Christmas eve.... call them they promise to find out and call me back.. ( I sense a pattern?? )

Christmas Eve... I fire off an email to 3 selected corporate officials....

That niten get a phone call from a woman @ PC Club who can barely speak english clearly and basically all she does is tell me that I have to pay to fix a product under warranty even tho she herself admitted that it was not my fault. Sh also told me that even tho they have had my laptop for well over a month that if I did agree to pay for the repairs it would STILL TAKE 2 MORE WEEKS for me to get back a product I paid for and own. Basically then a phone call was set up for Fri Morning (today Dec 26,2003) to see if we could come to an amicable resolution since they have had the laptop for well over a month and it is still not fixed. The reason why the call was ended was because the lady on the phone apparently had no power to do any type of resolution except call me and make me irate on Christmas Eve.

She kept stating that she did not know what time they would be able to call. To which I informed her it must be an AM call because I was leaving town @ noon and would not be back for about a week and I want to get this situation resolved asap.

And from reading previous posts it appears that PC club looks for any reason possible to find a way to use the "physical damage" excuse to weasel their way out of any warranty issues that may arise. Also on top of that it appears that the only way to get any type of response out of them as far as customer service problems appears to be that you have to become the "squeaky wheel" and then I'm still not sure if they will resolve things in a way to be acceptable to the customer. Which the last time I checked an abundance or lack of customers is what amkes or breaks a company and repeat business/word of mouth can do more for a company thatn an ad will ever do ( good or bad ).

Also I have noted from reading their own forums that it seems like a fairly often problem with their B&M's and their online store that my situation appears to be a pretty normal thing.

[update] Well it is now the nite of the 26th and I am already at my trip destination. Of course as expected I did NOT hear from them before I left on my trip like they said I would.... [/update]

"I've had nothing but an excellent experience at the Oklahoma City N. May store. Chris and James were very helpful. Because I'm not very cumputer knowledgable, I told them that I needed their help. They were very helpful in answering any question I had, While at the same time not making me feel stupid. I've read other negative comments about the PC club, but it seems like they were angry because they had to spend a lot of money, or they tried to install something they did'nt have any business doing. If you just ask, they will help. Heck, they will even show you how to do it. They're very freindly and they have great prices. They won my business!"

"I went to their website to purchase a dvd player. It was shown in-stock when I ordered, yet the order remained 'in procesessing' for two full days. When i contacted their support, I received an email stating that the item was out of stock and would ship the following week. I was never given any notice, nor was any positive action taken by this seller. Save yourself the hassle. Go to a name that has some backing behind it. Try newegg.com or someplace that has been tried and proven to care about giving honest information."
