"I have bought stuff from Orion since I started my astronomy hobby about 20 yrs ago and they've never disappointed me in service or equipment quality. This time was no exception. I had been wanting to have an 8x50 finder for a long time and hadn't found the right moment to buy it and this year it was the right product at the right time. The view in his finder is as good if not better than most astro binoculars, which is what I was hoping and wanting and the price was right for the quality of the piece.
The only reason I gave the review a 4 star rating was because I had to wait a few more days for the finder to be available, but even that was not a real problem as we've been having rain and cloudy days and I only had one night to test it and it didn't last very long due to more clouds coming in. All in all, a great buy and a great value! Thanks again, Orion!!!"

"The current finder holder Orion sells does not fit the right angle finder they sell. The finder fits an old version of the holder. The problem is the tab on the back of the finder. The problem is a mismatch between the tab on the back of the finder bracket and the corresponding hole in the holder. In older holders this hole was large enough to accommodate the tab on the finder. In the current holder it was not. I had to dremel the tab on the finder to get the finder properly seated in the bracket"

"I encountered an issue with the kit I had purchased. The moon filter was not threading properly into the included eyepieces. They responded to my issue and sent me a new moon filter within 3 days."

"I had hoped to write a good review but I have not had a good experience with this. I don't get much magnification and the finder scope is useless. It cannot be adjusted. I even brought this to mu local astronomy club to see if they could adjust the finder scope and help me--but they couldn't. I wish this had worked. "
