Don't buy from this company

"I paid for my son's grad package 2 months ago and I have still not received the items and when i email them they don't respond i'm still waiting and but i'm for sure going to tell my son's school to check on the company due to the company has horrible customer service they are an all around scam of a company i will be making a report to the better business about them asap and this company should be shut down for defrauding there customers "

Most unprofessional company ever!!!!!!

"I ordered a cap and gown for my child’s high school graduation over a month ago. They say it’ll be delivered to the school, I never heard anything. So I email them inquiring about it and they email back and say “Oh, check with the school. We left extras.” EXTRAS?? What about the one I PAID for specific to her height and weight?? I called the school and they said “Yeah, we have one for that height, but it’s an extra large.” A medium would be too big on her, let alone an extra large. Now here we are, a month after it’s paid for and a week before graduation and no cap and gown because they can’t deliver what you order, just leave around some “extras” and hope they fit. I have NEVER dealt with somewhere this unprofessional and LAZY before. To call myself angry would be an understatement. Do better HERFF JONES!!!! "

Not worth it

"I paid nearly $100 for 25 announcements-outrageous! I received someone else’s announcement-unacceptable! There is no glue in the back of the envelopes to seal them-unbelievable!!"

Don't buy- you will need to inspect your items THOROUGHLY!!!!

"1.-They sent me a cap and gown (doctoral gown) with wear n tear marks. I didn't notice until I had taken my pictures. By that time, my graduation was approaching and I didn't want to be without a gown. They told me I could not even receive a partial refund for the inconvenience.
2. Several of my classmates received the wrong gown!!!
3. You can rent on Amazon for cheaper and without the hassle.

2023 College Grad Announcements

"I placed an order for graduation announcements on 4/3/23 for a graduation that will occur on 5/13/23. The website was fairly easy to navigate and gave you the opportunity to see a preview of the announcement before purchasing. I didn't look at the reviews until after I paid and was immediately concerned based on the poor reviews and lack of customer support. However, based on the timeline that was given on the website, I received my announcements on 4/21/23, 14 business days from when I submitted the order. The "order status" was static during the majority of the processing time as "in progress", which is also a little scary, but updated when it "shipped" and was "delivered". While the card stock isn't as thick as a Shutterfly announcement, for example, it was perfect for what I needed. It also included the University seal and a pencil-drawn illustration of the university landmark.
I think there is definitely lead time needed for printing announcements especially if you're ordering late with the majority of graduations happening in the May/June timeframe. Definitely order at least 1.5 to 2 months ahead of when you need them.

TERRIBLE!!!

"I ordered the biggest package for my daughter. She moved out of state and I specified and talked to a representative and told them it needs to be shipped. They said they would do that, they did not. I go to the high school to pick up my daughters package. They give me a cap and gown, that’s all they had! Go back weeks later, they give me a few things, said they would mail the rest. Got a package from them today with thank cards, that’s it, still not my complete order! Still don’t have my daughters full order! HerrJones ****! Get a new company to work with…absolutely ridiculous!"

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

"I would give them zero starts if I could. Shipment finally arrived, the print on the announcements is so tiny you would need a magnifying glass to read it! The package was also missing cap, gown and stole (that extra $50.00 item). Spoke to someone who tried there best either was new or not versed in the products. Promises items will arrive prior to graduation which is on 5/5!!!!"

Best customer service

"I ordered graduation notices or my daughter. Everything was in the box except for the envelopes That evening, I emailed them letting them know. First thing the next morning, I got an email apologizing and saying they would immediately send them out, which they did. I was very impressed with the quick response...if only ever company was like this!"

"I was fired on December 19th cuz they said I pointed out and I had 22 points I don't know where the 25 came from three of those points I don't know where they got them from but I couldn't prove it because they locked me out of my payroll information"

"Absolutely worst service I have ever encountered. Mistake was made ( on their part) on engraving and called no less than 10 times and sent at least 6 emails with no response till today . Their response - no longer covered under their warranty . "

Graduation Announcments

"What a miserable experience! I don't undertand why such a simple order and box should take that long to ship. I placed my order on/about March 3rd (when credit card was charged.) My announcements arrived after I had already left on vacation... AFTER April 6th... more than a FULL MONTH after they were ordered... which prohibited me from getting my announcements out until after the graduation ceremony was already passed. In addition... Wow! What an ugly, plain pathetic looking announcement. What a ridiculous amount of money for such a lame looking announcement. I spent $262 on 25 announcments and a cap and gown! REALLY? Highway robbery. At least if they are going to charge me a fortune, the least they can do is provide an annoucement that doesn't look like my 3rd grader printed it. The text and font choices were incredibly plain and very generic looking. If I'd known this is actually what I'd be getting, I would have printed my own or ordered them through a separate site. A college degree is a big accomplishment. The graduation announcement should have at least a feel of professionalism and class. What a disappointment. I was embarassed to send them out. My son's high school annoucement was much more polished, sophisticated, and classy looking than this miserable piece. What a waste of money. Look closely before you purchase. You'll probably want to save yourself a ton of money and print your own."

