product fine but beware of shipping problems

"The coffee table I ordered arrived and looked great...except the glass top for it never arrived. Fed Ex said it delivered the piece, even though it didn't and wouldn't compensate me. National Furniture Supply takes no responsibility for shipping problems unless you pay a lot extra for white glove delivery service. Had to buy another glass top for the table on my own dime."

Poor policies and customer service response time

"I ordered an over the toilet storage unit for my bathroom, and somehow selected the wrong color during checkout (white instead of espresso). When I realized my mistake, I contacted National Furniture Supply via email as instructed their website in an attempt to cancel the order. The incorrect color storage unit was still sent out, and my attempts to contact the customer service hotline in the next few days were unsuccessful even though I called during business hours (apparently they close an hour early sometimes). When I finally did manage to reach someone several days later, I was told that the storage unit was sent out despite my attempts to cancel the order because they thought perhaps I would change my mind once I received it. Now, I know it was my mistake for choosing the incorrect color during checkout, but this is absolutely ridiculous. If a customer contacts you explaining they chose the wrong color, why on earth would you send it out anyway? (Unless you want to stick your customers with a 30% restocking fee, which is their standard rate for returned items.) I was amazed at this reasoning (and not it a good way). In the meantime, I had ordered the correct color and it arrived in good time and perfect condition. However, I still needed to contact National Furniture Supply to process the return, as it had been several weeks and my credit card had not been credited. So in the end, I got the unit I was hoping for, but not after much ridiculousness. I would not order from National Furniture Supply again; the savings and hassle were not worth it. "

Oh, by the way, you need to do your part

"I ordered and paid for a small item, which was a cast aluminum plant holder on May 3, 2016. It was to be a birthday gift that I would present to my wife on May 19th. Instead, she received a picture of it with her birthday card with an apology from me.

I heard nothing from National Furniture Supply concerning my order until I filled out an email form on their website on June 6, 2016. Within a few days I had received confirmation that my email was received and that the order was being looked into, a confirmation that the item had been shipped, then I received my item.

My conclusion is that the internal system of the company does not work correctly unless a squeaky wheel alerts employees that a specific task needs to be completed. I will not be using this company again. There are too many other companies that know how to run their lemonade stands correctly.

"My cat knocked over a vase I had purchased several years ago and still really liked. I found the same one on the National Furniture Supply website. It took a little more than a week and the same vase in perfect condition was left at my door! Thank you!"

Frustrating Experience

"Ordered a Flambeau Lamp and the shade would not sit right on the frame. Asked to return it the day I received it (via email). Sent them a picture of the defective design, and after a week of emails and phone call attempts (always answered straight into music with no company introduction or estimate of hold time), I received an email that someone from claims would be in contact with me. Never heard from them since. Would never do business with them again."

Cute piece of wall art

"I bought the Nantucket wood whale sign to put up on one of my walls in the entryway of my home. It took quite a bit of time to arrive (about 4 weeks) and my credit card was charged before it had even shipped. Upon arrival, it was packaged well, but did not come with mounting hardware or even a picture hook on the back so it could be hung. The piece itself is very nice...real wood and the print is beautiful. The picture online is an accurate representation of the sign and dimensions are exact. Could be used in many rooms or styles of decorating! "

Split beer table

"We ordered a beer hall style 8 foot table with benches for $450. The photo sample online shows a very new looking table and has the description that actual color varied. Both the table and benches seem very sturdy. Unfortunately the table has a huge split down the middle throughout the length of the table. It gives a little at the split when you press down on it. The delivery did not come with a Bill of Lading so we aren't sure that we can even return it. Wish it was in better shape so it will last longer but guess we just have to settle."

Poor customer service

"Online it said item would ship in 3-5 business days. After almost 4 weeks, the item finally shipped. But not until I called repeatedly inquiring about my order. Each time I was promised it would ship the following day. Very very bad customer service. Very misleading. Would pay extra to order from a better company next time "
