"This place is a total scam. I wish someone would put them out of business. They post the lowest price available and then force you to order ridiculously priced batteries, chargers and accessories that are 10 times what others charge. In the end, you ultimately pay more for the camera. When I told them I only wanted the camera, all of a sudden they were out of stock and could not fill my order. So, I called and asked when they expected to receive more cameras so they could ship my order. They told me "next year" and hung up on me. Do not do business with this group. They are completely unethical."
"Camera Giants Inc. had the Canon Powershot SD1200 for about $100 less than any other merchant. I was a little suspicious but ordered. They ask for your home and business phone number on the online order form.
While commuting home that evening, Camera Giants called both numbers. I returned the call from home. They wanted to "verify" my order. They also wanted me to buy a normal Canon battery for another $99.00. I asked them why, since the Canon battery that comes with the camera is very good. Evidently, they switch the manufacturer's battery with one of less quality that lasts for only 20 minutes. I screamed at them and the guy immediately canceled the order. A cancellation email flashed up in a matter of seconds before I even hung up the phone. It seems like the guy was ready for my unhappy response.
Do not do business with these scam artists."
"I tried to buy a Garmin Nuvi 885t for price of 349.00.
Got the standard email saying to call them. I called and was asked if I wanted a home charger kit for 149.99. I said no and the price was reduced. Each no reduced the price another 10 dollars until they gave up. Then they tried to sell me a 1 gig memory card for 149.99. This item retails in local stores for like 15 dollars... I said no and then was told that I could expect my item in around 2-3 weeks. I said that I paid for the 3-5 day shipping. The response was that the item was now on backorder for 3-4 weeks.
They basically pushed me into cancelling my order, which they seemed happy about.
Total scam, don't buy from them. They won't sell to you unless you buy upgrades or accessories at 10 times the retail cost to go along with your order."
"Wow! I could not believe the price they posted for the Sony High Def Hard Drive Camcorder (XR200V). Looked To Good To Be True ($348 delivered, versus 850 retail!). Really looking forward with playing with my new toy. Received email this morning to contact Brian ***-***-**** Ext. 202) wondering why I was only buying the camcorder only, without any of the packages posted? Tells me the Camcorder comes with NOTHING, just a starter battery and no Recharger, and that he can hook me up with a great package for $1100! I said that was higher than the 4 packages posted on their website. Those only have the low-quality lenses, not high def. I said just send me the Camcorder now and I might consider a package later. He said that they do not sell the Camcorder only, and that the cheapest package he could sell me was $999. Told him to cancel my order. This company is a waste of time."

"Yep... I ordered a HD camcorder for a scam of a price. Then came here and saw. So being one that enjoys the tet a tet I called and was told it comes with a 20 miniute battery I said great I only need it for youtube for 5 miniute videos. Then he said it fails after being used twice. LOL. I said that's fine then I'll call sony because it is under 1 year warranty. Then he tells me it will be 3-5 weeks because it is backordered. "Complete ripoff company. I wish I'd researched before dealing with them. I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 765T listed on their website for $305. Next day I get an email wanting me to call and "confirm" my order (?? what the crap, I ordered ONE item!). I get Brian at 1-***-***-**** ext, 202. He proceeds to try and sell me on the fact that I need accessories that bring my total to $700 in order to use the unit. I said NO and told him to just send me the unit for $305. He proceeds to tell me it is useless without the SD card (bunk!) and I again ask him "What's it to you if it's useless, just send me the unit!" He refused and threatened to charge me $150 cancellation fee and send it to collections. I told him to do whatever he felt like but I would report fraud, and eventually I was able to cancel my order. I got an email confirming so. This company will be reported to the state atty. general and the BBB. Companies like this should not be allowed to exist and/or do business. They are not doing Garmin, Canon (or other brands they try and scam folks with) any favors either."
"Placed an order for a Garmin 265wt GPS. A voice mail was left on my phone to call them to verify my information prior to shipment. He didn't verify any personal information, he proceeded to try to sell me a memory card and case for $149. When I refused, he started getting argumentative and said "you have to buy a memory card or it wont work". I refused again and he lowered the price to $89. I refused the memory card again he said "enjoy your GPS" and hung up on me. Five minutes later my account said it was on backorder. I canceled my order."
