"If you want to buy from a company that has A+ communication regarding your order, this is not your vendor! Their website looks 100% pro. Their prices & free shipping were the only reason I bought from them. Let me summarize first: false low prices, false in stock parts, they call after ordering to charge more, no order status communication, forces customer to call repeatedly for status, lousy phone system (caller #1 status = 25 min. on hold!) Details: 3 days after I bought online, they called me and said they had to charge more because of supplier changes! Strike one! All I bought were Hawk brake pads for a BMW & a oil canister opening tool. 4 weeks later, the order is not complete! So far I made 12 phone calls. Checking order status online does not work. You type in your # & get “no records found”! Their CS staff is friendly & promise to send emails of tracking info but never do. I got 3 promises from 3 diff reps. Linny or Lindy(female), Veronica & a male. Same outcome: No emails sent. I spent over 3 hours of total phone call time! I had to call 4 times to get an answer as to where the final part was. They finally said it was on back order. So that leads to another point: If the parts you want show as “available” on their website, it’s not 100% true. If you want to save $, if you are not in a hurry for your parts, if you want to gamble that they might call you & ask for more money & are patient enough to call repeatedly to find out where your order is, this is the vendor for you!!! Otherwise, I would recommend a more well-known, reputable vendor.
Edited June 3: I got my final part today! 5 weeks later! I feel like I won the freakin' loto for stuff I PAID FOR!! Now that that's over, Im NOT using Auto Parts Dealer ever again. Good luck to all other victims.

"Auto Parts Dealer sold me car parts (exhaust headers) that were cheaper than the other big name on-line sites and shipped them faster as well. I really appreciated the tracking system they use that allowed me to see exactly where my parts were and how long it would be before they were on my front door step. It's so much better than just seeing the word "Shipped" on an e-mail."

"Worst company I ever bought parts from and I have purchased parts through 15-20 different retailers in the past.Horrible customer service can not ever get someone on the phone. My order says pending shipping 5-5 it is 5-23 still have not heard any thing from them the one time I got someone on the phone they said it was suppose to ship out 5-16 never did have not heard anything now they are closed on 5-23 when it is not a holiday and it says call back mon- friday during business hours I have called numerous times can not get a hold of any one.Keep looking the couple dollars you might save is not worth it.I still do not have my $300 part I need for my car that I paid for 3 weeks ago "

"I purchased a fan from http://www.autopartsdealer.com/ on 05/16/2011. The entire process was quick and painless, shipping was free, shipping was fast, I ordered the fan Monday and it was here by Friday, all the way from PA to AZ. "Horrible. Order confirmation email said the part would ship in 4-7 days, but after 14 days, part had not shipped. I had to call 3 times and wait on hold for over 1 hour until I spoke to someone. Then they said the part would probably be at least three more weeks (thanks for letting me know!). Then when I said I'd like to cancel the order, I had to be transferred to another operator (the original operator didn't have the 'authority'). I waited on hold for 30min before I was disconnected. I'm still trying to call back, but having no luck"

"unable to trace my order. no one can answer my question as to where is my order. Kept getting put on hold and no one picked up. The menu doesn't work. Mail box is always full for every dept. I have been trying to get a status for 45 min know I'm 20 mins. trying to cancel. Next is to have my credit card company take care of it. Worst service ever. I just went from caller #1 to caller #2. Email inquires take 1-2 days"

"I am very disappointed with my experience of shopping at Auto Parts Dealer .com and will be utilizing different suppliers in the future. I ordered 5 items initially. Two were shipped, separately. I rec'd a tracking no. for each and I rec'd them. The other 3 items were "pending". I did not receive a tracking no. or notification of any kind that they had been sent. I discovered that there was a different item I needed which would replace one of the items that were not sent yet. So, I called, spoke with one of the order specialists and cancelled the item I didn't need. At the same time I ordered the different part that I did need. I had originally ordered over $1000 of product so there was no shipping. By ordering this new part, I now had to pay shipping that was 50% of the cost of the item. I'm not happy about that but in the overall picture this shipping is relatively small. Then the next day I get an email that my cancellation had been denied. What? The specialist should have known and told me if the order couldn't be changed, after all, I haven’t rec’d notice that it has been shipped. Then 2 days later, 2 of the 3 pending items show up together, one of which is the item I wanted cancelled, mirror relocation brackets. The other item rec'd was the mirrors. Guess what, the mirrors do not fit in the relocation brackets. So, now I have the relocation brackets I don't need, new window hinges coming, supposedly, that will have the brackets for the mirrors on them, and mirrors that won't fit the brackets. But then I received the last of the 5 initial items, doors, and the package has 4 pieces missing. Except for the first 2 items, I have not rec'd notification of shipment or tracking numbers for any of the items. This is a very poor way of doing business as far as I'm concerned. I see incompetence all the way through the system. I am very dissatisfied."
