"I also was a victim of the this business. However, contacting the better business Bureau does little or nothing. They have no lawenforcement powers. If you want legal action brought against them you must fill a complaint with the federal trade commission at http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/business.htm If enough complaints are filed then an investigation will be conducted.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE GUYS!!! VERY RUDE, USE BAIT & SWITCH TACTIC.

I ordered the Fuji S3 from their website. I recieved mail telling me to call to confirm the order. I called and left message and no one call back so I called again. Finally spoke to a sale person, he pulled up the order and asked me if I wanted to get the battery, straps, and the charger with it? He stated that the camera does not come with all those. So, I told him I just wanted the camera with no accessories, he told me it would take 6-8 weeks to ship the camera to me and hung up. I called back and cacelled the order and got hung up again. Take your own risk with these guys, but I highly recommend that you don't to through the hassle. Don't be fool by their low advertised price, that's just a bait for you to bite.

"Buyer BEWARE!!! I ordered a camera from CCI online and received a confirmation email. After a week or so, I checked my order status online to see if the camera had shipped. The computer status said "This order has been cancelled". I thought it must be a quirk so I placed another order online and again received a confirmation. When I called to find out when the shipping date would be, I was informed that the item was backordered and they would ship when they had it. I explained that I had two orders out there (one open and one cancelled). Supervisor, Peter Sullivan was a real jerk and told me that the order was only cancelled pending delivery and that they would be shipping two cameras when they were in stock. I asked why he would do that when CCI cancelled the initial order and he responded with yelling and cursing at me and demanding that I apologize for "my" attitude. This place may have the best pricing on the web but if you check their customer service you will see that they have by far the worst!!! Not a bargain!!!"

"Will see. Just called and talked to some one about my 5D I ordered on 8/23/06. Waiting around today for the camera. When I called to ask for a tracking number was informed that . If I wanted it in two days I had to buy the USA camera for an extra 700$, What the #@@!!$%% I was getting a Grey market? And it would take 4-5 weeks to receive it. With out a battery or softwear. Can I add that they were rude, and I am going to give you how much money?? So I CLX . hopefully the not so gentleman was telling me the truth when he said OK. Will see not I have to call my CC card. I want to ask how this company recieved 4 out 4 stars from Price Graber's rating list. After reading others problems this cant be??"

"I tried to order a Canon EOS 30D and a Sony HDR-HC3 along with an SLR lens and flash on Sunday. I figured what is the worst that can happen? I put up with a couple of hard sells and I don't get my stuff? My credit card will back me up, right? I called the next day after placing my order and confirmed prices and availability. Everything was in stock and the price I expected it to be. The guy tried to upsell me and I refused saying I already had everything I needed. I was told the order would ship the next day. So I called on Tuesday to confirm shipment. I was told the order shipped complete and I recieved a tracking number. When I looked up the tracking number, the box only weighed 1.5 pounds. My wife's lingerie order was 1.7 for crying out loud! I called again to confirm everything had shipped. I was told it shipped complete. I got the package on Wednesday. All I got was the flash. The receipt was for 60.00 more than the e-mail invoice and website price. This was listed as the cost of the item, there was not a separate line item for shipping. I called to find out where the rest of my stuff was. I was told my gray market items were backordered. But if I wanted to pay more, I could get the US version which was in stock.

I told him to cancel and told him I wanted to return the flash. He refused to give me an RMA. To make an already long story shorter, this guy actually claimed to be an attorney, he called me names, and even claimed the call was being recorded. I called my credit card company, there is nothing they can do even though I was charged more than I authorized. I was told I will have to work with the folks at CCI, as if that is possible. Expensive lesson learned. Never again will I try to cash in on a "deal" that seems too good to be true.

"Do not buy from this place. They use their low prices to bait you into placing an order and then tell you have to buy a battery and charger for an extra $200, because the camera does not bring one. The order was for a Nikon D50 with the 20mm-80mm lens, it was retailed for $379 plus shipping+tax. When I called to confirm the sales rep was not a rude one, but rather calm, but she tried to sell me the battery and charger, saying it was required with the camera, I told her to ship without that stuff, but she said it HAD to be sold with the $200 battery and charger. The total came out to $725, basically the same as any well-established store like J&R and Best Buy, I cancelled my order. Avoid this place! Those places located in Brooklyn, NY with their low prices are all the same, avoid all of them."

"I did not buy from this store. I canceled my order when I spoke to the person in person. Here's my thoughts.

1. I purchased a Canon A620 on their site. But changed my mind after reading all their ratings.

2. The person on the phone tried to steer me to a more expensive camera.

3. Their prices are low, BUT....it's for the camera body only. It does NOT include the sofware, cables, and all other acessories.

4. Some people may not care about the accessories, but just wanted to let all know that the prices are just for the camera. NOTHING else is included.

5. When you call customer service to cancel you order, the lady automatically transfer you to a "specialist" who WILL try to work you to buy buy buy.

6. He will say something like, go to best buy and comapre our prices.

I am glad I canceled my order.

