"Hmmm... I ordered on February 10th (Friday Morning). I got UPS shipping info after lunch Monday. Took 10 days for UPS to actually show the product as being en-route. Three emails meantime bounced back from their listed email address. I did manage to get one through, and it was ignored.

***UPDATE***

So, I get the monitor today, the 27th of February. 17 days, hardly the 5-7 advertised. I can deal with that though.

Unfortunately, what I can't deal with is the monitor they gave me. I ordered (so the invoice says) a ViewSonic PF-790. They sent me a ViewSonic P95f+ instead. It IS a better monitor than the older PF-790, however I only ordered from them because I needed a PF-790 to match my other one in my dual-monitor setup. I found the P95f+ for sale elsewhere online for $99.24 LESS than what I paid.

Anyway, I just left a voicemail and sent an email. We'll see if anyone contacts me. I figure they have until Monday to contact me before I stop payment with my credit card.

We'll see....

Unfortunately, I was looking for a rather obsolete part (A replacement monitor for my dual-monitor setup), and had very little choice of merchant. My normal sources weren't able to help me. I only hope, after reading the reviews already here, that I actually get what I ordered.

Shipping charges weren't bad, though... $30 for a heavy 19" CRT. I guesss you get what you pay for. At lease we paid by credit card, so I can stop payment (and will) should anything go sour. I'm not very hopeful right now.

"Terrible company to deal with. Purchased several items, price was good, but shipping price was very high. They did not have the motherboard I ordered after telling me originally that it was in stock. After a few weeks I called their sales number (after several emails with no response)to checked the status of the MB. They told me that they would no longer carry this particular MB and would give me a credit on my credit card. After several calls and emails that they would take care of it, I am still waiting for the credit. I am sorry I purchased anything from this company. "

"I ordered a CD-RW on saturday, and received it on Friday. It didn't get shipped out until Tuesday night, even though the charge appeared on my bank statement on Tuesday morning.

I was not impressed with the return policy, or the amount of effort it actually took to speak to a real person on the phone, so I pity anyone who actually needs to contact these people for questions or returns.

After reading reviews from other people, I was worried that I wouldn't be getting the right item, if even at all, within a reasonable time.

To their credit, they shipped out the right item, and I received it in less than a week from time of order. The price was also very very good, although $12+ shipping on a 2-lb item is WAY too much.

Due to the lack of ease to reach these people, and the amount of time it took for them to ship the item out, and the return policy, and the slightly increased shipping costs, I probably won't be buying from here again. However, not a bad service... just not anything special.

"I am not done yet. This is my second invoice number use for this fradulent company rating. The worst thing of all and from what I have gathered from reading everyone's comment in here is that the product is either "WRONG" or DOA. I paid a large sum for 6 Samsung RAMBUS 800 w/ECC and what I get is a cheap no brand name RAMBUS which does not even come close to one that I was suppose to get. I am now 3 weeks dead in the water with 3 of my Compaq EVO W8000 workstions sitting and idling. My clients is breathing down my throat for me to meet their deadline. Today I have to move all the RAMS from the two workstaion into one so I can continue my work. It is a shame and disgusting to see what I thought a good and reputable company trying to rip-off a business man like me. I know a lot of people here just give bad comment and brush it off but more than 95% of the comments are negative I cannot imagine that this kind of on-line computer retailer is still standing. Each one of us should not just give negatives reviews about this company, but also file a complaint against consumer fradulent and illegal mal practices. This same business procedures by "Nexthardwareshop.com" seems to happen to everyone and it is sad for me to see other people fall for the same trap. It disgusts me to see a foreign crook ripping good people and their hard earn money that they have spend on this sorry on-line fraud store. Here is my e-mail correspondant with the company.

Let me ask you something!!! Who do you think you take me for? What kind of a stunt are you pulling with your customer? How dare you after all I have waited and paid my money for I have gotten a cheap and incorrect product. You think I could not tell Samsung 256MB ECC 40ns from this dirt cheap no-name Rambus which does not even have the correct speed or ECC. My workstations, EVO W8000, as specified by Compaq only works with Toshiba or Samsung ECC 800MHz with 40ns and greater. The RAM you have sent me does not even nearly match the description as I have ordered.

I have found 6 sites rating on-line computer retailer and you on all of them have been rated not even above 2 out the best 10 points. All the customers seem to be the same experienced as I have been. You deceived you customer by delaying their shipment because you do not have the product in stock. You send out a fake UPS tracking making your customer think that the product is going out, and then you go and buy some cheap hardware to send them. You also over charge you customer, which is a fraud, UPS shipping and handling double what it is supposed to be. The RAM does not weight up to a pound and and UPS shipping up to a 1LB is only $7.50. The ram I ordered, which not even the ones I ordered, cost $9.00 less compare to other site but in reality it is more expensive in the end. How ridiculous is it for one shipment of 4 RAMs to cost $24.98? You then finally switched the product and send them out to your customer thinking they would not know the difference. If you think that is the case, think again. I have never been and feel so ripped off by an on-line computer retailer before. Your company is truly the first one that has just made an outstanding fraud impression on many people who has written about you.

I am an easy person to deal with but I do not react very well to people or company who are dishonest and deceitful. I have spent a large sum of money I honestly earned to purchase the product I should get but instead I have been played with, toyed, and fraudulently given the product which I did not specify or purchase.

