"I ordered Visio Professional. They mistakenly sent me Visio Enterprise. When I pointed out their error, they issued me an RMA number and insisted that I pay return shipping, AND, to add insult to injury, they charged a "restocking fee" -- after THEY screwed up the order. I paid for UPS return shipping of the Visio package, its shrinkwrap intact.
Their policy is not to refund money but to issue store credit. To date (1 April) they have NOT acknowledged the return of the merchandise, they have NOT corrected (or even acknowledged) their error, and they have NOT sent me what I ordered.
So now they have my money AND the software I ordered.
They have not acknowledged several emails inquiring as to the status of the order or of the returned merchandise.
With all the reputable firms out there offering customer service, willing to fix a mistake, willing to pay return shipping if you aren't satisfied, I certainly wouldn't have anything to do with these inconsiderate, negligent and unprofessional people again.

Addendum: 4/5/2006. The vendor has now promised to refund my full purchase price to my credit card instead of a partial store credit. This is as it should be. I'm still out the cost of UPS to ship it back to them, but I'm not going to force the issue.
They are a "Fair" vendor now. "Good" vendors would have refunded the money immediately upon my returning the merchandise under the RMA policy. An "excellent" vendor would have paid return shipping, probably even expediting this by placing a prepaid return label in the package in the event the consumer was dissatisfied with the merchandise.

"I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Oblivion from Atomic Park because they had the best price with no shipping ($66). But, of course, it was too good to be true. The item specifically stated that it would ship on 3/21, but when 3/21 rolled around, my order still said it was pre-order. I gave them a call and the first guy told me that he had no way of knowing if it would ship on time. Then, magically after I called, the item status changed from pre-order to backordered. I called back and asked if my order was also backordered and the second person said yes. I canceled my order. On the plus side, cancellation was easy. I guess they probably had to get pretty good at that part."
"My worst-ever experience with an online merchant.
I ordered a five-user CA eTrust Antivirus, full retail package (as was specifically noted on AtomicPark's web page).
AtomicPark shipped five out-of-rev CDs for "OEM" version of product, used to preload software on systems intended for resale.
I complained to customer service rep, who immediately started stonewalling, saying in effect that they could ship whatever substitution they wanted, and too bad if I'm dissatisfied.
After exchange of several e-mails, I was offered "store credit", not a refund, and promised an RMA number by e-mail.
After five days, no RMA number.
Another telephone contact finally resulted in the RMA number, and I returned product on my dime.
Meanwhile, I contacted the Wisconsin bureau of Consumer Affairs (Dept. of Agriculture, go figure), and filed a complaint.
By the time Wisconsin responded to my complaint,
AtomicPark had seen fit to refund the full price to my credit card - no idea whether or not filing the complaint had anything to do with this.
Not the straightest bunch to deal with, beware!"
"Well, I pre-ordered an Xbox 360 from www.Atomicpark.com back on November 16 before the release of the Xbox 360. And I waited and waited. About 12 days (Nov 29) later they sent me an email stating "This has been a very popular product.... Based on your place in line, your order will be shipping out the week of December 7th. Rest assured, everything is still proceeding fine and on schedule." So thats good to know Dec. 7. Then on Dec. 7 I receive another email stating "I wanted to drop you a line to let you know the status of your Xbox 360 order... We are confident that we'll have the XBOX 360s in soon, and since you placed your order so early, you're at the front of the line... I've talked to our buying staff, and they've indicated confidence that the XBOX 360s will ship next week. We have been carefully monitoring our orders to make sure we don't oversell -- in fact, we're no longer accepting pre-orders for delivery before Christmas in an attempt to make sure our current customers get their XBOXs in time." Alright missed Dec. 7 but 1 week sounds good. So over 1 week past and on Dec 21 I receive another email stating "I am very sorry to have to let you know that we no longer believe we’ll be able to get it to you in time for Christmas. Our distributors promised us that we’d have enough units to fulfill everyone’s orders in plenty of time for the holidays and they have let us down. Our distributor’s most recent promised delivery date of Tuesday or Wednesday of this week have passed and they now say we can expect them the middle of next week". Middle of next week has now gone and you get the idea about this company. All these quotes are directly from emails I have saved. I will let them speak for themself. They are now saying I am 1 of the first for the January shipment. LUCKY ME!!!! Anyone want to buy a sealed Madden 2006 game. "
"We ordered Mac Office X and it states this on the invoice. They shipped us a windows version, then after calling they said that "we shipped the windows version because it was out of stock and that they thought we might want it anyway". We shipped it back and lost money on the deal. They did refund the original cost but what a bunch of greedy people. Why didn't they just say that it was out of stock?"