"These guys are all scammers. I called before I place my order for a Canon Digital Rebel xSi (EOS-450D), 12.2 Megapixel, SLR, Digital Camera w/ 18-55mm IS Lens Kit. Market price is around $700 and these guys showing $299 on the website. I asked when I called "will this price include all accesorries" and he said "yes", then I asked "in stock?" and he said "this price is no longer available" and I asked "what is the real price then?"....they hunged up!!! These people are sick! Why our market still allow these kind of companies hanging around??? "

The next day I got an email asking me to call and confirm my order. I did and was harrased about buying a battery and SD cards. I finally convinced him I just wanted the camera, and he told me to enjoy it. After I hung-up I checked the site and my account, I found the camera was now on backorder. I called again and asked what was going on on and got the run around that the camera was not the American model, and the American model would cost $399.99. I said no thank you and hung up. "I ordered Sony DCR-SR87 camcorder for $255 (less the battery and charger) from Camera Giants. That was great as my camcorder had died, leaving me with 1 used and 1 brand new battery, and a charger. I specifically ordered this camcorder because I knew I could use same batteries in it. Well, my order did not post online so I called them 10 minutes later. The rep confirmed the order but then says I need to purchase a battery and charger for $150, something I have seen for about $40-50. I told him I already had batteries and a charger. He tells me, that's funny, your just buying the camera but you already have batteries and charger", and he hangs up! After not seeing my order online, and no e-mail confirmation, I called the next day (4/29), from the same phone. After 10 minutes of hold time, someone clicked in and right back out. After another 5 minutes on hold, I hung up. The next day (4/30)I called from a different phone, and funny, I got through immediately. I confirmed the order with this rep, and he tells me that the order is on a 2 week backorder. I told him to cancel the order, which he claims he did, and that he would send me an e-mail to confirm the cancellation. Of course, I never got the e-mail, so I called back (5/1) and Peter confirms that my order was on a 2 week back order. I told hm that I had cancelled that order yesterday. He blamed it on the "other" rep that he had not cancelled the order, and he gives me a cancellation number (CN115703-W), and says that he would send out an e-mail confirmation.
Monday morning (5/4)came and I still had no cancellation e-mail, so I called Mastercard and simply cancelled my card, since they could not do anything until CG actually charged my account. I did not want deal with it any longer, so for me, cancelling my charge card was the easiest thing to do. Stay away from these dishonest companies. A quick check with the BBB or a website like sellerratings would have steered me clear of them from the start. I must remember to always check feedback first. So now that I was releived that they could not make any charges against me, I purchased the camcorder on E-bay for the going rate of $350, complete with battery, charger, S&H."
"Order Canon SX-10 on Monday via website. Checked site Wednesday, no indication that camera had been shipped. Called and spoke with Peter. Asked when merchandise would ship and he responded by trying to sell me batteries and charger. Told him I didn't need any. Then it was a memory card. Told him I didn't need that either, so he then tries to sell me a starter kit for an additional $200. When I told him I didn't need that either, he hung up without every answering my question about when the item would ship. Checked site later and item was on backorder, so I cancelled order. These people are CROOKS! "
"Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 755T at what appeared a very good price. When I called to ask when it would be shipped, the service person said I did not order an SD card to go in the GPS, it was going to cost another $100+. The unit comes with memory and the SD card is really only for other stuff, music, books, additional maps, etc. but is not necessary for the unit to operate although that is what he tried to tell me. When he couldn't sell me the SD card, then he tried to sell me a car charger for $119+ which is insane. I refused that and then he told me my item would be shipped in 2-3 weeks. The advertise 1-2 business days, I guess that's only if you order all the extra junk. When I said what happened to the 1-2 buisness days, he then said it was on back order. On-line clearly states it is in stock, he said it is being updated as we speak - yeah right! Unless you plan to spend a couple of hundred extra - stay clear!"
"Seems like the standard operating procedure for this company is to be "Scam-Artist". I placed and order for a Garmin NUVI 255W as I found they had the best price on the internet. My order went in without a hitch. They called me that night 3 times but I was not available. "William" said for me to call him back to "confirm" my order. I called and William procedded to tell me that the unit was "useless" without an SD Card. I told him I didn't think I needed it and didn't want it. He said sarcastically, "Want are you going to do with a GPS that doesn't work. You have to have this SD Card to make it work." I told him again I didn't need or want an the Card. He said he would make me a deal by throwing in a carrying case if I bought the SD Card for $99. I admit I made my voice sound firmer the next time I told him I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING ELSE WITH MY ORDER. JUST THE GPS UNIT. He came back at me with, "Don't raise your voice to me or I'll hang up!" So I prcedded to hang up on him and immediately cancelled my order via e-mail. They said via e-mail my order was cancelled and my personal information was deleted from their system. I just hoping now that this is the end of it. Whatever you do DON'T buy from these Shisters! It's a shame nothing can be done about them with as many complaints as have come against them."
