"I purchased a 256mb DDR RAM chip from buyaib.com and it was Dead On Arrival (DOA). I tried the chip in 2 systems with the same results a DOA chip. I called the company and explained my situation and they had me fill out an online RMA. I shipped back the RAM and then called to confirm that I had recieved my refund. The only answer I could get out of them was yes I recieved a refund but they would not tell me how much. My credit card company told me the amount refunded and buyaib.com had charged me a 15% restocking fee for broken merchandise. I called customer service again and I was placed on hold for 30 minutes and transferred 3 times. I was then informed there is nothing they can do and that they tested the RAM and it was fine. The RAM was not fine and the company is trying to make a little money off of damaged parts. There are many other reputable sellers out there and I highly recommend using someone other than buyaib.com

"I purchased a 512 mg SODIMM PC2100 from Alpha International Business Inc. (www.buyaib.com) in mid July 2003, found thru Yahoo Shopping. On July 18, 2003 I was charged $77.99 on my credit card. The price included a $3.99 charge for "testing" the memory. The memory arrived on 8/14/2003. Although the packing slip indicated what I ordered, the memory module was an incompatible speed, (PC2700), and did not work with my laptop. After
emailing and calling, I finally obtained an RMA via their website and
returned the item for full credit, as described on their website. I was finally credited $66.30 to my credit card on 8/18/03. I was charged what
apparently was a restocking fee, even though they shipped the incorrect item and I had to ship the memory back at my expense. I have emailed them several times, attempted to call them for refund of full price(wait times are interminable) to no avail. I registered the problem with Yahoo Shopping 4 weeks ago and still have not had a response. I warn anyone contemplating a purchase form this company to beware. Even the money is not significant, it's the suggestion of shady business practices by this company.

"Do not buy from these guys. After several orders executed correctly, they send the wrong items (4 modules of PC2700 instead of the PC2100 ordered) and still take the 15% restocking fee, even if they made the mistake. When contacted directly they answered they cannot do otherwise. The policy is obviously open to turn into a scam: they send you the wrong stuff, you return it, and they keep a clean 15%. Awful customer service."

"I am warning that this company systematically practises fraudulent business. NEVER BUY THINGS FROM Buyaib.com!

I ordered a "micron or an equivalent major brand" DDR 333MHz module from this company, with a "free heatspread installed." What I received was a DDR 266MHz module, and the brand could not be confirmed becase the module is covered by a heatspread. It has a home-made sticker warning that removing the hearsink will void the warranty. I confirmed on multiple computers and they all detected DDR266, not 333.

Attempt to contact the company about the matter has not been successful, and a quick google search revealed MANY similar cases involving this company. Learning how much trouble other people went through in returning what they received and getting their refunds, I decided not to follow their paths. I know I will never be dealing with this company, Buyaib.com!

"Never buy from this merchant, I repeat NEVER. I placed an order after seeing their price listed on Pricewatch. On the website the price listed was higher than on Pricewatch and in the comments section of the order I wrote "If the price is different from that listed on Pricewatch - Do Not Send". The order arrived and I was charged the higher price, and printer on the invoice was my comment. I called several times and wrote several e-mails. Their response was that if I didn't like the price I shouldn't have ordered the item. Yahoo Stores no longer allows them to conduct business through their payment system as they do not respond to customer complaints. That by itself should tell about the company."

"Ordered two 256MB PC3200 DIMMs. Both began giving me numerous errors and faults, even when underclocked from 400MHz to 333MHz. Incomprehensible return system. Went back to Newegg.com and gladly payed more for RAM that wasn't overclocked junk. My system runs like a dream now."

"I purchased a video card here and was sent an email saying everything was ok. I noticed the next day my debit card was charged. Everything is perfect, well not quite, I later get an email saying the order was cancelled because of wrong address. I call bank and make sure address is correct then call buyaib.com and assure them address is correct. They tell me go reorder, well here trouble starts they charge me again and cancel order. This time when I call I am told that I used an out of country card, Geez! They tell me send a money order to correct problem, but I am already out of $400 that I am assured will be put back in. These are absolutely the rudest most unorganized group I have ever met. This is the first time I have ever taken time out to write about a company in my life. I hope I never have dealings with anyone like this again."

