"I bought a complete system. It was very cheap and initialy seem like a good investment, but then the system didn't work. Finally I found out that the motherboard was malfunctional and sent it back. I did not recieve the part back untill two months later!!! Then by the time I got it together again the burner I bought stoped working. So I swap it out for a drive I already have and the processer dosen't run at the speed it is supposed to. The FSB speed can not be changed. Over all it was the worse buying experience I have ever had. I want my first semester at college with out a computer because of it. I would never buy from them again and I would never recommend them. Thanks."

"OK people. I build and repair PCs for a living.

I orderd 48 items on Feb 13 2003 (hard drives CDRWs and DVD roms). I have placed lots of online orders in the past with a minimum of 20 items per order from nexthardware. My last order total was $2535.92 (larger than usual). The order was sent in out multiple packages, the first ones were shipped out 3 business days after the order. Packages began arriving Monday the 24th. All packages contained the items that I orderded, and as usual, they were packaged well. One package remains to be delivered on the 4th of March according to shipper's web info.

I have bought hundreds of items from nexthardwareshop and I have yet to receive a faulty piece so I can't verify the quality of their RMA. I can verify that I have received the orders that I have placed and they are working well for my clients.

Delay in shipping is my biggest complaint but I save considerable $$ and I pass the savings on. I try to anticipate what I will need 10 to 20 days in advance and order those parts accordingly. Nexthardware gets about 20% of my business and would get more if they would ship out quicker.

I placed another order for 43 items today. I will continue to do business with nexthardware.

Nexthardwareshop is coming unglued. The orders I have placed over the last six or months or so have not been filled properly. Seems that there are always backordered items. Last two orders took a month to complete. Last order completed with four 40GB IBM/Hitachi Deathstar hard drives. Two of them were DOA. I don't think it was NHS's fault for the defects tho (they were sealed by the manufacturer), but they took far too long to send them.

When I order items from them I add a note to notify me ASAP if they don't have the parts in stock, because I might be willing to substitute for something else. It took them three weeks to tell me that they didn't have 20 Toshiba DVD Roms.
I asked them how many they had.

They said none.

I asked them what other brands of DVD Rom they had.

They said none.

They told me that they would give me a credit for the DVD Roms.

It has not happened.

They told me that they would ship the rest of the order.

I have not received it.

I sent them an email.

It bounced (address unkown).

Their web tracking does not work. I have not received any emails confirming shipping from them. The last order was shipped w/out notification. I think they lost their the UPS account because they now everything arrives FedX.

They have changed the look of their website and have increased their prices on many items. They seem to keep their website updated but I have a feeling that they are going to crash and burn in the near future. It is very difficult to get anyone on the phone. I've been buying elsewhere.

"I ordered a graphics card and with heavy amounts of work and time on my part... eventually found out that they did not have the part. I soon thereafter cancelled my order and hopefully was refunded. I wouldn't bother with them, prices aren't everything!"

"DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I am a computer tech who is puts together, maintains, troubleshoots, and sets up systems on a VERY frequent basis for friends, family, business associates, and certain departments of a university that I am employed. As I was putting together a system for a business associate, and was short on time (christmas was soon to be rolling around), I made the mistake of ordering from these guys. My partner ordered a 17' Envision monitor, a 69g Samsung harddrive and an Abit AT7 motherboard, grand total of $339 (i know, its high). They assured me, both through email and phone, that the products would BE THERE by december 4, a little longer on shipping due to thanksgiving. Relunctantly, after MANY assurances, I agreed. The date rolled around, I got nothing. After repeated phone calls and emails, on the date of the 11th, I both wrote to them via registered email and called them to let them know we were canceling our order, I went ahead and got the parts elsewhere. So, I canceled the order, but because I did NOT trust this company, we went ahead and put a stop payment on the credit card as well. BOY AM I GLAD!! They went ahead and SENT the order, AFTER they had received and read the email. The order ALSO had the WRONG ITEMS. Instead of an AT7 motherboard, I got a kx7-133...for those of you who know anything about motherboards....wow....

The hard drive was also the WRONG drive, it was an 80g Samsung drive. The drive is going into a RAID array, and thus this was less then satisfactory, even though the value of the harddrive is more than expected.

By the way....the products they sent me did NOT ARRIVE UNTIL THE 16th and 21st of December (sent in two boxes), and were VERY poorly wrapped, as well as the motherboard being OPENED and the harddrive at LEAST installed in another computer if not used, the screw holes have wear on them and the drive itself looks slightly worn.

WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! IT IS NOT RELIABLE!!!

They do NOT return phone calls or emails, and I think their "staff" is a joke, i would not be surprised if it is only one or at the most two or three people.

I will keep posting on this and attempt to keep up to date on the events. i called them today, and regardless of which department I was transfered to, the phone HUNG UP on me.