"This company is a huge scam. I, like many others, pre-ordered an xbox360. I've pre-ordered many other things from other places and have never been charged until the day the item was shipped. Not so with Atomicpark. They charged the credit card the same day I placed my order. And, of course, they kept emailing me promising they would ship the xbox360 as soon as they received it. First it was 11/30, then 12/7, then 12/12, then 12/18, then the day before christmas, they email saying they won't get them in time for christmas. So, for 1.5 months, they've had at least 2000 people's money tied up (that's how many orders they say they took). If they earned 1% interest on our money they were holding, they would get anywhere from $7000-$21000 in dividends, depending on how many orders they really took. That, to me, is fraud. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible company. Please do the same."
"Despite firm confirmation from Atomicpark that Xbox 360 systems were available and able to be received prior to Christmas, this in fact never happened, and based on the current status from Atomicpark, these systems will not be available for shipping until approximately 1/31/2006. From the time that the order was placed, several emails were sent from Atomicpark stating that their expected shipment had not arrived, but was expected within the “next day or so”. This continual stringing-along, was most emphasized in an email from Atomicpark on 12/16/2005, stating that they still believed that they were able to fulfill the committed orders, and would next-day ship the items to ensure delivery in time for Christmas. This obviously never occurred.
The most troubling aspect of our experience was that payment for the systems was required in advance, and clearly Atomicpark never truly had the products being sold in their possession, nor had the necessary control of these products to meet their commitments. As a footnote, the same system was purchased through another company, and shipping confirmation was received the same day. "
"STAY AWAY! I purchased a downloaded software package on Monday, Dec. 12. They immediately emailed me a download link to DigitalRiver that, when followed, gave an error page. After four emails to AtomicPark (that never were replied to), two voice mails to their customer support (that were also not responded to) and, finally, one live phone connection on Wednesday (after my trying to contact them by phone several times), they resent the invalid link to me via email. When I informed them on the phone that the link was still not functional, they said that they would resolve ASAP. As of two days later (Friday), they had not and I did not hear from them. I called them on Friday afternoon, Dec. 16, and requested that they debit my credit card for the purchase price. They said that they would do so and it would show up within 2 busines days. It is now 5 business days later and they have not debited my account. I've called my credit card company to contest the billing, but I'm not sure how it'll finally get resolved. I have subsequently purchased the software elsewhere (ironically, from another company that provided a functional download link via DigitalRiver that actually did work). I will NOT use this company again due to their low level of technical service, lack of customer support and inability to credit my account for a product that they did not deliver."
"This was the first time the I used Atomic Park, and also the worst customer service online site I have ever used. I purchased software on 11/22/2005 and paid a premium to expedite shipping overnight. As of 11/29/2005, I still had not received the merchandise. I tried emailing Atomic Park several times, but they have not returned an email. I thought thier prices were cheap, now I know why.... they don't deleiver. Stick with Amazon, or other reputable etailers...."
"I'm writing this not for a specific purchase, but because it appears that atomicpark is starting to SPAM it's customers. I've used them for years and been extremely satisfied. But earlier this month I got an SPAM about them starting a newsletter. I never requested this, but since I trusted them it hit the unsubscribe link. A week later I get another SPAM message. Needless to say I'm never purchasing from them again. I've documented this in more detail at http://www.davidheather.com/atomicparkspam/"
"Purchased Paint Shop Pro X for $71.00 and free shipping. The Program was shipped on the 26th and received the 29th Sept.
The price was $31.00 lower than their nearest Competitor. Their service fast. I'll definately be ordering from them again.
Thanks Atomic Park"
"Easy ordering, fast shipping, no complaints there.
However, the confirmation email received after registering on the site contained my password in the clear. Since they store credit card information, this leaves them wide open to serious fraud. If you register on this site, choose a throwaway password when you register, then go change it to a 'real' strong password after you receive the confirmation email."
"Saw they list the Norton Internet Security FULL version and ordered one. The delivery was resonable, took 3 days. But the product was completely different from their description. Instead a full version of the Norton software, they sent me a NOT for retail/re-sale Middle Asia and Africa version CD-rom, no box, no manure. I felt outrageous. They are doing illegal things here."
"Stay Away! Product was described as Full in retail box but arrived as just a cd in a paper sleeve. What's more, the cd was labeled "Not For Resale" and wasn't even intended for sale in the US as the cd clearly stated on the label for the Middle East and Africa. After contacting AP, I was told it was a full product, but just a cd only full product (if such a thing exists - read their description of full vs. cd only). They offered no assistance whatsoever and in a matter of words told me "tough luck". I'm just glad to know I can dispute the charges with my credit card company as I fully intend to and perhaps go as far to report this to the BBB. Stay far away from these crooks!"
"They sold "OEM CD only, for middle east or Africa" version of Norton Internet Security 2005 as full version. They changed the item description but deny the change now and not going to refund/return/exchange the item. This is their "Happiness Guarantee". The worst company I ever had business with.
