Absolutely Atrocious

"I placed my order on February 23rd and never received it. After reaching out to the rep assigned to the school, he finally responded with, FedEx doesn't ship to PO Boxes. The day I placed the order, that wasn't mentioned. Usually, the order form will not let you continue unless you give a physical address. The order form states, will ship to the address you provided. So, the rep asked for my address. I never heard anything else from Barry. To make it even worse, they begin shipping to our bookstore. If you can ship to the bookstore, surely you can ship to the homes if the individuals who ordered. It's stressful enough to get to the point of graduation and to find out you're going to be piecing together cap and gowns is absolutely absurd. Luckily, I found my MBA regalia, purchased a 2022 ($9) tassel to match the classmates that did receive their regalia, and purchased a $50+ hood that wasn't the greatest match. To top it off. I sat on hold over 3.5 hours (took 3 naps) before speaking to a rep, only to be told she would need to get someone on another level to call me the next day because she was the only one in the office and didn't have the authority to refund my new card. I asked if she could just send a check because my old card was compromised and I didn't think a payment could be refunded to a different card. She said someone would reach out the next day. Well the next day arrived. There was no call or email. I reached out. I received an email from Autumn apologizing.........
. What a horrible experience. Herff Jones you've been in business long enough to know when you're not going to meet demand. I'm pretty sure you have business analyst, supply chain experts, and any other experts that knew this wasn't going to be successful before I was able to place my order in February. This was a very frustrating and uneasy experience. In the end, I received a full refund and graduated with a smile.

Worst company

"I ordered a month ago and I got an email yesterday that I need to pick it up one day before graduation at my school. They were supposed to ship it at my home. Now I need to take the day off from work to pick it up and I am not the only one. Many other students are experiencing the same problem at Lehman College. "

"Ordered cap and gown on April 13th, received nothing and it’s May 19th !! Was promised latest delivery would be the 19th and received nothing. Graduation is in 2 days… horrendous company. "

TERRIBLE COMPANY

"I ordered my cap and gown back in March. Email says I would get my order in 3 weeks…. Never got it… two weeks later I received my cap and gown, but not my graduation hood!!! I waited about a week because it was explained to me that they were experiencing labor shortages…… week of graduation comes and i still have not received my graduation hood. I call 3 times two days before my graduation… no one answered….. i called 5 TIMES THE DAY BEFORE MY GRADUATION….. I WAS ON HOLD EACH TIME FOR 30 MINUTES!!!….. NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE….. and now my graduation day is tomorrow and i will be going without my hood…. I was supposed to get an email if my graduation hood would not get here on time and i never did…. TERRIBLE PLACE AND THEY NEED TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! Best believe i will speak to somebody on campus about this because this is absolutely disgusting!!! "

"I ordered a package and only received the cap and gown. Request for a refund and it would take 7 business days.
Ordered from another website your announcements and "thank you" cards! Representatives are not very "customer satisfaction" oriented.
Never again I will shop for the extra stuff!

Wrong and missing items

"I ordered my Doctoral regalia through the link provided by my school, who used Herff Jones. I placed my order 6 weeks prior to graduation, when I called the bookstore the week of graduation for pickup they said they had not received their shipment, and could not get a tracking # out of Herff Jones. The order finally arrived Thursday (I had a banquet on Friday, and Commencement Saturday), and received the wrong hat (mortarboard instead of the doctoral Tam as pictured), and no hood whatsoever, even though the invoice said Doctoral regalia. It was too late to order from anywhere else, luckily I was able to borrow a tam and hood from two different people. I tried contacting the company Friday, no response, and called Monday, was put on hold for nearly an hour for no one to answer. Tuesday I called and was greeted with 'expected hold time is 167 minutes'. No concern for customers."

Horrible service

"Wish I could give zero stars. After a month, my gown finally arrived. However, they sent me the completely wrong color! I was supposed to receive one with green velvet, and it even said this on the package, but I received one with black velvet. My ceremony is in a week, and I have frantically been trying to call, email, use their online forms these past couple days to no avail. I haven’t heard back from anyone at this company. Would never recommend them to anyone!"