Overpriced Cap n Gown never shipped, money never refunded. HORRIBLE is an understatement!

"My son ordered his cap and gown on April 4th from this company as instructed by his University. $113.34 is pretty pricey for a cap and gown, but that's what they charged for it. We went through his 05/26/22 college graduation without it. Repeated attempts to reach this company prior to graduation were impossible, my son held to infinity each time. I've personally called 3 times in attempt to get this issue resolved and still nothing. On the 1st call, (06/06/22) they gave me a case #145992 and promised a full refund and agreed to send the stole and cords that would have come with the gown (free of charge). Ten days go by with no refund or package so I call again on 06/16/22 and was told by a guy named Eugene it's "pending with our accounting department, and both pckg and refund will go out soon". A week later and still nothing. I waited on hold for at least 25 minutes only to have someone pick up the phone, then hang up. How is this company able to trick so many colleges to do business with them? This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! "

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible

"Ordered announcements for my sons May 18, 2022 graduation in FEBRUARY. He graduated last week and NEVER got his announcements. No response to my multiple calls and emails, No heads up that they were going to be late, Nothing! I even got the schools assistant principal involved who reached them and I was told they'd contact me by the end of the day about a refund. That was over a week ago and still NO call. They dont care that these kids have worked so hard to make it to these graduations and they deserve better. This is the worst company ever. I will WARN everybody about their service and the possibility of never getting what you order. If you order in Nashville TN your representatives will be completely non responsive. And I will not stop calling, emailing and writing reviews until I get my money back and an apology for making my sons graduation experience less than perfect. "

Horrible Service; Terrible shipping times with no clarity

"I had a graduation ceremony at the college level on May 13, 2022 and I placed an order for my cap and gown early in April. My cap and gown actually arrived in a fairly quick turnaround time (only around a week from ordering to delivery) which was lucky compared to the experiences of other students. However, they sent me the incorrect tassel and when I tried to rectify the issue two weeks before my ceremony when I discovered that my tassel was not for the right school, it took being on hold for 3 hours to speak to a customer service rep and they said the tassel would be shipped ASAP and would arrive within the next week or early the week after. My tassel in fact did not arrive on time, I am unsure of it the tassel was even shipped at all as herff Jones sent no shipping notification of the correct tassel. I had to get a tassel on my campus because my ordered tassel did not arrive at all and I have already moved out of my apartment at school and live far away, so I’m unable to check the mail at my old apartment. What sets things beyond unacceptable is within the graduation order for the cap and gown, I also ordered a package of announcements and related products. I only found out today that the order was being shipped when I placed the order on 4/5, meaning it took over a month and a half to get the announcement package shipped and who knows when the package will even be delivered. For how massive herff Jones is in graduation services and products, I found my experience with them to be confusing and unclear with severe delays on products without any communication to the consumer. The big cherry on top is for much of their academic clients, I imagine herff Jones does massive contracts and agreements with partner schools or universities, so I did not even have another choice to go anywhere else for the products I requested. Overall, my herff Jones experience extremely dampened and made my graduation and final university experience far more stressful and burdening, and if possible, I would highly recommend going elsewhere for gradation products."

Absolutely Atrocious

"I placed my order on February 23rd and never received it. After reaching out to the rep assigned to the school, he finally responded with, FedEx doesn't ship to PO Boxes. The day I placed the order, that wasn't mentioned. Usually, the order form will not let you continue unless you give a physical address. The order form states, will ship to the address you provided. So, the rep asked for my address. I never heard anything else from Barry. To make it even worse, they begin shipping to our bookstore. If you can ship to the bookstore, surely you can ship to the homes if the individuals who ordered. It's stressful enough to get to the point of graduation and to find out you're going to be piecing together cap and gowns is absolutely absurd. Luckily, I found my MBA regalia, purchased a 2022 ($9) tassel to match the classmates that did receive their regalia, and purchased a $50+ hood that wasn't the greatest match. To top it off. I sat on hold over 3.5 hours (took 3 naps) before speaking to a rep, only to be told she would need to get someone on another level to call me the next day because she was the only one in the office and didn't have the authority to refund my new card. I asked if she could just send a check because my old card was compromised and I didn't think a payment could be refunded to a different card. She said someone would reach out the next day. Well the next day arrived. There was no call or email. I reached out. I received an email from Autumn apologizing.........
. What a horrible experience. Herff Jones you've been in business long enough to know when you're not going to meet demand. I'm pretty sure you have business analyst, supply chain experts, and any other experts that knew this wasn't going to be successful before I was able to place my order in February. This was a very frustrating and uneasy experience. In the end, I received a full refund and graduated with a smile.
