Quite possibly the worst online retailer bar none!

"I had this misfortune of dealing with their shady shipping practices and fake tracking numbers a few months ago. Unfortunately I I know purchased from them on Walmart.com and the same nonsense has started again. Last time I had to threaten a charge back to even get a response. They like to use the “Label Created” stage of USPS tracking to leave your package sitting somewhere not yet received by the post office. That will also be the reason they cite to attempt to deny your refund. This time I’m going directly to PayPal because I will not deal with their horrendous customer service again"

Lousy Service

"Purchased a CD Box set on Movie Mars Amazon account which was supposedly shipped. While in "transit" though no tracking ever updated, the Box set sold out on Amazon and nearly every other retailer and 3rd party prices went up 2x to 3x what I paid. Only a day or two before scheduled delivery I receive an email from Movie Mars stating my purchase was shipped back to them by the carrier and I was issued a refund...unilateral decision without even consulting me as the customer. Why would I want a refund and not have my purchase redelivered? Amazon sent Movie Mars an email requesting on my behalf to redeliver my purchase and Movie Mars replied that I was refunded. I then emailed Movie Mars myself asking for redelivery and Movie Mars replied that I was refunded...neither "Sarah" nor "Susan" in their so-called customer service even address my request directly, offering nothing but parroting regurgitation of generic policy statements. This company has the worst reviews, almost as if they could care less. It is even speculated if you read enough reviews that they feign delivery issues and then resell items that are increasing in value at a higher price...seems plausible to me! Lost another customer Movie Mars, great work CEO Brian Marzano!"

BEWARE of MovieMars

"I purchased DVDs from MovieMars that would not play. I mailed these back to them using the label they provided. After more than a month, I have not received a refund nor a response to my emails. BEWARE of MovieMars!"

Aggravating shopping experience

"Agree with 1 star ratings. Like to give 0 stars. Low price, no tax, free shipping then send wrong incomplete order. Return, wait, refund, wait, re-order, wait get wrong incomplete order again. Repeat step 1. Wendy and Sara POOR & CONFUSING customer service. Both said it's a "internal system error". Both send roundabout vague email that doesn't answer questions. Needed to forward PayPal invoice, I did. Needed invoice #, sent again and said "it's on the invoice I FORWARDED". Needed order #, sent again and said "it's on the invoice I FORWARDED". Needed transaction ID, sent again and said "it's on the invoice I FORWARDED". Needed attachment, what "attachment"? Don't have an "attachment"? Wendy said they can no longer help and contact PayPal for assistance. Identical products listed with different prices. Prices change a lot. Found telephone number on BBB site, no answer and can't leave a message. Sometimes get a tracking number then doesn't match the package. When finally done with returns, refunds, re-ordering, paid 10.89 less than to begin with, go figure?"

Terrible Customer Service

"I placed an order with this vendor for a Christmas gift several weeks ago. Then 4 days before Christmas they randomly cancelled my order via email. When I called customer no solutions were offered, just a rude, “too bad” attitude. Now I’m left with no time to order the item from another company. Thanks."

Stay Away!!!

"I ordered a cd from this company. I waited 8 days for them to process my order. They say shipment takes 1-3 days. No shipment confirmation. Emailed this complaining about that. They said it would ship out on the 11th. It didn't, so I emailed again. They didn't seem to understand,. cancelled my order, and ordered it somewhere else. I mean seriously, they didn't even ship it out. Won't be buying from them ever again. It was a Christmas gift So annoyed. "

Order fell into Black Hole

"Orders placed with Movie Mars disappear due to poor interface with PayPal, which handles payments. Example: placed order, received email acknowledgement, but as of two weeks later, nothing received from Movie Mars. Called MM, they admitted to problems with PayPal: apparently, PayPal accepted money, but MM wasn't aware of the order. MM processed refund. Bottom line is, if customers want products, should order from someone other than Movie Mars until its interface with PayPal becomes dependable."

