Utterly Incompetent

"Have to wonder if these people actually want to sell products online. The database they use to verify shipping and billing addresses is screwed up, so that it keeps changing the zip code on the credit cart billing address, meaning that the charge is rejected. Trying to get their customer service folks to understand the situation, let alone do something about it was frustrating to the point where I gave up, after spending a couple hours on the phone and explaining the situation over and over again. Being told several times "well, just use a different billing address" just shows that their customer service people have no understanding of how credit card verification works. Fortunately, after I gave up on them, I found a better price at another vendor and closed the transaction with zero problems."

essential hardware stinks!

"Cabinets supposed to arrive on 29th. Did not even ship until 30th, but tracking # was bad. No one knew where the package was for a week. I told them to cancel order, they said they could not once it "shipped" - though they could not be certain that it actually shipped. It finally arrived on 8th, improperly packaged, and with damage to the cabinets. Too late, by a week, to install for my new tenants. I cannot get anyone to commit to removing the packages from my property and refunding my $. I have disputed the charges with credit card company and filed complaint w BBB. This is a terrible company - avoid them like the clap."

Do not purchase anything from this company.

"Items arrived broken in a poorly packed cardboard box. I had to battle with them for over a month to get my money back. They never refunded my money. I am out $400. Do not purchase from them."

Horrible horrible horrible

"They sent me the wrong item and I called everyday but nobody could give me a straight answer. They wouldn't issue me a return or my money back until I called amex after 3 weeks of runaround. As soon as they heard about a chargeback they finally emailed me for a resolution. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISASTER IF A COMPANY. WARNING. "

they want to go out of business

"entered an order online, they wait and then say they have to "confirm" the order by calling me at work and asking me for the same shipping address i entered on the order. i call them back when i can and now the order wont be sent out on time so i ask them to wait to send it out so someone will be there to receive it. they are supposed to call back with this ridiculous time-waste but of course they dont, so i call them a week later and they say they canceled the order. order it again. so now not only is it ridiculously late, but now my item is no longer in stock. HORRIBLE experience. "

"One HORRIBLE for every lie to told me. Long and short of it, I paid extra for two day shipping. Four days later and still not shipped. Called them three times and all they want to talk about is my expectations. They say if I paid for overnight I'd already have it. Slimy switch on the old bait and switch with a shot at an upsell as a bonus. All their reviews are ones and fives. Guess which ones come from their employees? Steer clear. By far the worst company I've dealt with in 30 years of online shopping."

Terrible Customer Service

"Placed a order with them and they called me the next day to confirm the order and after several days I went online to check the status and it said cancelled.... they took my money confirmed my order then cancelled?? I contacted them and they told me they were out of stock, and I asked them why they did not contact me or why they let me order something they did not have and she decided to explain how they do business (made no sense) and then told me she e-mailed me....no record even in junk mail... live and learn."

AWFUL

"I purchased a shower kit. It came with only 2 walls (no base or doors). I tried calling EH to purchase base and doors in addition but they could only accept a return (my $$$ to ship) and send me a full kit with walls, doors and a base. The company they purchased it from (MAAX) was unresponsive about the product and doesn't carry this model/sku on their website. This has been a nightmare and it wouldn't be an issue if EH actually cared what their customers were going through. The kit could be separated on their end to just send me the doors and base but instead I'm struggling and paying way more than expected."

I am NOT happy!

"I ordered some items. They say nothing.....by the earliest shipping date it isnt sent. I write in and they tell me it will be here by the 30th..so I wait and it is not here and not even sent. I write again asking where my items are. They cancel the order saying that they can't ship them due to some state and federal thing. If that was the case the order would have been flagged as soon as I put it in and they would have cancelled that day or the next. This is just an excuse for bad service. I'll never shop here again...my time is valuable too and it was wasted waiting around for these things I need that never came."

Unreliable. They sent me a faulty produce and would not resolve the issue.

"My name is Matthew Melkesian. I am a business owner. In fact, I run four companies. I work in the B2B as well as the B2C environment daily, and I have never had a worse experience with a company, and I am writing this review to PROTECT consumers.

I ordered a $1355.00 drain cleaner for my mobile home park on septic tanks. I was not on site to receive the inventory, so one of my employees did it for me. Upon inspection of the inventory, one tire had a chip in it, and the other had a puncture from the fork of a fork lift.

This is a heavy duty piece of equipment, and now my employees cannot wheel it around.

I have tried to make contact with customer support four times, and they either said that they would get back to me (the day after I placed the order), or my calls were dropped in the middle of trying to reach support.

Additionally, I forgot my password (or my login credentials are being declined intentionally) for their website. I have tried to submit a request to recover my password, and the form has not gone through to either of my emails.

To make matters worse, I have heard laughter on the end of the line a couple of different times that I have called. I am all about a relaxed corporate culture where employees are free to work as they please and resolve immediate family issues that are distracting from work, but when I heard the laughter, it felt as if they were laughing at the customers that they were not supporting.

This is an UNRELIABLE INTERNET COMPANY!

AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I am disgusted by the service, and I am going to write this duplicate review on every review site that I can find, because I do not want another person to go through what I have been going through with this company.

Great Customer Service

"I made a large purchase (Over $1000) and I needed help with installation. They directed me to a local handyman in my area and gave me an average price range to make sure that I wasn't getting ripped off. They really took care of me and treated me like a VIP. They are now my go-to hardware store."

"Take your business elsewhere. Ended up spending 30 dollars just to return an item. Refund to forever to get and I probably would have never received it if I didn't call them everyday for a week. You've been warned, I wish I was. "
