"OH MY DEAR LORD!
We purchased some memory, $117 worth, on May 22nd, and it said it would ship in 2-3 business days. As of June 11th we hadn't seen anything. So we called them. And the fun began. They first said we put the order in one week ago, then they had no clue if the order was shipped or not. After 4 attempts to reach a manager, they actually called the president of our company to complain about us, saying WE were rude because we told them we would report them to Yahoo! Shops (because they're a Yahoo! Shop). Well, we weren't rude. We were stern and direct, but not rude. They kept saying "well what information do you want from us?" We would say "where is our memory?" Once, we said we'd like to just cancel the order, they said "fine" and hung up. These guys are incredibly incompetent and childish. When they were faced with a dissatisfied customer, they tried to get that customer in trouble rather than resolve the issue. In all of my dealings, I have never, in my life, even thought I'd encounter a company as poorly run and incredibly incompetent as these clowns. If it weren't for the fact that they scammed $117 out of us, it would be funny.

"I have been buying from buyaib.com for 2 years now, and I have finally have had my first horrific experience with them. I ordered micron pc2700 cas2 and i recieved pc2100 not that i coudl tell because of the heatsink (which of course if you remove you void the waranty). I had to turn down my bios to even get the thing to boot, let alone try running at cas2. I am very displeased. I had ordered so-dimm 256mb from then a few months before but it didnt work so i figured i had jsut gotten a bad piece that wasnt compatable w/ my laptop but it seems I was wrong... Again, the customer service really sucks, and I now understand about their shady busnisess practices. It's a shame it took me 2 years and $2,000 to realize this."

"This "business" is a joke-
Went to this site on advice from a friend, well needless to say... I ordered 2 items, one video card and one sdram. Got both in a timely manner, which I was impressed by, but then... The box they sent the items in was opened, which made me suspicious. I installed the ram and guess what, it didnt work. Well then I tried the card, again, it didnt work. The vid card was not the one I ordered, as I needed a certain AGP multipier, it was an Aopen item and I ordered an apollo. I returned both items, the ram for refund and the card for exchange. They should have paid for my shipping, since it was thier mistake on the card and the RAM was "suppose" to work on my motherboard (website states they pay return shipping if it doesnt work). I am very unhappy and will ALWAYS check here before buying other items.

"Ordered a single stick of PC100 128MB SDRAM for my sister's desktop. Arrived a few days later than expected, didn't ship until days after I placed the order, but my credit card was charged. I installed the memory, started the computer, and immediately got scrolling numbers, letters, etc.

"MEMORY ERROR"

I followed the RMA steps, mailed it back, and JUST NOW (almost a month later) got a credit, minus the 15% fee, of course (which somehow managed to be 27%!!). The order was $14, I received a credit of $10.20. I'm confused as to why they chose to take more than 15%, which is all they are legally entitled to. I'm thinking about calling my bank to dispute the original $14 just on principal! Looking at my order confirmation email, they include instructions on how to file for an RMA, and now reading the other reviews, I think this is because they knowingly send out bad memory just to make a few bucks.

I purchased some Kingston ValueRam from googlegear.com as I have in the past, and it works great.

Bottom line: It's NOT WORTH saving a few bucks for the headache of a) bad memory, b)returning bad memory, and c) getting reliable memory like you should in the first place.

Skip a few beers, drive thru, whatever to save a few bucks and buy from a reputable company!

"This company is based on pure fraud. If Yahoo! alows businesses like this to use their merchant program, I will no longer trust any of them.

originally ordered a total of three “PC3200” DIMMS from their site. On both orders I received PC2100 DIMMS. They would not clock near 400MHz as printed on the stickers placed on the DIMMs. I then RMA’d these orders.

Over a week after they got the return I received an email telling me that the original orders were cancelled. This was somewhat confusing since they were the first ones I placed. When I went to check the status of the new RMA orders they too were cancelled.

I called AIB to find out why they were cancelled and was greeted by a nameless man that spoke as quickly as humanly possible, and would not let me finish a sentence. He proceeded to tell me that I was "Lucky" to get the chips above 100MHz!!!! I told him that the ad was very deceptive, and I would be leaving negative feedback with resellerratings.com. He then told me he works for them, and that he "knows everything". I say "You know everything?" He replies "Yes" and hangs up on me.

I used to hold AIB in high regard. Now they have been reduced to fraud.

Just saw this site http://www.bigclassaction.com maybe we need to get this going.

"The most pitiful excuse for a retailer that I've encountered on the internet. The price listed on PriceWatch was $163 delivered for an ATI All in Wonder 8500DV original retail box. I went to the website and ordered a the retail box version of this card, the listed price came up higher than listed on PriceWatch, but, I put a notice in the comment section of the invoice "do not ship if the price is incorrect". The video card arrived and I was charged the higher price, even though right on the invoice was my aforementioed comment about the price. When I contacted the customer service department, I was told I ordered a retail version of the card and that is more expensive. No response to the fact that I explicitly told them not to ship if there was any descrepancy with the price"

"Wow, I've purchased hardware on-line from many a place, but I will definitely be sticking to those with a high Reseller Rating from now on. The gentleman who said buyaib may intentionally be sending out bad RAM sticks and just pocketing the 15% restocking fee may be onto something.

