" was directed to this site through rightbuydigital.com when I was looking for a Nikon S60 digital camera. This site came up as the lowest price, so I ordered the camera and received an email the next day stating that I had to call the 1-800 number to verify my order. When I called, I sat on hold for about 20 mins, and when the phone was finally answered, I began to state the reason for my call to the representative, and he just placed me on hold and transferred me mid-sentence. The guy I eventually got told me that the camera came with no battery and that had to buy one of their 89.00 dollar batteries for the camera to work. I asked them to cancel the order and I returned to the site only to find that it stated in writing that the camera did come with a battery and charger. I called back to reinstated my order because I was misinformed by the previous representative. The guy that I had previously spoke to said that he was mistaken about the battery after I informed him that I researched the site and saw that a battery was provided. He then decided to tell me that the camera did come with a battery, but it was only an 8 min. battery! Who the hell provides an 8 min. battery as a standard battery for their electronics? I knew he was lying, so I asked him t reinstate my order and I would provide my own battery. He told me they would reinstate the order and just set the phone down and left me there. After about 10 mins. of listening to the representative talk to his coworkers while ignoring me on the other end, I hung up and called back. I immediately asked for a supervisor when the next rep answered, and he refused to give one to me. He told me that I deserved to be hung up on because I was yelling. He then told me that he was a supervisor and that he would not do anything for me. I asked to speak to another representative, and he refused to comply. He threatened that if I continued to call back he would make sure that he would be the only one to receive my calls so that I couldn't get ahold of any other representative in the call center. They are appauling and rude. This is the most unprofessional site I have ever encountered. Please do yourself a favor and do not give this company your business."

"THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

I ordered a Canon SD790 and got the email the next day about needing to call them. The order plainly says that it comes with the battery, cables, SD card, etc. I got the biggest NY Bronx jerk on the phone named Kenny that then tried to tell me that I had to pay $69 to get all of that stuff on top of what I paid. I told him to get lost that it was included in my order. We went back and forth with him saying that he didn't understand why I was mad. I told him to cancel my order and I was calling AMEX to make sure they canceled my charge. I also told him I was going to trash his seller rating. He said, "Relax. You're order is canceled."

Kenny, if you are reading this, I hope you get what is coming to you and find some jail time for this entrapment.

"After placing my order I received emails and a phone call saying that I must contact them in order to confirm the order. The rep said: 1) it would cost an additional $99 to get the battery and USB cable that was clearly labeled "included in kit" on the website, and 2) there was a 6 week back order though the website said the shipment would go out in 2 days. When I asked why there was a $99 extra charge he ignored the question and would not provide any information. Nor would he explain the change from 2 day turn around to 6 weeks. He simply said the order would be canceled even without me requesting that. Moreover, his idea of "customer service" was telling me that I had a problem for asking questions about discrepancies between their website and his phone call. I'M NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE."

I find your customer service abhorrent! You actually CALLED me to sell me more stuff and NEVER mentioned that there was a two week backorder on this product, leaving me in the position of not having this for my upcoming trip. If I had bought your addons, would you have shipped my orders?

"Ordered a Zumo 550 GPS system because they had a good price posted. Got an e-mail stating I needed to call to confirm and the salesman stated the system would not work unless I purchased some overpriced accessories. He was very pushy on an extended warrenty which I did not want. I did agree on some of the accessories because I wanted the thing to work. After about an hour, I decided to call their customer service and wanted to cancel the order. He stated he would then charge me 50$ for a cancelation fee! I felt I now was stuck so I agreed on the sale. He did throw in a hard case which I felt was fair until I got the merchandise yesterday. For a 5 lb box shipped from NY to WI, these guys charged me $60!!. Avoid this company at all costs."

"It looks like you can add my scenario to the list. I have been looking for a Canon EOS 40D for a couple of months, I have been keeping my eye on the price because Canon is coming out with the 50D. so they had the camera listed for way under market value (thought it was too good to be true). I got the order # promptly and a couple of day after that I got an email to call and confirm the order. At this point I figured that I would receive the bait and switch or how many accessories could they sell me to make up the difference. That was exactly it, a battery for 4 times the price and a charger for 4 times the price as well. I politely refused the offers. 2 days later I got the same email as many others have received after they have refused there over priced accessories. "We regret to inform you that by the time your order reached the shipping process, our inventory on the product(s) you ordered was negative, therefore your order will be placed on a temporary backorder until we receive the product(s) back again in stock which will be in about 3-4 weeks". So was very displeased why the sales men didn’t tell me it was out of stock when he tried to sell me all of the accessories to go along with the camera. I proceeded to call customer service and ask why they still have the Canon EOS 40D for sale on the web site. No one was willing to help out, I was hung up on with customer service 3 times, then another 2 before I was able to speak to John the Manager. He was the worst he tried to pull the old Shyster routine and tell me it was my fault that I was trying to run his business, all I wanted to know if the camera will actually be sent if I wait 3-4 weeks? he could not answer that question and proceeded to hang up on me. I’m not sure if my order is stilling being processed or if he just went ahead and cancel like he wanted to."

