I initially attempted to call but could not get through, likely due to time differences, so I wrote an email explaining the situation. I was contacted by HotelPlanner, the person who helped me sincerely made an effort to do something about this mishap. She was understanding, patient and friendly and took care of the situation in about 20 minutes. In addition, I received a response to my email from Reginette within 30 minutes from the time I wrote it. They noted that I had been helped over the phone and confirmed the cancellation. This was my first time ever booking with HotelPlanner, and despite me being unable to rebook my initial reservation, it was a pleasure to experience such quality of service. "I would like to commend Reginette Exume for her excellent service. I booked a reservation for my Cousin's wedding that would be 6 hours away from where I live. I chose the option that stated No refunds or cancellations. As life happens the wedding was cancelled, and I was horrified to learn that I would be out $280.00 for a hotel room I no longer needed. When I called the number, I was met with extreme rudeness, basically saying you chose that option. I reached out via email, and Reginette took on the case taking the time to contact the Hotel and explain my situation and was able to refund my credit card.