Oh, and to the law student who is about to graduate, I'm only finishing up my first year of law school, but if you need any help with your case against these people, let me know.

Anyway, like most others that have commented on buyaib, I was taken in by the low price of some RAM for my laptop. Again, like many others, it took two weeks to arrive and I got no reply to any of the E-Mails I sent inquiring about my order status (my order page still said "Will ship in 2-3 days" even after I got the RAM).

The first time I called them, I was told that my order must have shipped out the next day (my actual order number wasn't taken). The next time I called, they did take my order number, but basically gave me a run around, assuring me it would arrive the next day (did not happen).

The memory did arrive, though, the day I was going to have the credit card company stop payment. But, much to my shock, the memory did not work. Returned it for a refund. Four days after they received it back, I got credited. Less the 15% restocking fee on my DOA RAM stick, of course.

I am quite confident that they'll just mail it back out to the next person who orders that kind of memory, though. Don't let it be you!!

"I purchased a 512mb pc2700 stick of Micron DDR memory with a heat spreader. However, the memory would not run at pc2700 speeds. Upon furthur investigation it was found that the memory was actually only pc2100. I could see how this could be a mistake, but reading the experiences other people have had, its aparent that it is not. This dealer is deliberatly mis-labeling products for sale, and in doing so ripping off their customers, many times without them even knowing it. I hope that someone from the BBB investigates this company, be interesting to see what they find. I will NEVER do buisness with them again."

"I purchased 512MB/NOTEBOOK on 3/15/03 and received the DEFECTIVE PRODUCT 4 days later. When I repeatedly tried to call to get this problem taken care of I was told to call back later. When I tried to call back I was told yet again to call back later or conviently no one answered the phone. When I did get ahold of someone he told me the return process in which I needed to go through. I mailed back their product on 3/24/03 using the U.S.P.S cetified mail return receipt. After several days I tried to contact them by phone and email. The only response I received back from them was my replacement order was CANCELED!!!! On 4/3/01 I received a credit of $72.25 back to my visa card. My original purchase price was $103.40 and that is not even including what it cost me to send back their defective product. On 4/7/03 I tried yet again to contact BUYAIB and after 1 1/2 hours, I finally got through to someone who was rude and wanted me to read their return policy. I did read it and which it states " The lesser of 15% or $100 will be charged for returned DOA items, which AIB determines to be “No Trouble Found.”. When the woman realized that I was not a push over she then said " Seems like it is your f*ckin problem now." And then hung up on me!!! My personal belief is this company is intentionaly sending out defective products, just to make their 15% off of the return items. BUYER BEWARE. I will never order from this company if that is what you want to call it ever again!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I was suprised by so many negative comments on this store. I've been buying memory and a few firewire & USB2 cards from them for several years now. They do ship USPS, but I've always received my orders in a timely fashion,

The memory doesn't always work nor is it compatible with every board I try it in, but the few times I have had to return memory replacements were shipped right away. Sure this is no New Egg, but I can't complain, given that they often have close to the lowest prices and don't use the common loball scam like most of the cheap CPU stores -- if you select USPS, they ship it and you get it!

"Customer Service is HORRIFIC...and Quality Assurance even worse. After my complaints and search for resolution to my issue, Customer Service said they could not help me. They actually refused to forward me to a manager...and did hang up on me. Not in retribution for me being belligeret to them...just my insisting that there must be some thing they could do. Their customer service people need to get paid more as they are a bitter crew. In both my experiences, it was the same representative and no matter what number I called or email I sent, it was the same guy. This is an 'Out-of-my-Garage' business...not professionals.

I have ordered from these amateurs twice...and I am batting 0-2.

First time my RAM was defective...PC2700 512MB DDR, Qty 3...one was defective.

Second time, 3 of the same previous item, (in hindsight, boy am I dumb)...these were NOT 512MB RAM, they were 256MB RAM. There was NO incompatibility issue...and the other same model RAM, I bought previously, IS recognized on my board. ??? I also tried this RAM on 'multiple' systems, only revealing 256MB each system...all 3 sticks. I did not want to remove the heatsink just yet, (warranty would be void), to reveal this mystery, as I have to send these back...and of course, I pay for shipping...again. Yeah, they advertise free shipping, but you end up paying for it anyway when, not if, you return THEIR mistake.

Last time...never again. I will head elsewhere and pay the extra money.

Ya get what ya pay for...

...and apparently I ordered bull****, because that is all I received.

If you DO buy from these idiots, give me a call...I have a bridge I want to sell ya.

"Purchased one stick of Samsung PC2700 512mb memory on the 21st of March and recieved it in the mail March 27th...not too bad for USPS shipping. The memory works great and came with a heat spreader pre-installed (nice job). A few days after I ordered I emailed AIB to find out if my memory was shipped and never got a reply. I think that was a bit unprofessional of them. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase...Not sure if I would do business with them again but only because of their customer service."

"I purchased a stick of generic 512mb DDR from them. It arrived around the end of the week (free shipping, arrived about 4 business days)...which is better than the quoted time of 7-14 business days.
Haven't had the need to contact service. website (as I recall) wasn't updated to reflect that the item had shipped, but the item arrived in a very timely fashion. Memory is (as far as I can tell) at least what was advertised (512mb, PC2100 DDR)...unsure of absolute stability with aggressive memory timings.