No communication thieves

"Placed an order on 3/8 with this seller through Barnes and Noble. Found out on 4/1 order had been cancelled on 3/15 (no notice) no refund. Was told by Barnes and Noble that the seller had notified them of shipping on 3/11. After inquiring, AGAIN, refund given. Now, the hard to find item that supposedly shipped on 3/11 (but was actually cancelled) and two auctions to get it for the same price are long over, said item is triple to quadruple the cost and I'm out time and will now have to try to find item all over again. Absolutely terrible customer service, no communication on cancelation and they tried to steal my money. There are many reputable sellers, these people aren't them. Buyer beware. "

Won't give me an exchange on a DVD that won't work

"I ordered a DVD 'Gimme Danger' from Movie Mars on Amazon in late January and it came to me within 2 weeks. It wouldn't play on either of my 2 old DVD players, which warned me to 'check code', or' wrong code', etc.. I delayed sending this back to them because I was about to purchase a new Blu Ray DVD player from Best Buy, which the Salesman told me would probably play it, and I purchased this player within 3 weeks ago, giving Movie Mars more time for their wrongly coded DVD to work for me and save the hassle of an exchange with the shipping, etc.. I asked Movie Mars for an exchange for one that would play in North America, but they won't do this because the order is 'too old'. Looks like this backfired on me, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I wish I had read the review on this site before doing business with them. I won't be doing any with them in the future."

I am very disappointed in this company.

"I ordered a CD, which arrived with the case cracked and broken on both sides. I couldn't get the CD out of the case. I requested a return, through Amazon. It was approved. I followed the return instructions (from MovieMars) exactly, and returned the CD on February 9th. I got nothing but the run-around from MovieMars after my return was approved. After weeks of telephone calls and e-mails between me and Amazon, and me and MovieMars, I finally asked Amazon to cancel my claim on March 16th. The $13.00 refund just isn't worth any more of my time and frustration. I will never do business with MovieMars again, and highly recommend that you don't either. "

"Took a Month to receive the correct record sleeve with the WRONG album inserted.... Looked up reviews and apparently this is a VERY common practice for them. If you really want the item and Amazon Prime doesn't offer it; Discogs is reliable and trustworthy! "

"This company isn't trustworthy. They cancelled one of my orders after sending me a notice that items had shipped 4 days ago. Reason for cancelling and refunding, Account adjustment. What that means is they didn't want to sell the record to me for 17.82 cause they turned back around and marked it up to 27.59. Will never order from them again"

Multiple Orders Wrong

"I ordered a complete series as a gift for my fiance from walmart who uses Movie Mars as a third party company. When I recieved the product instead of it being seasons 1-8, like it was supposed to be, it was 2 sets of seasons 5-8! I returned the order giving the benefit of the doubt and re ordered the product. At this point not only is the gift WAY late it is wrong AGAIN! The exact same thing happened a second time! I have returned the order and will NOT be purchasing through this company or any that uses them again!"

Nothing But a Rip Off With Help From WalMart

"On 2-23-2019 I purchased a CD from Movie Mars on WalMart's website. It says the company ships in 1-3 business days after 5 business days and no tracking number I contact them. The next business day I get a reply saying it will ship no later than 3-4-2019 (the next business day) so now it has been 7 business days.
I then get an email on the 4th with a tracking number so I check the tracking number and it is a DHL to USPS and it shows the label was created at 5:27 PM on 3-4-2019 and at 5:30 PM it was on it's way to the DHL Distribution enter. Yesterday morning I checked tracking at DHL no updates still showing the 4th on it's way to DHL, so I contact Movie Mars again and I get a reply it shipped on the 4th and that was all they said. This morning I checked my email and their is a refund for the CD. So I check the tracking number and it still show that on the 4th at 5:30 it was on it's way to DHL no other up dates!! I should have paid the couple of dollars extra and bough it at WalMart, the 4 CD's I did purchase from WalMart arrived before the Movie Mars was even so called shipped!!
