"fast shipping. Product arrived as ordered. No problems at all."
"My experience with this company is actually what prompted me to start writing some reviews. Although I'm a bit surprised to see that their review score is pretty low because my experience was quite good.
This was my first purchase with them as I hadn't heard of them until doing a search on Pricegrabber. I usually buy software and computer stuff from Newegg but this time I was in quite a rush and needed my software the same day! I found out these guys were right in Milwaukee just 20 minutes from my house so I was very excited after not having any luck at other retail stores like Best Buy and CC. My whole problem occurred because I started a video editing project with a trial version of Adobe Premiere 2.0, went on vacation, and returned to finish the project finding that my trial had expired! And because of the prorastinator I am, I had to finish within 24 hours!
So I phoned in my order to make sure I could pick it up in person. The rep I got was Eric and he was really nice and very helpful. At first I wanted to get the Adobe Production Suite which also has, Photoshop, After Effrects, Encore and all that jazz but they didn't have any in stock. He was able to find me the upgrade version of Premiere Pro though and since that was all I absolutley needed to finish the project I went with that. The guy even walked out to the shipping dpt. for me to make sure the actual product was there. What great service!
The only thing that sucked was that I had to pay tax because I'm from the same state. But the total price was still less than retail."
"I ordered Paperport Professional 11 from Atomicpark.com. I chose to order from you because of your low price for the software and the additional rebate that was offered exclusively by your company. The customer service rep was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product. When I ordered the software I fully expected to have to wait awhile for my order to arrive, due to the discounted price, but my order was delivered very quickly. Thank you for the quality service/product that you provided."
"I ordered a printer from them on August 2nd. I noticed when I ordered it that the item was 213 dollars supposedly with free shipping as per their policy posted on their website. I sent in an email asking about why there was an 8 dollar shipping fee to which I have yet to receive a reply and also got an email saying that my item had been back-ordered and had an expected ship date of August 10th, 2 days ago. I am not worried yet about this since their site says it takes 1-2 weeks for backordered items to ship. What does concern me is their lack of prompt customer service for my questions. I also checked their website and lo and behold the price has increased to 221 dollars, the exact amount I paid including shipping. It does, however say it is out of stock and back ordered though so I figure someone has checked on things and maybe corrected an incorrect price. In any case, I am still be patient but as time ticks away I am getting more and more weary and less and less likely to order from them again.
UPDATE: They canceled my order. I am kinda bugged since when I ordered the item it was supposedly in stock. They could have told me 2 weeks ago they didn't have the item and ended it there. On the bright side they are refunding me in full, but still I don't think they do business well. Buyer beware."
"Ordered a game on July 5 and selected Super Saver Shipping (7-10 business days). Contacted their online chat support on July 21 and was told game was backordered, even though the online order status had said "Shipment sent to Warehouse" since July 7. So I cancelled the order. Lo and behold I received game on July 31st."
"Finally got my 2 video games I ordered after nearly a month. They actually sent me 4 copies of 1 game and 2 of the other. So about 1-2 weeks before I received my first game their CS began calling me telling me to return the games they sent by mistake. I kept waiting and waiting for the games to arrive so i could send them back but they never came. They kept calling but I didn't have my cell at work so I would get messages and try to call back but they are only open during normal business hours. I'm PST and they are CST so i could never call when they were open. I tried telling them through email about 4 or 5 times but they kept brushing me off telling me to call. So I gave up, then finally I wrote a long drawn out email to them telling them that i need to receive the games before I ship them back then finally someone actually read it and responded. So now I just have to find some time to travel across town to teh UPS shipping store to find a damn place to drop it off. Would highly advise doing business with this merchant. For the couple of bucks you may save, its really not worth the month you have to wait or the time driving around returning stuff they send you that you dont order. Also the phone calls from them...what a headache."
"Simply put, this store DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. They will only accept returns for defective merchandise, and will only replace defective merchandise with an identical item.
Contrary to the store's "Happiness Guarantee" logo, they will NOT accept items with which you are just not satisfied.
This is an absurd and misleading policy and is contrary to every on-line retailer who sells consumer electronics. Places like Amazon, Buy.com, Output.com, Newegg.com, etc. all accept returns, as do all non-online retailers.
Save yourself the trouble and order from someone else."
"Reading some of the reviews made me a little anxious about ordering from this company. Since it was only a $15 purchase, I went with them anyways. I called to verify that what I was ordering was in stock and would ship to me right away. The woman I spoke with was great. She handled my questions and concerns quickly. I am happy to say that my software arrived today (only 4 days later)"
"Ordered software; was backordered without any notice; called week of 7/3/06, was given shipment date of 7/12/06 and apology for no call; called 7/14/06; put on hold for 10 minutes; still backordered. Nobody called. Customer service rep can find no record of my previous call. Cancelled order. Good prices, poor organization and poor customer service."
