"GadgetGone is one of the very few absolutely trustworthy phone buyers and sellers out there. I have purchased from them three times, and most recently, I completed a sale. They paid out exactly what I expected/was quoted, and paid within the same day that they notified me the inspection was complete. They've been backlogged recently, but the owner communicated this several times, and didn't sugarcoat it. I know, based on my dealings with them, that they can be trusted, and so in this particular case, all that was required was a bit of patience on my part. "I sent in a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, perfect condition. Along with a Samsung Galaxy S9. They offered $76, which seemed low but fair, as the S9 had quite a bit of damage to the front screen.

GadgetGone changed their offer to $12. I refused and asked them to return my phones, as that was one of their options.

They sent both phones back turned on through the mail (MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD!!)

AND the worst part is now, all of a sudden, BOTH cameras screens are cracked. So if you refuse their crappy offer and want your phone back, they're gonna make sure you can't sell it anywhere else."

"Sent in a phone that I thought was in mint condition. There were no scratches, and the phone worked fine. The quote for an iPhone 8 Plus in flawless condition was $211. It wasn’t flawless. GadgetGone said the vibrate feature was not functioning properly which is a sign of a worn out motor. That’s possible. My disappointment is the offer dropped by 66% or $140. That seems like a lot for a part that sells for under $10 retail and should take under an hour to be replaced.

I also was disappointed that they advertised a two day turnaround when I got quote. The actual turnaround was 12 business days (21 calendar days.) To be fair, the delay was from COVID staffing issues but anticipated delays weren’t on their site when I got the quote. "

I was sent a shipping label and instructions, about a week after shipping they informed me the package had arrived and would take a few more days to process. I received payment via paypal. The entire process took a little less than 2 weeks. I would have given 5 stars however, the paypal payment needed to be verified a few times from gadget gone. Apparently your money will be placed on hold in your paypal account till they verify with paypal they received your items. I had to reach out to gadget gone to get this resolved. "So the daughter accidentally dropped our 12.9" iPad on day and not only broke the screen so that it spiderwebbed all the way down one side of the screen, but also managed to drop it on the corner where the power button was, which resulted in it not quite working properly. The iPad surprisingly still functioned, but because of the little broken bits of glass, we figured we'd be best off getting it repaired. The Apple Store told us that it would be more expensive to repair it than to buy a new one, and helpfully offered to take the broken iPad to recycle it (free of charge, of course) while a third party fix it store quoted us about half of the cost of the iPad to fix it with a "we may or may not be able to fix the power button".

Conceding defeat, I decided to see if I could anything for this iPad and was surprised to find that Gadget Gone would not only pay for this sad iPad, but made the whole process very simple and easy. After inputting the info about the iPad, the condition it was in, and getting a quote, I was given a prepaid mailing label to print so I could send it in. I followed all the instructions to erase all the data on my device, packaged it as recommended, and dropped it off at UPS. It took about a week for GadgetGone to assess the iPad and send me a payment for the iPad. I was shocked that I actually received more money than initially quoted. The payment was given to me via Amazon gift card, although uou can choose to have payment via PayPal as well. Overall, it was really easy to send everything in and payment was received much faster than I anticipated. The next time we have broken phone, computer, or tablet, I'll definitely be checking Gadget Gone before recycling or throwing my stuff away."

"Sold them two iPhones and each time they found a reason for paying less than advertised. The first time they tried to reduce the condition of my phone from flawless to good. When I complained, they relented. The second time they said there was a problem with the proximity sensor (there wasn't). Their offer was reduced from $32 down to $7. When I fussed and suggested they simply return my phone, they increased their offer to $15. Rather than prolong the dispute (they had my phone), I accepted. I am suspicious they always find a reason to lower the initial offer. Can't prove it, but it happened twice to me."
