"I had already selected the chair mats I wanted, shopped around town and could not find them. I found Capitol Supply in my search - and I'm glad I did. Easy to search, prices were lower than other office supply stores. Order process was simple and delivery time was as expected. "I am extremely disappointed in this company. After searching several times I decided to purchase my mother a Christmas gift from Capitol Supply. It showed it was in stock and I received an email confirming the order and checking the status. Five days later I was told the order was no longer in stock and that it was discontinued. When I checked the website it was still showing on the site as in stock. I ended up purchasing it on eBay."

"Bad Experience!

On black friday wanted to get Veer 4G. Found it pretty cheap at 2 places. Decided to get it from Capitol Supply. Placed my order.

4 days later - Capitol Supply informing me that they have canceled my order because they discontinued this item. So now I can't buy Veer 4G from another store coz they had Black Friday deal and now it's back to they normal $$$, and Capitol Supply canceled my order. URL with Capitol Supply product is still accessible for order (even from google shopping).

"Buyer beware!!!!

These guys are total liars, be mindful of your purchase.
Now I am a computer-geek and I have been a buyer for hundreds of products over the internet and have never bothered to write a review about any merchant. So this should tell you something about how annoyed I am.

I placed an order for an internal harddrive (western digital caviar black manufacturer code: WD1502FAEX) on November 4, 2011 from these people and using their online coupons, I was also eligible for a discount of $10 at check out, and using this, after taxes I paid over $100 for this item. I ALWAYS check the merchants inventory before buying an item, so I called and confirmed the availibilty and made sure they had these on their inventory (they had 3). Within the SAME MINUTE I placed the order for the item. Withn a couple of minutes, I called them again for my wife. She also needed one and I told her the price was good so we decided to buy a second one. I called them again, asked MADE SURE that they still have more of these CONFIRMED that they had 2 more and I went forward and bought a second one, online still WITHIN THE SAME MINUTE of the confirmation. So far so good. So I got their e-mail response and went on and bought a 2 bay NAS storge from Amazon from Synology ds211, knowing that they had these in their inventory and I purchased the compatible hard drives.

Next day I checked their web site and saw that there was STILL 1 of these left. I thought about buying that one in case one of the hard drives I bought might be dysfunctional as hard drive failures are common if not properly shipped. I decided not to proceed in the end.

3 days after purchase I received this e-mail:
"Please be advised that the item (Internal Hard Drive) relating to the above referenced order number it’s on backorder with no ETA date and unfortunately we do not offer a suitable replacement at this time. This order will be closed. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Respectfully,
Christian Hernandez"

I called the person immediately, and told him that he is not telling the truth as I checked their inventory and confirmed the presence of the hard drives BEFORE and AFTER the purchase TWICE before the purchase and their phone records would confirm it. After a couple of minutes of discussion he had to confess this: "WELL THE PRICES OF THESE HARDDRIVES HAS GONE UP %200 SINCE YOU HAVE BOUGHT THESE ITEMS SO WE CAN NOT SELL THEM TO YOU AT YOUR PURCHASE PRICE"

How convenient is that. Well kudos to him, at least he was honest! I told him that this is incomprehensible and they can'tt do this also citing the issue that based on the purchase I made further purchases from other vendors.

He connected me to his supervisor, don’t know her name but she was just a miserable liar, and I told her that. She initially told me that the items were in back order. I told her even at the moment of our discussion their web site (which uses REAL TIME INVENTORY TRACKING) STILL shows that there are 2 items in their inventory (probably the ones I bought) and what she is telling me was a lie as I double checked their inventory BEFORE and AFTER my puchases (VIA CALLING THE COMPANY). Even as of now I am writing this complaint they still have them in their stock for sure, but they will not honor current offers due to low advertised price. In summary she continued to lie and tried to find some alternative explanations but in the end I told her "Look you are lying to me, we both know the reason that you are not selling me these items is the simple fact that: over the course of past 3 days the price has increased for these on the market and you are not shipping these for the Harddrives for this reason and this reason only". Of course she could not respond. I told her to CANCEL my orders and send my money back. I also told her, based on this purchase I bought a NAS drive from Amazon (I can send you the purchase invoice if you wish) and now I have to cancel that order. In summary they cost me 3 days and a lot of headaches. None of these of course she could respond.

There you go, this is the whole story about my experience with this company, so if you want to proceed be aware that your purchase price may increase EVEN 3 DAYS AFTER you buy your item with this dishonest merchant!


So long Capitol Supply, you will never ever see any body around me as your customer! And all of this will only make you get only $30 or more for your items. What a shame!


Note: The sales rep JON now responds confirming that they will not honor their past advertised price confirming all of the above as I said.

By the way the floods were NOT in Taiwan but Thailand so there you go (the quoted reason).

In essence this merchant is not honest, will not honor their advertised price as long as they can entertain a higher price, if they can find a "higher offer" so as to speak.