"I purchased Roxio Easy Media Creator from them and thought it was for a great price. They had free shipping, and without paying extra for it, I was surprised that it came so soon. I ordered on Friday (6/16) and it was here today (6/21). So all in all everything turned out okay."
"On 5/8/06 I ordered the "full" version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional. On 5/18/05, I received a shipment from AtomicPark containing the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional "upgrade" product in lieu of the "full" product that I had ordered. AtomicPark included a letter with the shipment stating that they had problems with their inventory of the "full" product. However, when ordered, their web site stated that the product was "in stock". Their web site continues to state the product is "in stock" (albeit with a $30 price increase). Sending an "upgrade" product in lieu of the "full" product was unacceptable to me. I paid for the "full" product and I expected the "full" product to be shipped. I do not accept substitutes. Had I wanted the "upgrade" product, I would have ordered it as I already had a qualifying upgrade product (Visual Studio 2003 that I purchased from AtomicPark 2 years ago) and I would have saved $200 in the process. However, upgrades are too much trouble to fool with if the product has to be reinstalled (which is always the case with a Microsoft product) so I NEVER purchase upgrades for my development computers under any circumstances.
I sent the aforementioned complaint to AtomicPark in an email and told AtomicPark that if they had the "full" product in stock then they may ship it and issue a call tag to have UPS pick up the "upgrade" product. This was contingent upon immediate shipment of the "full" product. I told them that if they could not ship the "full" version immediately then please cancel the order and credit my MasterCard and I would purchase the product elsewhere. I needed this product when I ordered it and am disappointed in these delays. The product was ordered on 5/8/06 and arrived on 5/18/06. Now, there will be additional delay with another shipment from another vendor.
I am quite disappointed in the current transaction. Why did AtomicPark not call me to tell me that they were out of stock and ask if substituting the "upgrade" would be acceptable? It would have saved us both some time, money and trouble. I told them that I hoped that they could find a way to rectify the current situation to my satisfaction. If not, then they have lost a repeat customer.
AtomicPark responded back by email and stated that someone would call to discuss the matter. No one called. So, the next day I called them and canceled the order and ordered the software from another vendor.
I am very disappointed with AtomicPark. It took 10 days for the product to arrive only to find that they had substituted a product that costs nearly $200 less than the "full" product that I had purchased. I then had to turn around and order the product from another vendor and will have to wait 7 to 10 more days for the software. AtomicPark will never get any more of my business."
"I recently purchased an XBOX 360 Platinum and was shopping for accessories. I found Atomic Park to have the best prices on what I needed:
XBOX360 12 Month Gold Kit - $54.62 ($70 elsewhere)
XBOX360 Wireless Controller - $37.75 ($50 elsewhere)
2 XBOX360 Play & Charge Kits - $16.34 ($20 elsewhere)
Reading the reviews here made me apprehensive, but I went ahead and ordered from them online on the evening of April 28. I am very pleased with the results. I received my order today, May 9, complete and in good order. I saved $43 over buying locally, paid $125 rather than $168 locally. Shipping was free, and no sales tax was due. I haven't had to deal with customer service. If I do, I will update.

"Ordered MS SBS 2003 Upgrade for our MS SBS 2000 server and a 20 Upgrade CAL pack and both were shipped quickly. Both were also full retail packages. The packages arrived in good shape with some handling marks on the box and license pack but otherwise in great condition. Because of the bad reviews I called first and the person I spoke with went and said he put his hands on the packages and described them to me. I was satisfied with what he said and since the price was right I ordered. I must say I am happy with the experience but was weary at first."
"Warning! I had a horrible experience with this merchant! I purchased a game to be shipped on March 29, 2006. (Order was placed on March 23.) On the site it reads 4-6 business days via USPS to arrive. It has now passed the 9th business day and I still have no game, and customer service keeps giving me the run-around. They charged my credit card on March 30. And they do not accept returns. Please, do me a favor and order from another store! Atomic Park rips you off and lies to the customer! "
"Good selection, fair prices, very poor customer service.
When I checked the status of my order, and saw that several days after I placed it, that it still hadn't been filled, I called to follow up. I was told that the product I purchased was discontinued. Well, I asked, when were you going to tell me? They asked me if I wanted to order the updated version of the discontinued product, and I agreed.
They sent me the wrong item. I ordered hardware, they sent a software program. I called to straighten it out, and I was told to call the product manufacturer. Why? Just send me what I ordered! They told me it was the manufacturers problem not theirs. I pointed out that I didn't buy it from the manufacturer, I bought if from AtomicPark. I just want what I paid for. I said I wanted to return it. They asked if I opened the box. Of course I opened the box! They then said that they do not allow returns on opened boxes. The product is unused and still sealed! After much arguing, trying to convince them that I wanted nothing but what I paid for, they agreed to a return, at my expense, and only for store credit. I found the cust.serv. reps to be smug, defensive, and admitted to having little knowledge of products the products they sell, and they take NO responsibility for the content of their website."
