"Kevin's prompt replies to email, and his eagerness to help won my business. He stayed in touch with me during the build process and even granted my requests to flash the Bios on the motherboard. PC was packaged very securely and came with all the boxes and manuals to all the components and booted up with no problems.

"It was mainly the RR score which pointed me toward KC Computers. It's been nice to see that their high rating was amply earned. Ease of ordering, speed and courtesy of comms, parts availability (including a case they special ordered to appease my vanity!), and pricing were all admirable. A month since my purchase (which came sturdily packaged, with all original boxes and docs included), the system shows every sign (the gods willing, all other things being equal) of being durably and competently constructed.

It's rare that I recommend anything without caveats and reservations. This is one of those moments. You simply want to be doing business with Kevin and KC Computers.

"Website was easy to deal with, and Kevin is an excellent businessman. I would HIGHLY recommend their computers. The computers are an excellent value, and Kevin runs a great company.

EDIT: Just about three years later now since I bought my computer. At the time, I only bought a two-year warranty. In hindsight, that was a terrible decision. In the three years I've had my laptop, it has broken four different times. The video card failed three times (twice in two months), and now the hard drive has failed. Maybe not all of the computers KC Computers sells break, but mine did... repeatedly. I would definitely not buy from them again.

"Excellent customer service, usually responds to emails within a matter of hours. Very helpful in choosing the machine you need, not pushy at all. I've had my computer for about two months and it's running great. I only had one issue when it arrived. A hard drive power cable was loose, so the machine wouldn't boot. I found the problem and fixed it myself, after sending a photo in for them to verify that was the problem. This might have been more frustrating for someone less knowledgeable about computers, but it didn't bother me much. I highly recommend KC Computers."

"I got exactly what I want for a very fair price. Kevin responds to e-mails very quickly; 7 days a week and I even got responses at 1:30 am!! He never pressured me to buy anything I didn't need and actually told me I was spending more than I needed! He helped me buy exactly what I needed and tried to get me the best deal possible.

This purchase of a new computer went absolutely perfect and better than planned. He was very patient, quick, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.

You'd have to be crazy to get a computer from anywhere but KC Computers! I give it two thumbs up, five stars, an A++++, and a 10/10.

"Wow.

If you are reading this review of KC Computers there is one point I should get to very quickly: It does not get better than this, that is unless you are looking for a web-site with shiney graphics and very limited, streamlined options.

The two major reasons to choose this company:

(1) selection; Kevin has more options than you can shake a stick at for building a computer to your specifications. The best part is that even if you are overwhelmed by so many choices, Kevin will help you figure out what you are looking for based on what you need to do with your computer and your price range. HE WILL NOT SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DO NOT NEED.

(2) customer service; it simply does not get better, I would give this a six out of five stars if I could. This man responds to your e-mails, seamingly in seconds.
He is not a sterile, inscripted, outsourced customer service representative.

Here is a fun fact.....Kevin warned me to wait a few extra days to order because the Pentium Core Duos were about to drop a decent chunk in price. How awesome is that? Good luck getting that kind of honesty from Dell.

Seriously folks, there is a reason why KC Computers has such a high rating. If it were possible he would surely have a higher rating than 10.

Awsome product + exceptional service + a fair price = KC Computers.

"After feeling the squeeze of today's fierce system requirements, my 5-year old computer just couldn't cut it. I needed an upgrade.

I looked back and forth between the two mainstream choices -- Dell and HP -- but heard many a tale of poor customer service and lots of problems. So I started looking at other options, like Alienware and Voodoo. Again, I hear more problems and tales of poor customer service.

So in doing more research, I came across KC Computers. I heard plenty of great reviews from them. So many great reviews that it was almost unreal -- particularly focusing on KC Computers' amazing customer service. Yep, it's gotta be a scam, right? A computer company that focuses on customer service? Unheard of! It couldn't be true, could it?

Well, I figured the reviews have got to have some pretty good truth. ResellerRatings.com is a pretty reputable place. So I decided that I would look into ordering a computer from KC Computers.

I go to their site, which is a pleasant change from the confusing interfaces of pretty much every other site. You go to a page, and it tells you what's involved, simple as that. I went to the Custom Desktops page, and they had a nice selection of parts to customize with. But this is mainly used as a base. The amazing thing is you e-mail KC Computers, say kind of what you're looking for, and they'll give you a quote and response.

Sounds great, but how well does this work? I mean, having to e-mail people... gee, that could take days to get a good response. Hardly! I e-mailed KC Computers on a Friday evening, and got a response later that night, from Kevin himself! And he apologized for that quick of a response being a bit behind of his usual response time.