"i tried to simply by a Canon Powershot SX10 IS,, i got the " please call to confirm your address for proper shipping " B.S letter.. seems i can buy a $2000 laptop, and not get a phone call, but try to by a $300 camera without $1000 in crappy accessories, and someone is gonna make you call them up for the HARD sell pitch.

I got that, i was hit with the " you didnt order the extended 2hr or 4hr battery pack with that camera", i said i didnt want anything BUT the camera. salesman said "OK" and hung up... no really, that was it,, just said OK and hung up on me. few days later i got this, and this is from the letter they sent me "We regret to inform you that by the time your order reached the shipping
process, our inventory on the product(s) you ordered was negative, therefore
your order will be placed on a temporary backorder until we receive the
product(s) back again in stock which will be in about 3-4 weeks.:"".....
their exact words...Seems they dont have a SINGLE solitary one in stock. I called them, as another buyer, and simply asked about the same camera, said i was interested in it, I asked SPECIFICALLY was it IN STOCK... the salesman refused to answer me directly, and kept after me about accessories, batteries, I kept saying I wanted to know if it was IN stock, so i wouldnt have to wait for it, he would ONLY go so far as to say " I would have to check, but I believe it is"..

ONLINE speak for " I didnt say it was for SURE in stock, so I can get away with lying to you". I of course didnt place an order again.

these are the typical bait and switch artists, who if they cant sell you some ridiculously overpriced battery or filter, like every other one of these moronic low price camera places in NY, then you will NEVER get your order. trust me, I have actually waited 2 mos, JUST like I was told, and tried to get a camera 07/08., from fall to spring, and they refused to send me the camera. I filed a complaint with NY AG, he didnt do a damn thing...

dont bother with this outfit, not even with a coupon, or credit or anything. not worth the electronic ink to email them, you WONT get your item without 3-400% marked up crap to go along with it,,

"FRAUD!!!! beware, they ONLY try to get your business with a low price camera, and just like everyone else said that when they email you ta "call and confirm your order" and you dont want to purcase ulta expensive batteries or memory cards they cancel you out. not to mention the rudeness of the phone answerer. truly a dissatisfied customer. i am contacting the better business bureau."

"Do not buy from these crooks. Ordered a camera at a great price,$229, and they tried to sell me 4 rechargeable batteries and charger for $170. The camera uses 4 regular AA batteries. That would bring the price to $399. When I told them I could get it cheaper then $399 they were happy to cancel the order. "

"Do not do business with these folks. Dishonest operation. Try to force unnecessary accessories, warranties, etc. on you, and if you say no, they lie about it not being a US product (contrary to website) and not being in stock (contrary to website), and of course happily cancel order when you aren't willing to wait indefinitely for it to "arrive." This is a scam. Shop elsewhere."

"i cancelled my order...had same BS experience with rude person trying to sell me accessories I did not need.. takes CC info first too. They are a total scam! I tried other sites with similar deals...same thing...same company. If you order on line (canaon g10), they will not ship it...ask for you to call and "verify order" and if you don't buy anything else...you will get message that it's on backorder for 3-4 weeks...total BS!!"

"Camera Giants AKA 86th Street Camera is a total scam. I made the mistake of ordering a Canon G10 from them because it was the cheapest I could find anywhere. A few days later, you get an email requiring you to phone in to verify your information. Then they try to force you to buy extra batteries or something. Finally, after waiting several more days, they tell you the camera is out of stock and won't be available for 3-4 weeks. These guys are an ABSOLUTE SCAM. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM CAMERA GIANTS aka 86TH STREET CAMERA."

"I ordered on line with 3-5 day delivery service. Their prices were much lower than most other sellers.
I got an email 2 days later asking me to call them to confirm my order.
I was told I could not get the order with 3-5 day shipping unless I order a more expensive package. (I was ordering 2 digital cameras)
The customer service was extremely poor.
The representative tried selling me several other different products (accessories), convincing me that I needed them because the once that come with the camera are not good enough.
It ended with my canceling my order and him hanging up on me.
I did receive an email canceling my order shortly after.
