Miami Location

"My teen for the most part had a good experience. However, the wait time to receive the student id and proofs was ridiculously long. A female high school student arrived with her mother who by the way was the only parent not wearing a mask and skipped the line. Since she is related to one of the owners, she only waited about 15 minutes for her proofs. One of the staff members said that the office understood she is so-so’s niece therefore she is a priority. Very nice to all the students and their parents waiting over 40 minutes to receive theirs. Miami is known for entitled individuals and they were the perfect examples."

Do Not Order From This Company

"I ordered my graduation cap and gown from this company and because of their complete lack of competence I will not be receiving it in time for my graduation. Obviously, I will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!"

Scammers

"Cannot get in touch with customer service nor will our rep answer his phone. Classrings were not delivered. Going on 5 months now and they will not respond. Unless you want to get ripped off and enjoy seeing your child disappointed stay away from these jerks."

Your class ring

"Herff-Jones claims to be a customer centered company. While some of the staff members are very friendly, they deliver YOUR ring the way THEY want it. Here is my case in point:
I asked them to put my name in the center of my ring. They said they could not because "HJ" was near the center of the ring from the mold. So, I asked them to put nothing and send the ring. When I received my ring I had "HJ" filled in and sent it back to them requesting they engrave my name in the center. They engraved "HJ" front and center and put my name on the side near the back of the ring.

My wife, my kids and I have 7 Jostens rings. They have great customer service and all of rings are made to our specifications with our names in the center.

If you want a "customer centered" ring company, just ask where they write their customer's name. If it is not in the center of the ring, move on!

Never recieved my pin, nor will the customer service respond or help

"I ordered my nursing pin in March with the expectation that it would take up to 6 weeks for the order to process and ship. Our school had made note that they are reputable and are typically on time. Well, it's 9 weeks later and I have still not recieved my pin but they made sure to charge my card! I have contacted customer service several times via email, through the CS contact on their website, and phone calls to no avail. All I got as far as an update (from local sales rep who's contact I got from calling my school bookstore) 1 week ago was, "it did ship from our warehouse but no tracking # was made, so we don't know where it went but we're working on it." Now, the local sales rep will not respond to my calls or emails. I'm out >$60 and they could care less.

Horrible customer service. Would NOT recommend.

LIARS AND THIEFS

"I ordered a graduation package, consisting of the cap and gown and custom items. After making the purchase, I discovered that I could buy the cap and gown by themselves. That’s all I really wanted anyway. So I called the next day to cancel, and the representative, Rheagan Tarte, kindly confirmed my cancellation request and sent me an email confirming the full refund would arrive 7-10 business days. She advised me to place a separate order for just the cap and gown, since I had cancelled the graduation package. I foolishly trusted her. And to my dismay, the order they promised would be cancelled and refunded was at my door two weeks later. Getting a hold of these people was ridiculous. Endless hold times by phone, no responses to emails, inconsistent responses on their **** app. Worst of the worst!!! Made off with more than $400 from me. Stay the hell away from them."

Zero Stars

"We ordered our college graduation announcements as soon as we got the email to do so. The order was placed April 11 for a May 22 ceremony. Today is May 18 with no sign of them. I have called at least 10 times with a hold time of at least 30 min. on each call to see where the order is and gotten nowhere. There has never been any communication, email, phone call etc., from Herff Jones as to when we can expect to receive them. So frustrating and sad for one of life's a monumental achievements. "

Worst service Ever!

"I ordered my son’s graduation announcements back in January 2021 guess what I just received my son’s graduation announcements and he graduates tomorrow. Meanwhile they told my husband that we owed $144 for announcements when I already purchased $77 worth it graduation announcements! The customer service ****! And they could have told my husband that we purchased them already! But they did not do that! And we are stuck with 2 boxes of announcements! They were supposed to deliver announcements at school and they did not! I’m mad! Big time!!"

Really awful, don't even try using them. Also got my credit card info stolen!

"I'm a graduating senior who recently had their commencement ceremony, and unluckily for me, my **** cap and gown didn't come in time. Don't be fooled with Herff Jones tells you that they have a guarantee shipping time to get your items to you before graduation, because they don't. I ordered months in advanced just to have my items sitting in a warehouse. And not just THAT, I'm STILL waiting for the cap and gown despite my graduation having passed a whole week ago. I would send email upon email, I would wait in customer service phone calls for hours on end, and even then, the person who picked up was incredibly rude to me and uncertain in her answers. She kept reassuring me that it would be "some time this week" that the item would be shipped, and basically deflected any other questions I had about wanting a refund.

Their data breach also released my credit card information and I had to cancel my account in order to get people to stop using the money on it. So. Yeah. **** these guys. You deserve better than this **** company, so please ask your university or highschool the moment cap and gowns are available. Try to get the first ones in the batch so that you don't have to turn to Herff Jones.

Cyber attacked, horrible service

"First off I would like to say Herff initially messed up by sending me two grad packages, one intended for a grad in Iowa (I live in MD). Within the next week in the early hours of the morning I kept getting emails about declined purchases on one of my privacy.com cards. Herff announced the next day that their database had been targeted and some grass had gotten their money stolen. If I had used my debit card, like alot of other peers had used, I would have had 3k stolen from my bank account. Stay away from Herff if you can, this was a series of unfortunate events that this business could have prevented. "

THE WORST SERVICE

"I’ve had two awful experiences with them! They’re the worst at responding to customer concerns and didn’t refund my first order that I never received because the pandemic canceled my first graduation. They told me they will refund but never did. For my second graduation this month they have yet to answer or email me back to get an update on my order. "

Ridiculous

"I ordered a cap and gown, and the cap was missing. Since I was just going to use them for a photoshoot (Covid, so no in-person ceremony), I returned the package after contacting them to get a refund. I kept calling them because I was not receiving a refund, I called them 4 times, each call about 2 hours wait. This is ridiculous. It's been 7 weeks since I returned the package, still haven't received a refund. "

Multiples - They don't care

"Since we have twins, I called to ask about purchasing 2 cap and gowns because the website would not allow separate purchases. The condescending customer service rep stated it had to be done separately due to personalization which is a lie because 1. the software is basic and available to allow for multiple personalized items, and 2. there was no personalization needed to the cap and gown. The handling fee, though, is $12.50 which is ridiculous and that is why they want it ordered separately, I believe. It has nothing to do with the system limitations or to 'make it easier' as the representative stated. "

Outrageous shipping costs

"I tried to place an order for $193 and they were going to charge me $40 for shipping. That's ridiculous. They said that each type of item ships from a different location, and there's no discount or for shipping, no matter how much you spend. They're the ones with the logistics problems - don't pass it on to customers.

Really poor service. I'm going somewhere else. Nice that they think they have a corner on the market.
