Amazing service

"I was a little nervous about buying from Essential Hardware after reading some negative reviews, but my experience was amazing. I ordered on a Monday evening and had my complete order delivered by UPS on Thursday afternoon. The order was all there and in good shape. I was amazed because the website says give 48 hours for processing and the free shipping was UPS ground 5-7 days. I received emails with updates through the whole process. On top of all of this, I saved over a hundred dollars by not shopping at one of the big box stores for the exact same porch screening supplies. I will definitely use Essential Hardware in the future!"

Make sure you are not returning it

"I bought a 39.00 article. Cost me 8.95 to ship it to me. So many online stores have free shipping. Not Essential Hardware for this amt. Box never opened. Cost me 16.00 to return it as they offer no specials as others do. Back Country has a flat 6.99 charge and many offer free returns. Then they have the nerve to take a 15% restocking fee. Now I am out 30.80 for an article that was 39.00 that I no longer have. I tried to voice this concern, response...This is our policy. I will never buy from them and will tell others of my experience."

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD Do not buy from this company!!!

"On 19th ordered 1000.00 Solid Surface Surround. Paid 300.00 for 2 day shipping. We had hurricane damage so I rushed to get the plumber in that week and flew my husband to Florida for the weekend to install. The surround never came. I called every day to get tracking and they said "I understand your frustration, but we are checking on it" It is now the 27th and my husband is flying in again this weekend to install they lied again. They took my money and I am trying to get it back. Read the other reviews. Do not take a chance like I did and get stuck. It sounds like a phone scam line from Middle East. Should have known better!!!!"

I'm trying to get a refund for an item I returned and received by them.

"I purchase a 35 feet havoc set line. when I received it I realized I should of ordered the 7/8" instead of the 3/4". I followed their instructions to return the item. they received it. its been a month and no refund, just excuses....iam. sorries. r.

AWFUL, UNFORTUNATELY INCOMPETENT!

"Ordered 3 different pairs of Safety Glasses, received a PARTIAL ORDER 8,8,10 of 36,36,36 easy math right minus the number gives you the remainder. Not for them, I have been told to call Postal Service for MISSING ORDER (WHAT THE INVOICE SAYS WHAT WAS SHIPPED, NOTHING MISSING). Then I got an RMA# for return??????? I want what I purchased, I just want full order... Then complaint closed!!!!! WHAT IM MISSING ITEMS, AND MONEY.... NOW I'M told they don't understand. OMG Today will be day 6.

Great prices, IF YOU GET WHAT ORDERED? Perfect example of getting what you paid for...

Horrible Customer Service

"Bought a "custom" ready to build swing and slide set. When I received the package it was nothing but the swings, chains for the swings, and some brackets. I returned the item due to it not being what it was described. They offer a 30 day, no questions asked, guaranteed return. I had to pay $53 to ship it back to them, and then I only received a partial refund. When I called them to ask why, they said they keep a portion of the restocking fee, then pointed out that on the website, in tiny letters, it says that the lumber and slide do not come with this set. They apparently like to rip off their customers."

They cancelled my order and did not notify me!

"I don't know what kind of business this company is running but DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Called them 3 days after delivery due date to find out my order was cancelled and reported as fraud. WHAT?!?! They said they couldn't reach me to confirm the order which is a LIE - they called and asked me a million questions and i confirmed everything and they told me I would get my purchase in 3-4 days. Mind you, they charged me $183 for OVERNIGHT delivery. I still confirmed it and got cancelled without notice. Also, they called at 6am!! NEVER ordering from them again. "

Worst Company Ever

"Ordered item and never got it because they did not include my apartment number and the USPS returned it to them because it was undeliverable as addressed. I called Essential hardware about 4 times and they said they would send me a replacement item. When I called them on August 07 2017and told them the USPS had returned the it to them on August 02, they said they would send me a replacement. Today is August 26 2017 and I still have not received my order."

DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS

"I ordered an item on the Essential Hardware website and received what I ordered, however, it was the wrong size and did not fit my sink. I was not told that you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to return something. I used the enclosed shipping label that THEY provided and returned the item. The postage cost me $12.50 (have of what the item cost!) I called Essential Hardware and was basically told too bad!!! They have a set way of returning an item and I was told it was my problem and that they were NOT GONG TO REFUND THE POSTAGE. I will never do business with this company again and advise others to do the same. There are a lot of other companies out there that care about keeping customers and making sure they are happy. Like the saying goes, "The customer is always right" - but Essential Hardware has a different theory. "

"Hello all,

Would love to warn you about shopping here. i scoped out my project, listed items and began to buy them. I placed an order here 15hrs ago and was unable to change, cancel, or do anything to it.

I am just shocked out **** they are as a company and their customer service is. I work at an industrial/commercial distributor, you can change an order to the minute it ships out the door. My order moved to the warehouse and after i couldnt do a thing about it.

WTF...?? Never encountered such a place
