"I ordered a $9 part from this vendor. They wanted to charge me $27 shipping. I am in Hawaii, so I expect it to be expensive, but the part is about the size of a pair of scissors and even lighter. I received a call back the next day from a woman who very rudely told me I would have to pay $80 for shipping after-all. I asked her to confirm what the order was for thinking there was some mistake about what I ordered. She couldn't even tell me! All she had was the manufacturer and the manufacturer's part number. While I was able to deduce what it was for, it was no thanks to her.

I will never go to this .com again, and I suggest anyone who does consider my experience.

"I actually had a pretty good experience with them. I have ordered an iPad2 from AValive.com which was listed as "Item Shipping in Limited Quantities and includes Free Shipping". In other words it was Waitlisted. I called them next day and asked how long I would have to wait for it and they said 3-4 weeks. that was much longer than buying directly from Apple so I asked to cancel the order and it was immediately cancelled. The phone support was working and they were polite and understanding. I would definitely order from them again."

"I should have read Reseller Ratings. Same issue - placed an order - took 12 days to fulfill it - horrendous shipping changes, f.o.s. customer services.

Avoid it by all means. Stick with large reputable sellers - Amazon, Newegg, B&H etc. You might spend few pennies on the dollar more - but at least you get some kind of support / service/ reliability.

When they tell you "in stock" - no - actually they have it "in stock" at a third party dealer (if any). Then, after they get your money - btw -pay with credit card not with PayPal - as you can make the CC company fight for you - you are in for a LOOOONG wait. Is your patience, your time and your sanity worth the few percents of saving. Mine - not - and I will never use them ever again!

"I ordered the iPad 2 March 24, I am now writing a review and it is April 28th, no iPad in sight. My order status said it was in fact in stock, and that within 1-4 business days I would receive a tracking number. After 6 business days with no tracking number I called them up only be treated rudely and told that it in fact wasn't in stock. When told that their system automatically says that when my credit is charged. Why was my credit card even charged if it wasn't in stock. I have been talking to customer support and in mid sentence I've been hung up on, put on hold, and transferred to a voice mail. I have cancelled my order. When I was done cancelling my order, I called customer service, never once raising m voice or saying anything unnecessary or rude, I told them that due to there poor service I had cancelled my order. The customer service representative kept cutting me off saying that he was doing the talking not me, and that I was quote a "punk kid".

One thing I have noticed with this company and there reviews is they always have an excuse. It's never their fault. They need to take responsibility if they ever want to be considered a company. They are as of right now a "joke" and will never be anything more. I called apple and talked to a customer support representative who was patient, kind, and listened to what I had to say, unlike avalive. Hmm I guess apple doesn't just hire anyone. Other companies should consider this, then again avalive isn't a company. They are a pathetic excuse for an online seller at best.

A note to anyone who dares to attempt to buy anything from here, don't just don't. A horrible experience, I hope no one else will ever have to go through.

"Their game is to low ball an item and then charge grossly overcharge for shipping after you have placed the order.

The charged $19.95 for shipping when it shoult have cost $5.00.

You cannot call them to contest.

"AValive guarantee's overnight shipping at a premium. What they do not inform you of is their cut off times, or that they don't operate on the weekends. So if you miss their cut off time on Friday at 3pm they will still charge you $43 for over night shipping and you will not receive it until 4 days later. And to find out their cut off times you must search through their faqs. Their customer service is indignant and unhelpful. I will not use them ever again."

"I ordered several modular components for an audio stand (1 base unit and 5 shelves) on 12/21/2010. The web site indicated these were in stock and would ship within 1-3 days. My card was charged immediately.

A week goes by with no confirmation of shipment.

I email customer service. The indicate they are backordered and would ship on 1/27/2011. Finally on 1/27 I receive notification that the entire order shipped. When the package arrived, apparently only the base module shipped. I emailed customer service, they had no idea what happened. Now they indicate the rest of my order will ship on 3/11/2011.

Clearly they are drop shipping these from the vendor, and have no accountability for what is transpiring.

This is unacceptable for 3 reasons.

1) Showing backordered product is "in stock"
2) Lack of knowledge about what actually shipped, and the status of orders
3) Charging my CC for items that would not be shipping for months.

Never again with AValive.

"ordered a tv stand over the new yrs wkend, avalive didn't send me any tracking info til the 6th!! contacted them via email once & chat once & they seemed perturbed that i even asked! so the stand is due to be delivered the 10th so i'm happy with shipping, just not pleased with their communication skills when asking about my order & status. found them to be a bit on the rude side. oh well. hopefully the glass panels with the stand will arrive intact!"

"I've only ordered once from AValive and it was a fantastic experience. The CSR was very clear about stock status and shipping options. When I asked what I could do to ensure the order would drop-ship from the mfr the next day (which I desperately needed), she basically said, "Submit the order online by 3pm ET and you're good." I submitted the ordered around 1pm ET and I received shipping confirmation the following day as expected. The shipping confirmation stated the order would arrive today (11/15/10), as I'd specified, and it did.

I won't hesitate to order from AValive again.

I ordered my custom Middle Atlantic rack from you last Tuesday, around 4:15 PM CST. It arrived on today's UPS delivery run before noon!!!!! Wow! Not even a full week.

"i am cancelling my order. their website boasted having a product in stock. because i usually don't trust website stock status, i called up to confirm that my part was in stock, and spoke to a person that agreed, the part i wanted was in stock.
surprise surprise, the next day i get an email "oh, sorry, we don't have that in stock."

"These guys solved an order problem that another reseller (from Amazon.com) managed to mess up. I wish that I had contacted AValive first and I have put them at the top of my vendor list. I explained the problem and solution offered by the bad vendor and the AValive support person (Bill) provided the missing gear and expedited shipping for on-time arrival. These guys have my highest rating."

"I ordered the wrong product in error and e-mailed to cancel the order. AValive returned the e-mail the next day after the product shipped and told me to contat the rma department after I received it. I did and they told me they were planning to charge me over $100 to restock it and I would have to pay shipping. The only contact I have had withe the company is from CSR2 by e-mail. No one from this company signs their emails. I can see why with their business practices!

My original email was dated May 3, before delivery:

"The ordering process was easy and the products arrived on time. I ordered late on a Sunday night early Monday morning I received a call asking me to confirm some changes on Friday afternoon I was enjoying my new equipment. It all came in brand new undamaged packaging and I couldn't have been more pleased with the products. I would recommend AValive to anyone who wants great products at a great price.