DONT ORDER FROM THEM >>>> GET IT FROM THE SCHOOL

"Worst ever!!!!! I won't be getting my cap and gown on time even though I ordered over a month ago. Spent collectively going on 2 hours on the phone and still nothing. They gave me to a line to just sit and wait, don't care to go the extra mile and don't care to be transparent. Please, I've read about this happening every semester just like this. This company goes out of its way to remove all comments from youtube, facebook, etc. because of all the anger and hate they insight yet these schools push to use this 1 star company for whatever reason. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. LET THIS COMPANY CLOSE UP SHOP."

WRONG CAP AND GOWN

"I ordered my cap, gown, and hood a month and two weeks before graduation. I ordered it when they told us to so that it would get here on time. Last week I received a Master’s cap and gown (sleeves are WAY longer) and the cap is an octangle shape rather than square. I am graduating with a bachelor's. I did not receive my hood, we were told it would come separately. Last week I tried calling multiple times and the number would not let me through, I sent emails, and signed up for the contact me thingy. Graduation is this Sunday I’m worried that won't get back to me in time. I will not be able to wear this and might have to buy one from somewhere else. $118 what a waste of money!"

It never arrived

"I ordered my realia three weeks in advanced paying the rush fee. I checked continuously the status "In progress", when I call them, they said it wont arrive on time, and that if I wanted a refund, I will have to wait on the phone. Kept me for almost an hour to finally hang up on me. What a terrible service. No wonder why they have constant terrible reviews, and I wonder how they are still on the business. "

Wrong School

"Received cap and gown thank goodness. BUT the Thank You notes were inlaid with the wrong school insignia. I’ve tried contacting them via email twice and called twice. No response. Spent good money for these items. Disappointed because it looks as if it will never be rectified. "

Horrible service save your money

"Ordered cap and gown more than 3 weeks and no one can seem to give me definite date on when I’ll get it. Waste of time and money, and horrible service. You should give all of 2022 class grad their money back. Why are we spending $130+ for a company that can’t even deliver our product on time? Save your money and order from other websites that are $30. If I knew any better would’ve never ordered with you guys. Thanks for making my grad experience less exciting and stressful"

Save your money So dissapointed!!!

"Ordered college graduation announcements online April 13th, 2022, with my son's graduation scheduled for May 15th, 2022. Immediate receipt indicated a 10 day turn around time from purchase to receipt. Fast forward almost 30 days later after a few emails inquiring on status, we received the announcements, 5 days before graduation!!! And that's not the worst part. The interior verbiage was offset & by not being proofed, it read, "Bachelor of Business Administration Sigma Beta," next line "Delta Highest Honors." Sigma Beta Delta Highest Honors should have been on the same line. Anyway, we alerted our family & friends via our own email announcement about graduation details, with the announcements to follow. But when the Announcements finally arrived, we can't even use them due to the poor quality of the verbiage layout. We have utilized Herff Jones throughout both of our sons academic school careers spanning High School & College, and this is the worst we have received. We have initiated an email to our local representative for either a correction of the product, or a refund. The outcome is to be seen. "

Ruined Master Pinning and Holding Ceremony

"The students in my cohort and I ordered our regalia to through Herff Jones. The hoods for our Master Degree were not included in the shipment (which is the most important part of Master regalia). Despite Herff Jones' assurance that the hoods would arrive in time for our ceremony, we received an update stating they would no longer arrive in time. I will get less of an experience at my ceremony because Herff Jones messed up. So disappointing after spending 2 years working on my Master Degree."

DISASTER

"Giving this company even one star felt dishonest. I ordered my regalia March 25 and did not receive my cap and gown until May 2. The hood and tassel still have not arrived and my PhD hooding ceremony is tomorrow. Customer service is abysmal, never order online from them. "
