"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have a big problem with this company. First off, they have a history of NOT including all the materials you paid for and they only give you 3 DAYS to research your entire product to make sure they didn't rip you off by failing to ship something you paid for.

This order was placed on 1/21/2003. I ordered a 400 watt power supply as part of my PC. Obviously, most people don't rip apart a new computer to check the inards when they receive it. About a month after I purchased it, I was installing a new video card when I noticed they had actually shipped me a 300 watt power supply. When I called them, they basically told me "tough luck." They said I have 3 days to review my order & notify them of any discrepencies. Since I didn't find this out for over a month, I was out of luck & they refused to ship the appropriate powersupply that I paid for.
Side note: PC died 14 months after purchase. I had to buy a new CPU AND I've sent the motherboard back to the manufacturer for replacement.

This order was placed by my mother on March 5, 2004. My mother paid $50 for them to include McAfee's Virus Scan. My mother picked the computer up from UPS and then the very next day left for a 2 week vacation. My mother is elderly and knows very little about computers, therefore, I had to assemble it for her. Obviously, I had to wait until she returned from vacation before I could get to her house to assemble it. After putting it together, I noticed that they hadn't included McAfee's VirusScan my mother paid for. When I called them a week later to let them know, they gave me the same song and dance. They told me: "You have 3 days after receipt of the computer to notify Americomp of any missing items. There is nothing we can do."
The people are scam artists. They fail to ship items you've paid for and provide an incredibly short & unrealistic time frame (3 days) to notify them of any errors in the order. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!"

"DON'T buy form this site. I ordered two ViewSonic 19" monitors. The packaging was insufficient. The result was the damaged screen. It took me 15 calls to get a replacement monitor. In addition to this the second monitor only worked long enough for the warranty to expire, then the screen started turning blue every once in awhile. Now I have to pay outrageous shipping charges to send the monitor to ViewSonic. I should have looked their reseller rating before I placed an order."

"reasonable to deal with, decent prices. Having to pay return shipping on a DOA product is a minus. Tech support was polite and issued an RMA without keeping me on the line to long. (it was a toll call, but I have free long distance on my cell phone) My creditcard was credited within 4 business days of them recieving my return from UPS. The replacement and another order from them were both fully functional and as advertised."

"My overall experience with this company has been fairly good. The person from sales i spoke with when i originally customized my computer, was very helpful.
The computer has been delivered and so far its working great and i'm very pleased with it.
On the down side however, my item did not ship when i was told it would ship and it did not arrive by the date they assured me it would. This was frustrating for me since everytime i would call to confirm, i would get the run around as to why i was told it would ship on a friday or the following monday, but it didnt ship until that wednesday or thursday.
My last complaint is of the level of customer service i recieve when i call technical support. This company's tech support people are unfriendly and not very helpful. In addition, the "free" lifetime tech support line isnt even an 800 number, so i'm charged for calling tech support.
