Terrible service and company

"This company loves to rob people, attention to gamers, STOP BUYING FROM GAMESTOP. I just left the spring valley location trying to return a brand new game within the timeframe of the return policy. When i get to the location, the saleswoman gave me a nasty attitude and refused to let me return my item saying that she cant return it because it was open. Meanwhile the reciept says ANY OPEN OR UNOPEN NEW MERCHANDISE CAN BE RETURNED FROM UP TO 30 days. clearly gamestop does not abide by their word. She then continued to say all she can do is trade it in... she offered $13 for a game i purchased $30 for!!!!! Will no longer purchase any MERCHANDISE,GES,CONSOLES FROM GAMESTOP AGAIN. im tired of gamestop taking my money"

failing to purchase a game during black Friday

"I tried to purchase a game (FIFA 18 for ps4) during black Friday. The site returned an error. Called them. Waited on the line for more then an hour. The guy said that they ran out of copies. He couldn't explain why the item was still available for sale and not displayed as sold out (This was the situation even during the day after). I pointed out that this was very misleading. He wrote my email down and said that I will be compensated once the game is back on stock.
I asked them how will the compensation work. They said to place an order and they will refund me. There was a problem with their site. I contacted them, and they said that they will not honor the price. I argued, they said that they will honor the price. There was a problem paying with a credit card or pay-pal. I contacted pay-pal, they said that everything was OK from their end. Returned to gamestop, they said that cannot accept pay-pal's suggestions for solving the problem and that now they will not honor the price.
Bottom line: You cannot trust them. Take your business elsewhere.

Not the best deal!

"I called GameStop to see if they would price match on game that was on sale at Best Buy and Target for $39.99 (ARK). They said no they don’t price match and the game is $59.99. So I purchased my game at Target for $39.99 plus some extra games and other item. I spent way more than $39.99. I guess GameStop thinks that people don’t care about saving money or getting the best deal. So if your looking for the best deals don’t rely on GameStop because other places might have it cheaper. Don’t get me started on GameStop buying back items. They will pay you $5 but sell it for $45. How about we just say Stop going to GameStop. "

GameStop selling FAKE games and don't want you to know!

"GameStop is selling COUNTERFEIT copies of the Pokemon HeartGold game. Yes, used counterfeit HeartGold games that go for $15 on Ebay, they are trying to rip off unaware customers for $60. Not only do pirated games hurt the gaming industry, but also the games don't work properly. When I asked for a refund, they asked me to return the item, which probably means they are going to put the fake copy back into circulation and fool someone else. Additionally, I wrote a negative, honest review on their website and they did NOT publish it. Obviously they don't want people to know the truth. I will be informing Nintendo too what they are doing. GameStop is the last place I'd expect selling fake games. Don't let them fool you!!"

Horrible experience

"I had a horrible experience with GameStop their descriptions and their bios about their items are completely misleading and when when their things stop working they take no responsibility for it and will not give you your money back or help you, convenience you in any way possible ,even after misleading you. I purchase a Playstation 2 slim from GameStop and in the description I was told that this item was in great condition, and it stopped working before I even had it a year and they would not take responsibility for anything."

WORST EVER

"I honestly don't know how this store is still in business. I had an issue with a return and called online customer service. They did not know how to help me and it was very clear that they had no idea what they were saying to me. I had to dispute the charges on my credit card and lets see how long it takes to get my money back. In addition, when i went to return in the store everyone was so rude and disgusting i do not know how this store still exists. It is the absolute worst. I would give it no stars if that was an option."

BAD STORE OVERALL

"I dont know whay it took me 6 years to realize how bad gamestop is. Their deals are terrible, their pro rewards isnt worth it, their return policy is bull ****. I can go to walmart and buy new games and if i dont like it i can get my cash back. At gamestop they have so many policies that beat around the pushes and basically steal ur cash. This store is terrible never shopping there again"

Very Bad Customer Service

"I made an online order more than 3 weeks ago, and nothing has happened. I emailed them 3 days ago, and have only gotten an automated reply. If they didn't have retail stores, this would be an obvious scam, but it just looks like they are totally incompetent."
