Won't be shopping here anymore

"I ordered the Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart bundle and a $50 gift card on Wednesday's black Friday deal on the Gamestop website. I have a confiration number saying that I would get it. My order was cancelled 4 days later without warning. I missed out ordering it elsewhere for that price and I miss out on the gift card too. I contacted customer service and they offered no solution. I reported them to Better Business Bureau and they still didn't help me. Bad service. If there was a problem with my order, why not contact me so that I can resolve it and get my item? My guess is there were too many orders placed so they cancelled some orders. I won't shop there anymore. They ruined Christmas.

Horrible

"I wish I could give 0 stars. Such a horrible piece of business. If guys cannot handle web business, you should close it. In this generation, if I have to wait for 2 hours to contact a customer service, that is ridiculous. Really regret doing business with them. Should have got my order from other retail. "

Worst online service in my life.

"I placed a order cyber Monday for a gaming system. There was a issue with my zip code for payment, i called next day and completed the transaction per the rep. I realized that i hadnt been charged for the purchase so i have tried to contact game stop since Wednesday of last week. I have called and requested call backs and recieved a call back was on hold for 25 minutes recieved another call back call so had 2 lines on hold with game stop one for 43 minutes the other for 23 minutes before i hung up. I have emailed 4 times with no responce i have called again today and sat on hold for 35 minutes only for the music to stop playing and the phone to be disconnected and all the while my order says processing. But was told it was processed and would be shipped with in 24 hours that was a week ago tomorrow. Compleatly disgusted with this pathetic show of customer service lack of training and disorganize. Will never make another purchase from game stop i dont care if it cost me double. "

Worst experience with a retailer ever! They should just close up shop of this is how they conduct business.

"Worst experience with retailer ever. Purchased an XBox One S bundle pack and a game for my son and was supposed to receive a $50 GC as part of the deal. Received the console and game but no GC. Never received an email with a code for a GC Either. I called customer service and they were experiencing a high call volume and said they would have someone call me back when it was my turn. The NEXT DAY I missed their callback. So I had to call again and was told again that I would have to have them call me back. Finally got a call back and was told that they could give me a GC number to take into the store and that the store could give me a GC using that number. This evening I went into a store and was told by the associate that he couldn't help me because they failed to provide me with a pin code for the GC. I called again and was told again that they had a high call volume and that they would call me back. An hour later I received a call from an automated system telling me I was the next person in Queue. After being on hold for 28 mins I hung up. This is unacceptable and their level of Customer service is horrible. "

Worst Cyber Monday

"Can I give them a half star instead? I placed an order for a Nintendo Swith plus a $50 gift card. The next day they cancelled my order. I called customer service and waited for nearly 3 hours and never heard from anyone. Save your money, shop somewhere else. GameStop has a horrible customer service system."

DON’T EVER COME HERE

"I went to game stop to do a trade with a perfectly working Nintendo switch that I had tested prior to walking in. Then the lady working pushes the controller nothing happens (because it was in perfect condition) she then pushed it again and breaks it and says it is disfunctional and gives me less than half the price of trade value for it. I will never in my life step foot in such a scam of a store. "

Terrible delivery times

"I went to a store on the street date of my game and was told to wait 2 to 3 hours for the delivery to come, and went off to another store to be told the same thing. It was a game I really looked forward to and the company let me down hard."

Customer service

"I went to the Game Stop close to my house and when I walked in with my head set the guy behind the counter did not want to wait on me. He said "this is going to be fun" in a very sarcastic voice. He looked up my account and couldn't find anything about the purchase. He gasped again and said he has to call customer service and I it saying " this is going to be fun in that sarcastic voice. He acted like I took him away from a fun game and had to actually do something. Like I was a nuisance. He made me feel bad. I think he needs training on customer service. As I was walking out he said he could print me out a receipt after all this time he kept asking me if I had a receipt. Bad customer service."

Like the local store, hate its online retail

"Pre ordered Gloomhaven online a month and a half in advance, since the game is hard to come buy. When the date arrives, it gets pushed back multiple times without any reason. Finally go to call after a 45 minute wait and I'm told that they somehow sold out. I get it if I pre ordered a week before but it was a month and a half ahead and they never once sent an email for an explanation. Now I have to wait months again before I can try to get it again. I'll wait to see if they get more in stock but if I can get it elsewhere, I will and wont be using their online store again. "

Just to let you know

"I ordered Cod b02 on the 3rd of June, it is the 15th of june and today it tells me that i have to wait another 4-7 days, I can tell you that the wait here is ridiculous and unreasonable. The wait is not worth the money. And i would say that in general that delivery from gamestop is diabolical and you will regret it!"

Sell games claiming to be Windows 10 compatible that are not.

"Bought GTA V based on the Gamestop site saying it is compatible with Windows 10 64 bit version. It is not! You have to have Windows Media Player installed to start the game and Windows Media Player is not available for Windows 10. Customer service said "too bad, so sad, we aren't refunding the money.""

Worst customer service and not trustful!

"I had placed an order on Tuesday with an overnight shipping. They told me it would be shipped out that night. Checked the next morning, it still has not been shipped yet so I called the customer service. He explained to me that it takes a day to process so they will ship out that night. This morning I checked the status, and it STILL has not been shipped out yet. Out of frustration, I called the customer service AGAIN and they told me they do not know where the merchandise is and why it has not been shipped out. Spoke to the manager and he told me that he will call me back. I kept asking and begging him to cancel my order since it has not been shipped out yet but he kept telling me there's nothing he can do right now. In conclusion, he did call me back and told me something I cannot understand at all. He told me that my item is packaged in a box and ready to go but UPS will not pick up? I asked him that makes no sense and if there are no other orders that UPS come to pick up. He said that UPS does come everyday to pick up other merchandise but cannot pick up mine... This was word for word. I didn't even want to deal with it so he cancelled my order (even before I confirmed it btw). I am assuming that they did not have the order in stock and kept dragging it for days and then he couldn't admit that so he made up some excuse to why UPS won't pick up only my box (lol) and then cancelled it. "

Make sure it works!

"I have no problem with GameStop no problem I love football im a big fan i wanted to get madden 17 again because that's my favorite year I went to the GameStop on Cheyenne and rainbow, all I want to say make sure the games your sellng work because it **** me off knowing I payed for a game that didn't work check the ****, it has scratches on the top and **** system always saying disc cannot be read. All I gotta say level up GameStop."