After several e-mails back and forth, Kevin worked with me to get my order right and make sure I was getting everything I wanted. I put a bunch of cool stuff in my custom computer (I wanted it to blow away pretty much whatever I could throw at it), and I never felt pressured into buying anything I didn't need. Not once. He gave fantastic advice, and I could really tell that he wanted to make this order perfect and build the perfect computer for me.

I got my computer pretty darn fast, too. It came a day or two earlier than I was expecting it to come. It came nicely packaged in a big box, and had all of the boxes and discs for anything put into the computer. This is great, because that way you have everything that came with it right by you, rather than having to call up the place you ordered the computer from and try to figure out what X part is or how to fix it. It had the books, CDs, serial numbers... everything. Great!

So I hooked everything up, which for an average Joe who doesn't build computers and has a lot of hardware knowhow like me, was very easy. Plug it in, turn it on, and that's it. It's running. And phew, on my Quad-core, 4GB of RAM set up, boy did it fire up fast! When it booted up to Windows (I had him install Ubuntu Linux, as well, and it works so flawlessly that it's amazing), there were already the necessary programs and stuff installed needed to use my TV Capture Card and my LightScribe DVD Writer. I didn't have to pop in a single installation disc for anything I ordered from him at this point.

After a few days of playing around and testing, there was a problem with the SoundBlaster sound card I ordered, although it was resolved by removing it and then reinserting it, followed by reinstalling the drivers for it. Then it worked like a breeze. But that was literally the only problem with it, and Kevin was quick and eager to help resolve it and get it fixed.

Now, after having given a nice opportunity to test the computer's power and duarability, I can say with confidence that I wouldn't consider getting a computer from anywhere other than KC Computers. Their prices are great, the quality of the computer is superb, and the thing that haunts most people that buy new computers -- customer service -- is top-notch. Seriously, I was blown away by the amazing level of customer service. Every single e-mail I've ever gotten has been straight from Kevin directly.

Would I recommend KC Computers? You bet! If you want to take a gamble and fuss around with horrible customer service, please, by all means, go ahead and order elsewhere, because Kevin will make sure that everything is done within his power to fix things.

10/10, and I am definitely doing business with KC Computers again. Definitely!

"A friend recommended KC Computers. I thought that prices would be higher than other sources but when all was said and done, they were quite competitive-perhaps mostly because I only bought what I needed and got the exact system I wanted without unnecessary components.

I was amazed at how responsive Kevin was to all my emails; including late at night and on the weekends. I was put off a bit by having to get prices via email but don't let this be a hindrance. There is no pressure, responses are quick, and Kevin worked with me, giving me a lot of good advice, including how to keep the price down but still get what I wanted.

I received both of the systems I purchased within 10 days. Unfortunately, Kevin made a mistake on my order and put the wrong disk drive (it was smaller than what I'd ordered) in one of the systems. However, this was his opportunity to shine - *he* was the one who noticed and asked me to check (how many companies come to you to see if they made a mistake???!!!) Then, when we realized the wrong disk was installed, he gave me several options. I ended up choosing to install another drive to match the original purchased size (500 gb). I have moderate technical ability/knowledge and he walked me through installing the second drive, late on a Saturday night!! If you are a novice with computers, don't let this scare you. Installing the disk myself was my choice. The new disk came quickly, no extra charges for anything and it was very easy to install with his help and "hand-holding". He's also been very responsive to questions I've had since then. I highly, highly recommend KC Computers. My experience was so refreshing after the heartless experiences with "name brand" sources.

"I had initially selected CyberPower to assemble my computer, but upon reading the many horror stories by disgruntled CyberPower computer purchasers I had second thoughts. One of those consumer reviews recommended KC Computers. Their consistently high consumer ratings, especially in support service, made buying a computer from them an easy decision. The entire ordering process, done by e-mail, was quick and efficient. All e-mail questions were answered with dispatch by Kevin, the owner. KC Computers’ consistently high reseller ratings create high expectations. I was not disappointed. When I received my computer, assembled and tested, it worked perfectly. It cost $75 for shipping and insurance from New York to Long Beach, California, but the peace of mind that comes from dealing with a reputable computer company that gives attentive support is worth it. It’s rare to find a computer business nowadays that is so highly recommendable.
KC Computers has added another lifetime purchaser of its products.