"Do not buy from this company. If your order comes with every piece in perfect condition, you will probably have no problems with them and should count yourself lucky. However, if you have any kind of problem or question about your order, forget about getting any customer service from these clowns. The monitor I ordered showed up with a crack in the plastic casing around the top. I immediately wrote them an e-mail for an RMA number so I could send it back to them. The only response was an auto-response saying they would contact me within 48 hours........HA! I called them the next day and got an answering machine. I left all my information and asked them to please call me back. No response again. I then called my credit card company to dispute the charges on the damaged equipment since I could get absolutely no service from these idiots. The credit card company also could not get in touch with them, so they took the charge off my bill. Lesson here is using a credit card protects you from shady companies like this one. About 3 months after this experience, someone from Next Hardware Shop called my house. The man had an Indian accent so bad that I could barely understand him. He asked me why I didn't pay for the monitor, and I proceeded to tell him my experience with his abysmal company. I am still sorting this mess out.

"Well, after reading some the rating comments at this site, I shouldn't be surprised at my experience with them.

Placed an order for a 24x CDRW and 120GB HD on 12/4. I have to give them credit for sending an immediate order confirmation email. But the good news ends there. No other information from them - ever. I kept checking the Order Tracking until 12/9 when a UPS tracking number was assigned, but with "Billing Information Received" status. No knowing what that meant, I waited to see if anything changed. The UPS "Scheduled Delivery" field indicated it would be delivered 12/16, so I didn't worry too much. Of note is that on 12/4 I placed 7 other orders with 7 other online merchants, all of which were delivered before 12/16, some of them before I received the shipping information on this order 12/9.

After a couple days I was curious about the order status. On the original scheduled delivery date of 12/16 I emailed them about the status. I received nothing in return. The next day I called and was forced to leave a message on their voice mail system. The call was never returned.

At this point, the two items have shipped, one likely to be delivered on 12/23 19 days after the order was placed, the other scheduled to be delivered 12/30 - 26 days after the order. And based on some of the other comments here, I am doubtful that what I ordered is what I will receive and that both items will be new and / or functional

"An absolutely horrible company, managed by people who are extremely unprofessional.

I could write a 10 page paper on the numerous problems I had with these clowns. However, I'll be short...

- I had to show them where their website said that customers can cancer orders by sending an email. This was after he told me that this was not on their website.

- I followed the directions EXACTLY on how to cancel an order. My order still did not get canceled.

- When I received the item that I had already canceled I called them and told them it was going to have to be sent back... at their expense. I canceled the order 5 minutes after making the purchase, according to their rules, so I did not feel I was responsible for any shipping costs. After a few minutes of arguing, they agreed to send me a shipping label.

- I had to call three times to get them to actually send the shipping label. "Oh our systems have been down." Mmmmkay.

- Getting in contact with these clowns is IMPOSSIBLE. Do NOT expect them to answer the phone during the hours they claim they're open. Every single time I've called, I've had to try multiple times before I've actually got to speak to someone.

- There's been a few times that I've called that they still have their answer machine on at 2pm.

- You can forget these guys answering your emails.

To sum it up...
There is NO reason to ever buy from these people. There are plenty of places that have prices just as low and you can't find a company with a worse management and customer service.

Save yourself a headache...
Shop somewhere else.
I know I will.

"Received my order a day earlier than UPS had expected, and everything was in good working condition. NextHardware has always answered my calls.. I guess some companies have their good and bad days... luckily I caught them on a good one.

So far so good... placed an order Monday morning (12/2) and received email confirmation by end-of-day...
Was registered with UPS the following day, so at least I'm assured that the pkg is on it's way... shipping was high, but overall the price was right. A little longer then I had intended on waiting... (Ordered on Monday, expected to receive following Wednesday.) First time shopping w/ Next Hardware, and not necessarily the last.. (We'll see once the package arrives!)

"I am very dissatisfied with this company. I ordered a CDRW from them. I noticed the shipping time was longer than expected. When I emailed them I asked why there was a delay, I was told there was no delay, and they told me that I placed my order a day later than I actually did. When I confronted them about this they admitted that the item was actually out of stock, yet it was not listed as such on their site. This is unacceptable and now I have a delay in shipping to deal with when I needed the item immediately."

"This is bulls**t. I ordered something last night and tried to cancel the order a hour or so later via e-mail. All their e-mail addresses on their site are BAD addresses. I'm calling today during business hours, and get a voicemail box. I'm very upset with these people and I advise anyone reading this to stay away from their company.

Update: I still have not been able to contact the store via e-mail. All their e-mail links lead to bad addresses. Several voicemail messages have gone unreturned, and I've just found that they've charged my account.

Don't buy from these people. They'll sure as heck take your order and your money, but you can FORGET any sort of customer support.