"COMPLETE SCAM!!! Here's how it works: They lured me in with the lowest posted price on the internet for the CANON POWERSHOT A530. A few days later a gruff voiced man with an accent called to confirm my order and tried to upsell me with over-priced accessories that boosted the price far beyond even the brick and mortar retail price (rechargeable batteries, a fire wire, a carrying case, etc.) After I insisted on buying only what I had ordered and no more, he got rude and accused me of ordering the wrong item (the “European model.”) He told me he’d have to ship mine from overseas and that it would take at least 4 weeks. Then he told me he could ship one from his store that day for about $100 more. I asked him why they advertised something on the internet that they had no intention of selling and threatened to sue him for fraud but that didn’t seem to slow him down (I guess he’d heard it all before.) Sensing that something was terribly wrong, I searched Google for “CCI Camera” and found this website. I wish I’d come here first. I called back and told them to cancel the order, emailed to confirm the cancellation and then called my credit card company to prepare them for a dispute if CCI tries to run the charge. Then I ordered the camera from Amazon like I should have done in the first place. Next time I order anything from a new vendor, I’ll be sure to stop by this website first."

I live in Texas..obviously all my personal info have been tampered with! It seems this is a company operated at home or something...just take a look at their email address and you know what I mean. Rather than emailing me back, they called (right at a moment when I couldn't talk), and insisted I provide them with theinformation they needed. "DON'T BUY HERE!!!!! I ordered a Panasonic DXV 100B from CCI Camera City and was quoted a price of 2997.99. I called to confirm the order and they attempted to add on addition accessories plus an upgrade. I was told that this upgrade to a Panasonic DVC 30 would be better for what I was using the camera for. I told them the upgrade would be okay and the purchase was processed. Mind you the camera that I was going to purchase was more expensive then this "upgrade". I looked at the "upgraded" camera online and immediately called back and said I DO NOT want any upgrade, I want the camera that I had initially purchased. They said okay we will change it back. Upon reviewing my credit card statement I saw that I was charged 3,596.97. How could that be? My total price for the initial purchase was 2997.99 and if this so called "upgrade" which I had already stated that I did not want, was cheaper then my initial purchase where did the extra 598.98 come from. I called the company and tried to dispute it. A guy name "Peter" answered my call and I explained to him the situation. He continued to try to convince me that the Panasonic DVC30 was the camera that I wanted. WHAT THE HELL? How are you going to tell me what I WANT. He said just try it out and if you are completely dissatisfied we will issue you a full refund. I said I don't want to try it out. I'm not going to pay for shipping it back to New York. I live in Los Angeles. He said "don't worry, we will take care of you. If we need to refund it we will, just try it out and see if you like it" I said "I will deal with it when it gets hear." As soon as it arrived I didn't even open it. I told the post office to return to sender. I checked my credit card today to see if they had refunded the purchase and it said 3400.00. I called them immediately and asked why was the purchase not completely refunded? They said we took off for shipping. WHAT???? 196.97 for shipping that I originally paid 79.99 (I originally paid)and that you said that I "wouldn't have to worry about. I spoke to this same "Peter" who said that he never said that. "Why would I say that thats ludicrous. I can give you 50.00 back but thats it and if you keep complaining, you get nothing." I said "what, now I'm being lied to. I want my money back." He said "now you get nothing. I don't have time to deal with this." and hung up in my face. I attempted to call back but was put on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up and decided to dispute it with my credit card company. To my knowledge, this practice is something that is occurring regularly. After all of this happened I looked up the company reviews and every single one of them were VERY DISSATISFIED with their own story to tell. It turns out that this has been going on since 2001. Why are they still in business????"

"This business is a complete scam operation. I placed an order for a Panasonic DVX100b camera on their site. Two days later, nothing happened so I called them up. Basically they told me that this "item" was an international item and would take 21 business days to transfer. I laughed, and told them that's insane. I got the run around and was told to call back after several line switching. I, like many others, am very disappointed and wish I had checked this site before falling for their scam. I canceled my order and was met with INSULTS. This "supervisor" literally called me names. Said something about his grandma's underpants :| Anyways... I immediately called my bank and had my account CANCELED after bidding this... "fine" gentleman a blessed day."

"I ordered a camera on the internet – never shipped. I called and was told that the camera was back-ordered and did not know when it would be in stock. They tried to sell me another camera package in stock priced hundreds higher than the camera itself. Not wanting this product, the man became increasingly rude and hung up on me. I called back and talked to another man. He tried to sell me the same upgraded package, claiming that for all that I “have been through” he would lower the price. His price was the same as his co-worker’s in my previous call. I did not buy the package. This company has low prices on high demand items only to keep the items back-ordered indefinitely to allure customers in and convince them to purchase a package deal at a much higher price. I called again pretending to be a NEW customer. I asked if they had the same camera in stock, and he said, "YES! We have it in stock." Not knowing better, I’d have ordered it. I called back and tried to cancel my order. When I asked to make sure my credit card would not be charged, I was told that after an order is cancelled they “have no way of checking, since on cancellation, [my] information is completely wiped from the system." I found another unbeatable price at another online store with the exact same website layout, area codes, telephone prompts, and sales personnel. This one company is listed under several names, but each lists different prices for a single product. This business is dodgy and definitely in the gray zone for consumer purchases. I will never know if the camera I originally ordered would have ever come in. This business also heads up through a Jamaican company linked through their New York address(es). The names this company is listed as on the internet are as follows: CCI Cameracity, USA Photonation, Camera City, Royal Camera, TCS Camera, The Camera Source, Inc."
