"Horrible!!! For the 2nd year in a row, I have ordered a costume 3 weeks before Halloween that I was told was in-stock and that I got charged for only to be notified 1 week before Halloween that the item was not in stock. This year in fact, I received some stupified excuse that they thought squiggly pig costume for my 2 year old daughter was in stock on Oct. 9th when I ordered it, but the box came in and it was empty, WTF! An empty box delivered to you and you did nothing about it, nor did you contact me two weeks ago when you realized this. So once again I am forced to change the costume for my child just a couple of days before Halloween. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL TRY TO WRITE BAD REVIEWS EVERYWHERE I CAN!!!!!! And I better get my money back with no problems or else!"

"worst company ever! I ordered my costume on the 9th, it was guarunteed here by the 18th. we are now working on the 21st! and i originally emailed them on the 11th bc the site said my order was delivered on the tenth and fulfilled. um say what? excuse me? how can i order on a sunday evening and it be delivered to my house the next day? so they said it was a mix up and i would have it no later than the 18th. i wish i read the rest of the reviews first... im seriously doubting i will get my costume before halloween."

"I sure wish I had done some review research before ordering through this company. I have had the same issue with this company that many have had. I ordered my daughter and husband's costumes on the 6th of October. After 10 days I had not received it, and called customer service. I talked to a "manager" who told me that the item had not even been shipped yet... and then assured me that my package would then be shipped next day.

My package did not show. I called back and conveniently the "manager" I spoke to was not there, but then they proceeded to blame this manager for what he told me and then tell me my ONLY options are to refuse the "sent package" that I am scheduled to now receive on the 25th... or I can be reimbursed $2.95 for a "shipping cost"?! This is a terrible company to do business with. BEWARE!!!! My little girl has missed a costume party because of them, and not to mention I haven't even received the costumes yet...Please Please beware.

"I am a first time customer to Costume Craze. My debit card was declined because the billing info was wrong. If I hadn't logged on to check the status of my order I would have never know. I was told they just needed to change my billing info and when they did I had (2) pending transactions for the same amount in which one posted and the other is still pending. Kept checking the online status of my order and since Oct 17 it said it was still sitting in the warehouse. Contacted their reps on the online chat, very freakin' RUDE. Out of 10 reps only 1 of them apologized for the confusion and took the time to make things right. One of the idiots told me my costume would be delivered within 6-10 business days and she didn't guarantee it would be here before Halloween, I could not make any changes and if I was not happy simply return the order. I checked the status this morning and my order is out for delivery."

"The rudest, most unhelpful people in the business...I ordered from Costume Craze if you want customer service, don't go to them they are the worst company I ever dealt with they may be cheap but they don't explain their shipping at all, them when you want to upgrade they tell you, you can't, I tried to cancel my order and they told me I couldn't, all I could do is not accept the package...they absolutely SUCK!!!! Meanwhile, they have my money and won't refund it until they get the package back...they have you between a rock and a hard place...if you want good service, DON'T SHOP THERE!!!!

"NEVER AGAIN!! I really wish I had read up on reviews for Costume Craze before I ordered from them. I placed my order in AUGUST, here it is October 18th!!!! Still hasn't even shipped!! I will be on a plane for the Halloween Event in 3 days, WITHOUT my costume accessories! WORST EXPERIENCE!!!"

"What a terrible experience. I ordered a penguin costume for my son on 10/4. On 10/13 I still hadn't received it, even though the website claimed "the packing list was printed on 10/5". I sent an email inquiring and received an email back saying the order had been processed and would arrive soon. On 10/17 I called and SPENT AN HOUR on the phone only to find out the costume was defective and wouldn't be sent. I now have little choice but to pay 50% MORE for a different penguin costume.

This is deceptive advertising. If the original costume really was defective, then why is it still advertised on the site? Why did they send me an email claiming it would be sent out? If I hadn't called this never would have been explained to me.

Worst customer service I've received in a long time. I'd give them zero stars if I could.

"Absolute WORST online shopping experience EVER. Purchased 2 costumes, took almost 2 weeks to receive them - in crumpled, terrible condition. One costume was clearly worn and returned and was shipped to me with a 4"x6" hole in the FRONT and another in the side. Called 7+ times, no answer, no callbacks after leaving messages, no email response at all. When I did finally reach a live person (after selecting the option to complete a new order, of course), she was RUDE, had terrible grammer and sounded like she was 12, putting me on hold 5 times and saying "um...I'm not sure" more times than I could count. In all, they expected ME to pay return shipping to send back their defective item, shell out another $60 for a replacement, pay ANOTHER round of shipping to recieve this item, and wait at least 3 weeks for a refund on the first. Absolute nightmare - there's a reason this site is less expensive than the rest. They sacrifice professionalism for a few dollars that are definitely NOT worth the headache. Steer clear - after years of Halloween fun, I'd recommend Forplay, or virtually ANY other retailer."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! HAD TO RETURN A COSTUME THAT DIDNT FIT RIGHT, WAIT FOREVER TO GET A CREDIT BACK AND THEN THEY DO NOT REFUND THE SHIPPING BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP BACK! "I REALLY wish I read these reviews before I purchased off this website . I don't understand how this place is still in business . They have the lowest prices with the WORST absolute worst customer service and customer policies . I ordered an item and they gave me a item that was in there words "similuar" which really was just Horribly ugly and disgusting . NOTHING like the description. There chat agent was the absolute WORST customer service agent I have ever come across with responses like "YUPP" . The supervisor was even worse he sounded like a robot .The gave me a half hearted apology but did nothing to correct there companies errors . Clearly they are a bunch of idiots who work there . Theyre website seemed well put together . But beware the fine print going up on the costume's picture , says "actual item may vary " or something like that . Which means they can send you whatever the hell they want and if you don't like it its your problem . Tottally deceitful and dishonest . They turned a happy fun family exsperience into a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE ..."

"Horrible service. I ordered two costumes from their site about two weeks ago. One costume was a preorder and the other was in stock. I recently called to check the status, and was told that they do not have either costumes and will not be getting any from their vendors. I would of appreciated it if they would have sent a notification when they became aware of this, to have given us time to have other options. I am now searching other sites and they are sold out as well."

"NOT HAPPY! I have bought from this company a few times with no problem. Until this last time! They sent me out a dog costume in Small...took a while, finally got it. When I got it I opened it up and it was HUGE!!! I called and did the live chat and they say it's not their problem and wont take it back since it is a dog costume! Shouldn't the customer be happy? All I want is another costume, but they said I would have to purchase another one."

"Horrible customer service. I ordered almost $300 worth of products from them. I selected UPS for my shipping method since I live in AK and we are not serviced by USPS in some areas. For example, MY HOUSE. I even called them before I ordered to double check this shipping method. They decided to take it upon themselves to change my shipping method without asking me. I got an email telling me my order was shipped USPS. I tried calling to have the shipping changed but I was too late. They already shipped it. 3 weeks before Halloween. This was not good. Their suggestion was to lay out another $300 for a duplicate order because once the undeliverable order was returned to them it would take up to 3 weeks to process the return and get it shipped out again. No thanks. I called USPS to try to intercept the order. Hopefully I'll have some luck and get mine and my 3 friends costumes in time for Halloween. If I lay out another $300 it sure won't be with them. Never again. And now reading some of these other reviews, I hope we get whole costumes anyway. Guess we'll see."