"I ordered a 2 port serial PCI card and received in about 1.5 weeks. The free shipping involved the original OEM box wrapped in a thin plastic bag, and shipped via 1st class! (no USPS priority or even delivery confirmation) Not only were no emails sent as notification of shipment after the order submission, but the product box was virtually crushed."

"Have had to place the order 3 times. It has been 60 days since the first order and 23 days since the third order and still no product. The website has many spelling errors and is poorly done, which should have been an indicator as to their level of professionalism. Calls to inquire about my order are forwarded several times and always ends up with the person who has the info. not being in the office. I've got to many things to worry about in my day to have to worry about whether or not my order is going to show up or not. On the off chance I get ahold of the person running things my order will be cancelled."

"I just want to warn every one about this company. It makes money from where you cannot imagine.

On Jul 8, I placed an order for memory chip at $69.95. They said the free shipping by USPS will take 2-3 weeks and cannot be tracked. On Jul 9, my credit card was charged. On Jul 14, I checked the order status and saw it was still "shipping in 2-3 days". I sent query and got response from Samantha Paladino , saying it was shipped on Jul 9.

On Jul 21, I got mail saying the order status was changed and found it was cancelled. I asked why and was told "Return to Sender on 07/21/2003
Reason: Attempted Not Known". As for the money, they charged me $10.5 for this return. I gave them correct address, paid money, got nothing and finally have to pay for mistakes made not by me, if it is not a deception.

They don't prove what they said or if they wrote wrong address for delivery, just telling me all returns should be charged. Another interesting thing is the memory price has risen for about $10 since I placed the order. Everyone can figure out rest part of the story.

"they ripped me off.... sold me 4 bad pc3200 512mb ram modules. i have been in the computer industry building computers more than half my life and never seen any company pull crap like this... how on Earth do you send someone 4 bad modules??? i can understand 1 but not 4!!!

Buyers beware... this company doesnt respond to phone calls very well... it took me 2 days and about 8 trys to get through and many hangups. They take their time responding to emails too...

"Buyers BEWARE

Placed two orders, one 128 MB chip for my notebook, and another 512MB chip for my desktop.

The supposed 128MB stick is a 64MB. I even tried it in another notebook, and same results, 64MB stick. Way to go AIB!! The memory was $25 and considering their return/refund policy, it is not worth it sending it back. I will be loosing money if I do.

The 512MB that I received was not compatible with my motherboard, although their website says it is. Called AIB and they suggested to send it for refund and to place another order for a name brand memory. I sent it back and I had to pay $5.60 for shipping, insurance, and delivery confirmation. Also their refund is a partial refund (less 15% of total price).

I followed their directions and ordered a name brand 512MB. Received it few days later but it was another brand 512MB stick, and still did not work with my computer. It was so bad that my desktop produced a constant high pitch beep after starting the computer. I was never able to boot the OS. They also advised to send back the second memory stick for a refund minus the 15%. This one I paid $6.50 sending it back, because it was insured for a higher price. I did not order a third memory stick because then I will be helping their business to grow since experience tells me that they are going to send me another bad one or the wrong one. Three strikes out of three opportunities.

Ended up going to CompUSA and purchased a name brand 512MB PC2100 for $44.95 after rebate, and they told me if for some reason it does not work with the desktop that they would exchange or refund full price (can not go wrong with that). Voilá, the memory I purchased has been working great since I put it on.

Here I am, paid for a 128MB stick and got a 64MB. They may or may not give me refunds for the two purchased 512MB sticks, and if they refund the money, it would be the price minus the 15%. How about those other charges when processing a refund, like testing memory $4.95, etc? Guys spend $20 more on hardware and get greater service anywhere else.

I have read some forums and a significant amount of unhappy customers have identified AIB’s technique for making money, and I just learned it the hard way. These buffoons are running a Mickey Mouse/Bubble Gum operation. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS EVER!!!