I will not press this issue further with you involving the law and reporting to consumer protection agency; I kindly demand that all of my money are to be refunded minus the shipping charges and NO RESTOCKING FEE. I want the RMA number sent to me via e-mail by tomorrow and my refund ASAP when I have shipped the product back to you. The total refund minus shipping charges is

"DO NOT USE THESE THENEXTHARDWARESHOPE.COM!!!

I placed an order for a DVD Drive and a Seagate Barracuda on Thursday Jan 29th 2003. I received an order confirmation the same day and shipping confirmation with a tracking number on the 31st. So far so good. When I tracked the package on Monday,Feb 3rd on the UPS website, the package still had not been shipped. I emailed the shipping department but received no response. On Tuesday I called the long distance number and received a voicemail message from the shipping department. I called back and got the customer service department (Ed). When I asked why the package had not been shipped he told me he would find out what was going on. He put me on hold for a few minutes and when he returned he told me that the package had definately shipped on Friday, the 31st, and that if the package didn't arrive by the next day to call him back.
The next day, February 4th, Wednesday, the package still had not arrived and had not been shipped according to UPS. I called back and Ed put me on hold for several minutes to check things out again. I gave up after 5 minutes or so and hung up. He called back soon after and said the Seagate drives were on backorder! This after swearing the shipment went out 5 days earlier. How do these guys survive?

"Bait and switch indeed. These guys are downright terrible.

Late December of 2002, I spent about $490 ordering 4 hard drives (all of which were the same kind). As I have online banking, I was able to see that I was almost immediatly charged. However, I never heard anything from the company. I never got an email back with an invoice. Naturally, I was a little worried. I tried to contact them to inquire about the status of my order. Like many of the people here, I was completely and utterly ignored. It was like I didn't exist. It was like they didn't exists. I wrote countless emails. I left several phone messages. All of them went unanswered. They indicate no responsibility to their customers at all. You really can't rely on these guys at all.

I became getting worried knowing that they had charged my card for about $500 and I could now not even talk to a representative of their company. Around Mid January (more than a couple of weeks later), I knew that I had to begin approaching this as fraud. I had given $500 to a company that refused to even talk to me. I contacted my card company and began the official process (which is a big pain) of halting payment for investigation. I continued to try to make contact with them informing them of what was happening, thinking this time (now that their merchant account was threatened) that they'd be willing to respond. STILL NOTHING!!!

I was in a middle of a very time sensitive project and needed to get those drives. These was way outside of any reasonable expectation. I had no other choice but to, a couple days later, run to my local retailer and pick 4 equivilant drives up hoping that my $490 would be quickly and easily returned to me now that it was in the hands of my credit card company. That day, a box from Next Hardware Shop was sitting in my front door.

At first, I did feel a little guilty. Maybe I had just been complaining too much... they did deliver. But further experience in the situation proved me otherwise.

Now I was stuck with $1100+ worth of drives, 4 of which I didn't need. I still hadn't heard ONE WORD from NextHardwareshop.com. They refused to even aknowledge me or the situation. It took over two weeks to get a simple order delivered, and they have ignored my existance and my concerns since the very second I placed my order and gave them my cc number. Now, not only am I tight on cash because of this blunder, but I see no forseeable way to get rid of these drives short of selling them myself for significant loss. To this second, NextHardwareshop.com has still ignored me.

That's just how they operate, I guess. The prices are low, but only because they make it worth it in other ways. The shipping is obscene. Over $50 in my case... for $6 worth of shipping. I have to say, I've never encountered an experience this bad. These people are unreal. It angers me that a company with such bad ethics and practices can even operate.

"These guys suck!! After reading the reviews on these guys I wish I would have went elsewhere. I ordered a DSL/Cable router from them on the 10th of Jan and got a order conformation but nothing else. I have called and left messages, sent emails, no response. I am on a time schedule and will not be able to make it since this shady company will not respond to anything. "Hello. I have previously ordered several Lite-On CDR/RWs from these clowns. While they over charge for shipping I didn't mind since the list price was low enough the total was still usually lower than most other places, shipping has also been very slow. However, my last two orders have been disasters. I ordered two 40x12x40 Lite-Ons, they accepted the order, charged my card, neglected to tell me they were out of stock and weren't getting any more of these drives. After two weeks they wanted to charge me more than the listed price to upgrade to the 48x24x48 Lite-on. Finally I did recive the 48x at the 40x price. Thinking it was a isolated incident, I ordered another 48x24x48 Lite-On Dec. 28th. No order confirmation although they charged my card. Two days later I get a UPS ship notice with a estimated delivery date of today the 8th of Jan., but also showing that they had sent UPS the info but not shipped the drive. I sent several e-mails and left as many phone messages requesting a status on my order.... zero responses... nada, zip. Today, the 8th of January I see the drive has finally been shipped... still no responses fom these clowns. My customer was expecting her PC back today, now she has to wait another week until this order arrives. Obviously they were out of stock again but feel its acceptable to accept an order and charge the customer with notifying them that the item is out of stock. As a system builder I cannot be placed in a position like this with my customers. I recommend Newegg, Googlegear, Directron, or Monarch Computers... all those places have what these clowns do not... customer service, integrity, and respect for the consumer."