"I ordered my desktop In late May, after many e-mails with Kevin Chalker. He guided me through my wants vs. needs well, without the "upsell" style of other computer companies. KC Computer's prices are well within reason considering Build costs are included. The actual Ordering process was simple and quick. I received the computer 13 days after purchase (with a holiday weekend thrown in and 3 days to ship). The computer was packaged well and safely protected. Kevin sends all boxes, disc, and documentation from the build. Setting up the computer was easy, and I was booting up in minutes. Then the test for KC Computers started. My system froze and beeped and wouldn't boot anymore. I thought to myself-unfortunately, now we'll see how good KC Computer's after purchase support is. I contacted Kevin, and through a series of e-mails, (I work long days) we troubleshot through the symptoms and possible fixes. My tech knowledge is midrange at best, and we hit the end of my abilities. Kevin quickly issued a notice for UPS to "home-pickup" and return for diagnosis. Kevin's gut feeling was a bad motherboard, and in the end that was the case. Kevin polished up my desktop, installed a new motherboard and "reshipped" with NO additional charge! (with the exception of the OS I decided to have installed during the Mobo replacement) You may think this should be normal, But if you browse through other Builder's reviews, you will see that, this is not the norm.
With other builder's I would probably have a rather expensive "paper weight" or still waiting on the repair with major hassles thrown in! Kevin kept me informed during the fix and stress tested the new board over the weekend, before sending it back. I received the computer back two days ago, and it is performing well! KC Computers is first-rate as the ratings indicate, and rest-assured that if you do run into problems, Kevin will back up his product! Rare to find these days! Kevin thanks for the support and I'll be ordering from you again for my next build. Overall, Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

"KC Computers may be one of the last companies that understand the meaning of customer service. Every question was answered within 24 hours, sometimes within minutes. Sometimes at 1:00 AM! Kevin was always willing to give advice, to help me get the best machine that my budget would allow. He was always helpful, no question was too silly, no request too small. He made me feel like I was his most important client. Try getting that feeling anywhere else, in any industry. Although the prices are fairly competitive, the service is the true value here. Kevin's won me as a customer for life, I'll never buy a computer anywhere else as long as he's in business."

"KC Computers is a great company with even greater service. I ordered the computer May 30th and received it June 15th. Besides UPS knocking something loose it was very well constructed. I had specific parts I wanted in my case and they provided each one. Everything was put together and programed with a professional touch. You cant find better service anywhere. I was looking around and just decided to e-mail KC computers for the hell of it as I e-mailed many other companies. Kevin got back to me within minutes and gave me a quote. Hes a cool guy and knows what hes talking about. Let me just say its a huge relief dealing with someone that can speak english and speak properly. I owned a dell and hp and their customer service when ordering is a nightmare. Any questions I had Kevin answered right away and provided good advice. Kevin e-mailed me when the day the computer arrived asking how it was. I mentioned that the plastic hooks on the door broke because of shipping and he offered to send a new door right away. Service like that would keep me purchasing from him again. I highly recommend purchasing a computer from KC computers. "

"KC Computers is not only the best computer company I have ever done business with - they are probably the best company across the board that I have ever done business with. I came across KC Computers after I had purchased a computer from a disreputable online computer company (CP) despite their claims of support, I had nothing but headaches and ultimate returned the computer. The first time I emailed Kevin, it was near midnight and I was desperate for an answer to my computer problems. I had read his reseller reviews, but I was still surprised when I had a return email from him the next morning that he had written at 3 a.m. complete with a price quote for the system I was looking to buy. Kevin continued to correspond with me while I returned my bad computer and awaited my refund. He then suggested I wait two weeks for the Core 2 Duo price to drop - a suggestion that saved me almost $200. Kevin was extremely patient and accommodating as I compared parts and asked limitless questions. I almost always had a response within the hour. This kind of service is unheard of in the industry. Kevin was even able to get parts not listed on his site and I felt that it was as important to him as it was to me that I get the computer of my dreams. If Kevin's service is platinum, then his computers are twice that. My computer arrived in perfect condition, and I was almost a little surprised that everything worked so perfectly (I still am) All of the disks and manuals were provided, and he has emailed me several times since my purchase to make sure everything is working fine. Before he sent it, he even did extended testing because he knew of my previous bad experience with CP and he knew how important it was to me that everything work. He even made sure the latest drivers and BIOS updates were installed. I can't think of any company that would do for me what KC Computers did. I don't think anything will ever go wrong with this computer, but I know if it did, Kevin would stand on his head to make it right. The level of personal service is unmatched. Everything you read here is true. It doesn't get any better than KC Computers. I learned the hard way that service is more important than a cheap computer. I found Kevin's prices to be very fair - I priced out building a system myself and in the end, I still couldn't beat the deal Kevin was giving me. I have a friend in the computer business, and his name is Kevin Chalker."

"Well where do i start...Awesome is an understatement...
KC Computers is bar none top quality from the emails... to phone conversations..to the advice given to the customer..(can you believe they will even direct you into trying to save a few dollars where needed YET maximizing performance and not jeapordizing quality....exactly..WOW).
As you read thru the ratings.. you will notice a common thread which is superlatives just cant describe what you come away with from this company..
